Our good friend Jeff Jansen brought the Renewal to River Rock in 2004.  In 2005 he was one of several seasoned prophets who gave River Rock direction to go to Reno.  We are currently working with Jeff to have him come to the Nugget in 2009.  I just got an e-mail that Jeff will be on TBN tonight, October 28th, on the Praise the Lord show at 7:00 P.M.  You can learn more about Jeff at:

Jim Kibler Financial Increase Reviverance!

As most of you know, the vision that we have for the Reno/Tahoe region is an Apostolic Training Center.  Therefore I feel that we need to add teaching and training to what God is doing at these Outpouring meetings.  Patricia King used the term "reviverance" to describe a cross between a revival and a conference.

In the future, I am planning on combining the Outpouring  move of God [revival] with conference style training.  This week's Outpouring features teaching on Financial Increase by Pastor Jim Kibler from Melbourne Florida.  Pastor Jim's basic premise for teaching is two fold.  First, he believes that just like the Outpouring carries a special activation of faith for healing, he carries a special activation of faith for financial increase.  Most of you realize that Jesus taught on finances more than any other subject.  Jim believes that faith is activated by hearing the word and that is what he preaches.  When you come expect that your faith will be activated in a new area, the area of finances and provision.

Secondly, in the same way that  I lay hands on people to receive an impartation for healing Jim lays hands on people for financial increase.  Just like we see many miracles for healing Pastor Jim sees many healings for finances. Our good friends Pastor David Howard and his wife Betty spent a Sunday at Pastor Jim's church in Melbourne a couple of weeks ago and spoke with a man who was one day away from being evicted from his home which was in foreclosure.  Today, this man is a millionaire and just bought a new truck for his son.

This week's meetings are really a five session conference.  Each conference builds upon the last one so it is best if you can make each one.  No matter what, you should come to at least one meeting.  Of course, we will be getting words of knowledge for healing and doing a fire tunnel!  As usual, please make sure to invite friends, people who need Jesus, people who need a healing, and people who need faith for supernatural provision!  You can use the button below to forward this e-mail to others.

Forward to a Friend

There will be child care at each meeting.  Remember, if you want your child to go collect candy on the 31st you can still make it to the conference and drop your child off for our "harvest festival" style child care where they will have a good time and get their candy as well!

Re: [revival-fire] Taking Action

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******

"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.-Isa 40:31"

Funny thing about that verse is the meaning of the word "wait". We know the Old Testament was writtin in Hebrew therefore we look up the Hebrew word for "wait" and find- Qavah (a verb--verbs mean action!)
Qavah meaning: to wait or look eagerly for, to hope, expect, to bind or twist. So... They that "eagerly pursue" the Lord, they are the ones who renew their strength! Ah ha!
Funny how we read that and think...all we have to do is rest with God, just wait on Him to move, just WAIT! When it actually means the exact opposite! We are to Eagerly, and Passionatly Pursue HIM! God loves to use us--which requires us to move in action! While we are sitting around "waiting" on God, He is also waiting on us to move to action and realize that He has given us everything we need--we are the answer!

The reason why "waiting" and "resting" with God is such a desire for us is because it was our very first mandate...going all the way back into Genesis where God created man to have dominion over the earth, to enjoy His presence and enjoy intimate relationship with God... Well we forget the second mandate that was put upon us. After the fall of man, Christ had to die to restore that relationship with God, to restore that intimacy with Him. But remember when Christ spoke to us in Mark 16:15 and said "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation..." That was our second mandate to GO! and Going requires action! We dont have to wait for a "feeling" or a "calling" to come over us and then we GO... no! its in the Bible!! We are ALL CALLED TO GO!!!
But this mandate goes against our first mandate witch was to REST! That is why the church has struggled so long....We want so badly to just rest in Him, to just BE in His presence (which is totally why we were created in the first place!) However we have to realize that there was a second mandate given to us and that was the responsibility of GOING into the world and making disciples! There will be a time again when our original mandate will once again be restored--and that is when Christ comes back for His Bride and we will day and night get to rest and wait and just BE with our awesome God.
Yes absolutly take time to Rest in God, to WAIT in His presence... we still need to take time to get filled up in Him so that we can continue poring out. But do not let that be your lifestyle that you live....Live a lifestyle of GOING, SHINING, WARRING, PORING OUT, Fulfilling your mandate and your calling!

Just to show a different perspective..... :)

I'm with Kevin...No longer waiting--i'm choosing to be apart of the Chosen generation! meaning...i am passionatly pursuing my God and His promises and not holding back untill i receive ALL that He has for me!
And with that eager pursute will I receive His Strength to keep going!!!! I am running the race to win!!!!!!!!!

Sometimes the action is in the "sitting". There is a book from Watchman Nee called, "sit, walk, stand". He was a Chinese minister in the early 1900's that died after 20 years in prison for preaching about Jesus in Red China. His teachings were published and are rich.

Often the ways of the Kingdom are opposite from that of the world. The world's definition of "action" involves "busy"ness, and often we come to Christ and feel like we need to be put to work right away. The intention is often to work and show Him how much we love and appreciate what He's done for us. The intention is beautiful, but sometimes can distract from the RELATIONSHIP that needs to be developed.

I have learned that in the Kingdom, the work is in the sitting. True ACTION occurs when we SIT with Jesus for as long as it takes for Him to make the crooked things straight, and to bring the mountains level and to raise the valleys up.

We find that the more we sit with Him, when He calls us to stand, walk or fly. The effort is minimal in comparison to the effectiveness; and, also many pitfalls are avoided that come from acting before our character can handle it.

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.-Isa 40:31

I find that in Kingdom matters, it is always best to think upside down :D

I guess what I am trying to say is... the key to gaining momentum in the Kingdom of Our Lord, Jesus Christ.. is to sit with Holy Spirit and see what He sees; I think you will amazed by the "action" that will occur in bringing you to the promises of God.

LOVE,
CHER

[revival-fire] taking action? Let's Get real!!

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******

Though I love your heart to get direction from the Holy Spirit – let's make sure we stay biblical.

The word says – SPEAK – and the Holy Spirit will give you utterance.

Jesus said "GO" – we must believe that the Holy Spirit will lead us.

Speak – then we get the words

Go – then we get the direction.

This is not always the case, yet, Abraham started walking before he knew where he was going.

Often times We are so busy sitting, God is just saying – read the Bible, it says – TAKE ACTION!

When we read the word and it says that "they that WAIT on the Lord shall renew their strength."

The Hebrew word here qavah, which means with "eager anticipation", "passionately pursuing".

That is the kind of action God talks about.

Throughout the Bible God calls on His people to give Him more than just lip service.  He asks for more than just believing in the heart – He asks for confessing with your mouth.  He says faith without action is dead!

We must take action – and we must "TAKE BACK THE NIGHT!"

Messages that encourage complacency are popular – yet they conflict with the message of Christ – one word – GO!

Try it- you just might change the world!

[revival-fire] Dutch Sheets on Praying for Election 2008

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******

Forgive me if this has already been sent out on Revival Fire, but this is So important! Let's keep interceding for this election.

-----------------------------------

Letter from Dutch Sheets
October 20, 2008

Dear Praying Friend,

In 2000, I wrote the 2nd most important letter of my life—a call to prayer for the elections of that year. I'm now writing what may be my most important letter. I knew the importance of those elections in 2000 was beyond any in my life up to that point and that the spiritual warfare surrounding them would be unlike anything any of us had ever seen. That letter was read by millions of people and I believe millions of them responded by praying. I also believe the prayers turned the tide.

You may question whether President Bush was the right choice; obviously, he has made some blunders in his tenure as president. But two of his decisions alone left no doubt he was God's choice: Roberts and Alito. These two Supreme Court Justices have proven critical in the process of breaking the hold of humanism, death and anti-God agendas that have ruled the Court for 50 years. I assure you that more devastation—the shedding of innocent blood, immorality, decay of the family and an erosion of our godly heritage—has flowed into our nation through that institution than any other door in America. Many times more. The poison allowed into America through their decisions is beyond any of our abilities to articulate. The reality in America is that you don't need to control Congress or the White Hose to rule the nation. You only need 5 people – 5 out of 9 on the Supreme Court. And for decades those who disagree with just about everything you and I stand for have been in control!

In Bush's two terms, the process of turning this around began with the appointments of Roberts and Alito. Now, we win some cases 5-4 and lose some 4-5. (We barely outlawed partial birth abortion. The vote of one judge saved thousands of babies from this horror.) We need one more conservative Justice for a consistent majority, then more to build a strong majority.

In Obama's own words, "the next president will appoint at least one, perhaps two or more Supreme Court Justices." He's right. Almost certainly two or more older, liberal Justices are waiting until after the elections to retire, in hopes of Obama winning and appointing more liberals to replace them. And he certainly would. He voted against the confirmation of Roberts and Alito. So did Biden. And Biden led the fight against Justice Thomas several years back, another of the 4 solid conservatives. Make no mistake about it, the two of them do have a litmus test for Supreme Court Justices, and a major part of that test is Roe vs. Wade. McCain and Palin, on the other hand, both have very strong pro-life positions. This alone makes the choice for President simple. To vote for the 2nd and 3rd most liberal senators (Obama and Biden), both of whom are firmly and blatantly proabortion, would be unconscionable. Obama has actually said that if he wins, he would like h is first action as president to be the signing of the Freedom of Choice Act, which would eliminate every other law against any aspect of abortion (partial birth abortion, parental notification, etc., etc.). And with a democratic majority in the House and Senate, pretty much any legislation he and Biden want to pass will be a slam-dunk. There are many other unrighteous positions they hold but this position alone makes the choice easy. If they win this election, it will set America back decades in the cause of life and the restoration we seek.

Just as many of you do, I too, want to see a first black President, but not Senator Obama. To allow that noble and godly desire, the economy or one's position on the war to trump this issue of life and death for the innocent unborn is simply wrong. The scriptures teach that if we choose first to exalt righteousness and turn from evil, God promises to heal our land (see Proverbs 14:34; 2 Chronicles 7:14). It is righteousness that exalts a nation, not wealth, prosperity or armies. If we will finish the process of removing the curses of death and anti-God laws off of America by electing a president that will continue to shift the Court, God will grace us with breakthrough in other areas such as the economy, the war against terrorism, etc. My faith is not in a person, and certainly not a political party, for the healing of America, but I know God's word and His ways well enough to know that our decisions do move Him to action or inaction.

Now to the heart of my reason for writing this letter . . .

. . . I now feel the need to raise my voice. I am appealing to you to pray for these elections the next two weeks like you've never prayed for any in the past. Faithfully. Passionately. Boldly. Ask God for His mercy and grace.

We deserve His judgment for removing His influence and authority from our government, schools, homes and businesses; for the killing of 50 million babies; for leading the world in the consumption and exporting of pornography; for passing laws to reject His; etc. But mercy triumphs over judgment and in His wrath He remembers mercy. In 2000 we actually lost the popular vote and won the election—talk about grace! Please pray for this grace to be released again.

But I am also asking you for something more than normal prayer. For those of you who understand spiritual warfare, I am asking you to also include this aspect of prayer. There is no doubt that we have entered a Daniel 10 moment in time: "Then he said to me, 'Do not be afraid, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart on understanding this and on humbling yourself before your God, your words were heard, I have come in response to your words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia was withstanding me for twenty-one days; then behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left there with the kings of Persia'" (Daniel 10: 12-13 NAS). The spiritual warfare in this election is incredibly fierce, and just as it was in Daniel's day, is all about the restoration of a nation. And also like Daniel, we must keep praying until we win the battle in the heavens.

In August of this year I predicted that September would mark a shift in momentum for these elections. This happened with the appointment of Sarah Palin as the Vice Presidential nominee (who is a true Esther in our generation), but when the economy began its meltdown and the media ramped up their unprecedented attacks on Palin, that momentum wasn't sustained. But we can see it turn again if we approach this battle as the spiritual warfare it truly is and bind the evil forces involved (see Matthew 16:18-19). The reality is that this election can be the breakthrough we need to fully shift the Court (and ultimately our nation) or it will be an immeasurable setback that could take many years to reverse—if ever.

Please understand what I am saying: if we engage in this battle and do what I am asking—in mass—we will win; if we do not, we will lose. I, for one, don't intend to allow the latter. I am in Washington, D.C. now (October 20-22) with Lou Engle and a team of prayer leaders from around the nation to war for this election. Join us! Lose some sleep, miss some meals—pray! Pray like never before for these elections. And as you do, involve yourself not only in petitioning prayer but also in spiritual warfare. Use your God-given authority over the plans and strategies of satan's kingdom. Bind all witchcraft that is working to control the outcome, including occultic powers that are suppressing truth. Release Christ's Kingdom rule in every way the Holy Spirit leads you.

Don't be deceived and don't lose hope (if you have to, turn off the TV.) It is not too late to turn these elections. God is plenty powerful enough to do so. The real question is will we rise to the level of prayer and spiritual warfare necessary to release that power. And remember, we don't need a majority of Christians who are willing and able to do this—only a praying remnant. We can do it!

Here are some practical suggestions to consider:

1) Fast (a meal a day; a day a week; a Daniel fast; 3 days; 10 days; TV; etc.) and spend the time praying.

2) Agree in prayer with someone everyday for God's will to be done.

3) Form/participate in prayer groups regularly. Churches could pray everyday.

4) Take time in every gathering to pray. (Take 15 minutes in every service to pray for the elections. Turn an entire service to harp and bowl style intercession—worship and prayer combined.)

5) Join 2 or more on a conference call and pray for 15, 20, or 30 minutes.

6) Pray on the way to work (and on the way home).

7) Pray before you go to sleep.

8) Pray before church services.

9) Ask God to give you His strategy—He will!

In His grip,

Dutch Sheets

(Also because of IRS rules, I can not send it to my ministry database and therefore need your help in getting it out.) Do with it as you see fit, but my desire is that you forward it to as many praying friends as possible.)

A WORD FROM LOU ENGLE:

They came like waves crashing onto the shores of California. Leaving behind a legacy of glory and apostolic influence, great manifestations of the power and love of God broke in on past generations of hungry saints. Waves of God's great presence cascaded upon her shores in 1906, 1919, 1947, 1948, 1967, 1971, 1980, and 1994. These waves are California's revivals. In the midst of unspeakable decadence, corporate greed, cultural trend setting, and global pornographic exportation, there lies deposited deeply below California's crusty surface gold-there's oil in her hills. Something continually draws God to the scene. Could it be that God is drawn to her pain? Maybe God sees her shores as hosting planet's lost prophets with misplaced passions or maybe he is drawn to the cry of her wandering masses. Whatever be the case, He comes, and when he does, the entire world is changed. The tongues of fire that erupted a t Azusa have lit up the world. The revivals sown in Hollywood loosed great evangelists like Bill Bright and Billy Graham. The Jesus Movement gave us Calvary love songs that have kissed the youth of the globe. The new wine of worship and healing came from California's vineyards. These ancient songs awaken us from our nightmare and remind us something that was and can be again. Hollywood, the "woman at the well", could become the great evangelist again in these last days.

In 1946, Franklin Hall launched a fasting and prayer movement out of San Diego with a book called Atomic Power With God Through Fasting and Prayer. Thousands were stirred to enter into extended consecration fasts. Shortly after, the great healing revival broke out in 1947, followed by the campus revivals, and the Hollywood revivals in 1948. In the very same year, across the globe in the heart of the middle-east, by God's divine mandate Israel was again called a nation. Could there be that there was a connection between what God was doing in California and the orchestrating of His divine purposes in the creation of the nation of Israel? Is it possible that the outpouring of God presence and the igniting of prayer in California were in reality connected with God's heart to birth an entire nation? I believe it was global Joel 2 moment in which the scripture promises that after the fast, God would restore the land and pour out his spirit on all flesh. I hear TheCall again; "Gather the people, call a fast, and afterwards I will pour out my spirit."

Now 50 years later, California sits within a fog of Jezebel confusion. Recently the Supreme Court of California disregarded the votes of the people and legalized homosexual marriage. The entire world listened attentively as the mayor of San Francisco boasted, "As California goes, so goes the rest of the nation. Its inevitable, this door is wide open. It's going to happen whether you like it or not. This is the future, and its now." The world is looking to California for moral leadership while California finds herself caught in the snare of idolatry and self-worship. Recently I received an urgent call on behalf of hundreds of pastors admitting that California wouldn't be saved simply political petitioning and confessed the reality of an ongoing spiri tual battle within the state and the need to mobilize for mass fasting and prayer. They asked us to bring TheCall to San Diego, not knowing that we received several powerful directives from the Lord a year ago that TheCall was going to go to the stadium in San Diego.

This bill mentioned is a reflection of how far down the line we have come in removing the very moral foundations that preserve society. The moral levies in America are breaking and once marriage is redefined, it will be a matter of time before the entire structure of morality collapses within our nation. In one sense, this bill mirrors our own inward moral concessions as a church to the prevailing culture, and it is the fruit of a compromising silence that has failed to confront the rising spiritual and political contenders. But it is not too late! This is not a time for hiding in caves. This is a time to resist mightily the spirit of peaceful coexistence and apathetic resignation in the face of this prevailing darkness. We are coming to a Mount Carmel moment, which I believe could be the church's finest hour where she challenges her own compromise and then gains authority through prayer and action which is her true vocati on. Then our light will break forth like the dawn and truth will no longer be trampled under the feet of renegade kings and judges. The church is not at the mercy of political decrees of destruction. Jesus is the Lord of history! Though these decrees stand today, they will not stand forever. God is the one who reverses the edicts of man, using the church as an agent of righteous revolution to displace kings and overthrow their decrees through the weapons of fasting and prayer.

Therefore, we are summoning believers from all across the state of California and the nation to gather for a Joel 2 moment. When there is no remedy, when there is no natural hope, God still has a holy prescription. Blow the trumpet in Zion, gather the people, and call a fast. Let the believers of this great state gather and cry out to God believing that California could become the flash point of real change in America not the open door to societal collapse. Let us return to the fasting praying womb in San Diego and seek the face of God on November 1st, 2008 at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, CA.

[revival-fire] Book Reports

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******
So yesterday Kevin and I (both RCSM 1st year, Family Christian Center, Orangevale) were tidying up our book reports and listening to our church's own Chere Davis(Awaken album).  We ran into one fundamental problem: it is near impossible to write let alone read while drunk, plastered, and smeared in the Holy Spirit.  WOW.  What started as a simple cleanup on homework became a brain paralysis.  Then we had a duet(same album) with Chere and Kelsey(RCSM 2nd year) and I was like "OK, time for a break, this homework ain't happenin'".  Get your's.  It will lay you flat in His presence, just plain awesome.

Fw: [revival-fire] Taking Action

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******

LOVE,
CHER

[revival-fire] 3 Powerful Testimonies W/Pics -- Dews -- 10/27/08

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******
ACCELERATION

As we have said quite a bit lately, we are seeing an acceleration in healings.  The stories of people receiving healing are every much as dramatic as those we have seen in foreign countries.  These are just but three stories over the last month of how God is moving:

HAD NEVER HEARD HER OWN VOICE!

Jessica was born 18 years ago with collapsed eardrums.  She had never been able to even hear her own voice.  Her mother often got on her about having the stereo or TV on too loud.  During prayer for impartation, she felt her ears "pop."  Then, the next day when we activated the congregation, she got further prayer.  Her ears "popped" again.  Then she realized she could hear without having her MP3 unit turned to 24.  Then it was down to 14, and finally at such a low level, her mother couldn't hear it -- but she heard perfectly!

DID YOU KNOW THE GARAGE DOOR LIGHT "CLICKS?"

Melissa received prayer for her hearing loss caused by the ringing in her ears (if God did it for Jessica, why not her?).  It didn't seem as if anything had happened.  But when she went home that night and her husband turned on the garage door opener, she heard the light "click" for the first time.  He said she stayed there for another 5 minutes, listening to the sound of the "click."  The next day, she was at a mall outreach and at lunch in the food court she commented "it's soooo loud here" and that was a good thing for her!

SHE BECAME 3 INCHES TALLER AFTER PRAYER!!

Sonja got a life threatening disease when she was 1 year old.  She wasn't supposed to live, then she wasn't ever supposed to walk.  She's been defying the odds all her life.  But, it left her with a swayback and her tail bone poked out.  Her doctors told her if her spine and back were normal, she would be 3 inches taller.  When she walked into the meeting, several people noticed she was definitely shorter than her husband.  After several rounds of prayer, she stood next to her husband -- and as you can see -- she's taller than him!!

ALASKA & WYOMING -- HERE WE COME

We are rejoicing over these, and many other, testimonies we are seeing happen as God pours out His healing power in our meetings.  After a trip to the Bethel Church Pastor's Advance in Redding the first week  of November, we'll be conducting meetings at Crossroads Community Church  in Wasilla, Alaska on November 14-16.  This is just an incredible church positioning itself for further revival.  Then, the next weekend, we'll be at Community of Hope in Casper, Wyoming, also a church hungry for more of the power of God.  It was a year ago that we had such powerful meetings there, and we're expecting even bigger things this time.  Blessings.

I am just back from a visit to Albania, the church there is exciting, open and willing to receive. During these Days the Lord showed me that it isn't more teaching that the church needs but true fathering, because it is fathering that makes disciples. So here are some thoughts to ponder!!!

Paul said in 1Co 4:15  For though you have countless guides in Christ, you do not have many fathers. For I became your father in Christ Jesus through the gospel. 1Co 4:16  I urge you, then, be imitators of me.

One of the things I know is that we are a generation of well taught believers, There are seminars, Bible & training schools in abundance, Young people can go almost anywhere in the world today to be taught. I often look back over some of the wonderful teaching I have received and feel encouraged. What really challenges me is that there don't seem to be many fathers… those who say imitate me… we don't seem to be making disciples! Discipleship isn't something that happens, disciples are made.

There is a view that discipleship is something we learn in the classroom, by doing a course or attending services, but Paul says "Imitate me"… To become a disciple you have to get close enough to the teacher to be able to imitate them. Our modern church has elevated teachers to a position where we hear them speak but it's almost impossible to get really close to them.

Discipleship is a sort of apprenticeship. When I was at school, quite a while ago now, apprenticeships where for the practical hands-on folk. As I write a workman has arrived at my house, he has a 17 year old with him learning how to tile the kitchen… he is doing all of the servant jobs but I observe, learning well from his boss! It reminds me that when I was a young man, many of the workmen who came to our home often had a son, nephew or grandson with them learning the trade. I wonder if this is the way we should be training the next generations. This is where my heart lies!

Whilst in Albania I'm sure I drank more coffee than was good for me, the reason? A company of Spiritual sons wanted simply to sit around in the local coffee shop and tease things out of my years of experience… Important questions on an array of topics not usually preached nor taught in a classroom. Often to do with manhood! Sometimes one to one, other occasions in a small group of three or four… we would wrestle with the life changing subjects currently on the table. This is now a feature of my life in fulfilment of the challenge to "Make Disciples". I work with a company of mighty men, my wife with Innovative women… what lies at the heart is to make disciples.

Since returning I have found myself stirred by the thought that making disciples is a lost art. Are we training and equipping apprentices of the Kingdom. Do we operate on the basis "I've got something to teach you" or "Imitate me"? Let's get out of the formal setting and wrestle with the issues that mark out the man and woman of God.

True Discipleship is the future of the church …

Have a good week!

[revival-fire] Conrad in Porterville

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******

Hi folks,

Just wanted to confirm a last minute addition to our itinerary. We will be next Wednesday in Porterville at Landmark Christian Center with Pastor Paulette Blaylock. For directions and other information please see the website at http://www.landmark-christian.org/.  This is the church where we saw a massive display of gold dust a few years ago after we held a series of meetings for a long time the dust appeared on the walls, furniture and people, even on people eating at restaurants nearby. We believe it was simply a way of reassuring, a ‘shiny’ confirmation of what God has in mind concerning his people in Porterville.

Moving toward a move of God

JC

[revival-fire] Testimonies & How you can be come one!

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******

Hopefully i can get this out before the clock strikes 12am sunday morning HELLO.  I should have posted this sucker yesterday night but I was way pooped.  I actually fell asleep in front of the computer as i was waiting for it to load.  Oh, well!  I want to share a couple other testimonies for your holy ghost stirring pleasure.

Thursday, October 23, 2008:
Inside our last class for the day with Andrew Davis.  We're going over the new testiment under the of ACTS.  Andrew for whatever reason shares with us that he's a bit buzzed, because he was drunk in the Holy Ghost in the office.  Okay so Andrew starts reading something and miss read a word and everyone starts to laugh, well then the holy ghost stirs Devon and he falls out of his chair.  Everyone is laughing.  I was laughing so hard that i had to get up and go pee.  I truely would have pissed myself.  I get back into the room everyone is still laughing and now at me.  I sit down and then first year comes in and start laughing a well.  Now where all in it together.  Andrew by now is drunk and swaying back and forth be for fall on the floor.  First year students go back to their room and we've all busted a gut and trying to get this over.  Devon is still laughing, okay moving on (well we tried that).  Andrew says some word wrong and now i bust up laughing and keep try to stop, but the spirit of God was freakin strong.  I kept say "okay, for real time", "okay, no more let's focus".  I was wasted for a bit.  I had never gotten drunk in the holy ghost before.  I remember having Dan-O pray for me to get holy laughter.  Two years later here we are.  Praise God for that awesome moment.  It's funny at the end of class i get this revelation from God, without think i just say it, "It's funny we got drunk in the holy ghost, while learning about the book of Acts where this all took place."

Friday after school I headed downtown to hangout.  I went to Wal-Mart to buy some toilet paper to give away for the homeless outreach / BBQ.  This minstry called "PROJECT 61" puts on these bbq events for the homeless who live near the "Snake Pit" off the american river bike trail.  The event started at 6pm, yet my crew didn't show up until close to 7pm.  I brought Davey and his brother Tom who is brothers with Ven.  His wife Michael came and so did our friend Becky, they brought some warm coffee in a thingy.  We got there and saw a few young folks from the Co-op college group.  Brain Hanover & his wife where there helping some women find used close that fit them.  I passed out what teepee i had to whoever.  Then i went over and just hungout behind the serving table and waited for something to do.  While ther i finally got to met Heath who runs this event.  He was so excited to finally meet me in person.  I've chatted with over myspace since Janurary of this year and now i'm finally here helping.  I watched this dudes bike while he got his hotdogs and cup of milk.  His name was Dan and he was maybe 50 or 60 something.  He was telling how good that warm meal was and how he all most could have missed out on this.  Dan told me that three months ago he overcame cancer.  He was stuck in Hospice because the cancer he had was so bad that he was dying.  He told me that he's not a Religious man, but he asked God to help him survive.  He told me he went in for one treatment of kemo and it took the whole cancer away!  Praise God, God really came through for Dan.  Dan told me that afterwards he, just wanted to get back on the streets and ride around.  He didn't like sitting on his butt all day watching tv.  His testimony touched me, i even felt honored standing nexted to someone who defeat Cancer by the help of God.  After that i helped collect trash and just watched the happy faces off those who got a warm meals.  i met a few new folks as well.  One guy I met was from the Sacramento Chapter of The Dream Center.  Their connected to the one in S.F and L.A., their building is on the same block as the county health center in downtown.  This guy was telling me that every friday evening they give out two bags to each person on the bike trail.  One bag is of fruit for nutrition and the other is toiletries.  Also once a month on a saturday morning they make a warm breakfast for the homeless.  I told the man that i would like to join your ministery and i know other who are down to help.  Other than that it was an interesting night.  The way everything was set up reminded me of the two trip to the slave camps in mexico.  Evrything was the same just about.  I kept thing about Mexico the whole time i was there.

That night was just awesome.  I wish more folks and even "christians" could be a part of these things.  If your still reading this one i'm amazed.  Two umm whatever i'm gonna say it.  ...why is that some of us goto church on wednesdays nights, friday nights and sunday mornings and yet all the stuff we learn, we just keep to our selves?  This world is falling apart and people dying each day without the love of God.  Where are those who have learned about Gods love, yet haven't used it on the world around them except at church?  If this speaks to you get off your fanny and get plugged into a ministry or just be yourself and let God move you to a direction that needs help.  I'm not saying don't go to church, i'm saying less functions and more doing.  I'll probley get crap for this, but I hate being silent.
