RE: [revival-fire] Taking Action

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******

THANK GOD FOR HIS WORD, HIS WORD IS TRUE AND HE IS FAITHFUL IN WHATEVER SEASON WE FIND OURSELVES IN.

THIS WORD IS A PROMISE TO THOSE WHO WAIT, YOU SHALL RUN (BE READY TO TAKE THAT ACTION) AND NOT BE WEARY, YOU SHALL WALK AND NOT FAINT.

LET US KEEP MOVING AND ADVANCING IN THE KINGDOM,
'BLESSINGS!

Isaiah 40:28-31 Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD,
Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary.
His understanding is unsearchable.
He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength.
Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall.
But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles,
they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******

'But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.-Isa 40:31'

Funny thing about that verse is the meaning of the word 'wait'. We know the Old Testament was writtin in Hebrew therefore we look up the Hebrew word for 'wait' and find- Qavah (a verb--verbs mean action!)
Qavah meaning: to wait or look eagerly for, to hope, expect, to bind or twist. So... They that 'eagerly pursue' the Lord, they are the ones who renew their strength! Ah ha!
Funny how we read that and think...all we have to do is rest with God, just wait on Him to move, just WAIT! When it actually means the exact opposite! We are to Eagerly, and Passionatly Pursue HIM! God loves to use us--which requires us to move in action! While we are sitting around 'waiting' on God, He is also waiting on us to move to action and realize that He has given us everything we need--we are the answer!

The reason why 'waiting' and 'resting' with God is such a desire for us is because it was our very first mandate...going all the way back into Genesis where God created man to have dominion over the earth, to enjoy His presence and enjoy intimate relationship with God... Well we forget the second mandate that was put upon us. After the fall of man, Christ had to die to restore that relationship with God, to restore that intimacy with Him. But remember when Christ spoke to us in Mark 16:15 and said 'Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation...' That was our second mandate to GO! and Going requires action! We dont have to wait for a 'feeling' or a 'calling' to come over us and then we GO... no! its in the Bible!! We are ALL CALLED TO GO!!!
But this mandate goes against our first mandate witch was to REST! That is why the church has struggled so long....We want so badly to just rest in Him, to just BE in His presence (which is totally why we were created in the first place!) However we have to realize that there was a second mandate given to us and that was the responsibility of GOING into the world and making disciples! There will be a time again when our original mandate will once again be restored--and that is when Christ comes back for His Bride and we will day and night get to rest and wait and just BE with our awesome God.
Yes absolutly take time to Rest in God, to WAIT in His presence... we still need to take time to get filled up in Him so that we can continue poring out. But do not let that be your lifestyle that you live....Live a lifestyle of GOING, SHINING, WARRING, PORING OUT, Fulfilling your mandate and your calling!

Just to show a different perspective..... :)

I'm with Kevin...No longer waiting--i'm choosing to be apart of the Chosen generation! meaning...i am passionatly pursuing my God and His promises and not holding back untill i receive ALL that He has for me!
And with that eager pursute will I receive His Strength to keep going!!!! I am running the race to win!!!!!!!!!

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******
Sometimes the action is in the 'sitting'. There is a book from Watchman Nee called, 'sit, walk, stand'. He was a Chinese minister in the early 1900's that died after 20 years in prison for preaching about Jesus in Red China. His teachings were published and are rich.

Often the ways of the Kingdom are opposite from that of the world. The world's definition of 'action' involves 'busy'ness, and often we come to Christ and feel like we need to be put to work right away. The intention is often to work and show Him how much we love and appreciate what He's done for us. The intention is beautiful, but sometimes can distract from the RELATIONSHIP that needs to be developed.

I have learned that in the Kingdom, the work is in the sitting. True ACTION occurs when we SIT with Jesus for as long as it takes for Him to make the crooked things straight, and to bring the mountains level and to raise the valleys up.

We find that the more we sit with Him, when He calls us to stand, walk or fly. The effort is minimal in comparison to the effectiveness; and, also many pitfalls are avoided that come from acting before our character can handle it.

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.-Isa 40:31

I find that in Kingdom matters, it is always best to think upside down :D

I guess what I am trying to say is... the key to gaining momentum in the Kingdom of Our Lord, Jesus Christ.. is to sit with Holy Spirit and see what He sees; I think you will amazed by the 'action' that will occur in bringing you to the promises of God.

LOVE,
CHER

[revival-fire] GOING LOWER STILL...Update...

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******
Hey guys....so I thought I would write just a quick update on whats
happening in my life....It has been so interesting....The past couple of
months have been filled with times of going lower still and watching God
break into the lives of others as I have traveled to here and there and
then from there to here... =)
On the personal front Papa has brought me down lower still. I find the
lower I go, the higher He sends me to soar...the weaker I become, and
embrace the fact, the more I overcome in the strength of joy! I have even
found how much He cares for even the littlest things in my life. I have
watched Him over and over simply show Himself real. The other day, out of
no where there was $40 for me in the fridge!!! I mean come on Jesus!!!!
He just shows Himself real daily. It isnt so much of what He does as it
shows who He is. The greater I yeild the more free I become. The more I
lean, the more I trust, the more I see of the greatness of our God!!! I
have really just been lost in Who He is...looking into the eyes of fire
that burn for me, they burn for you, they burn for the lost and dying of
the world...
I have had the wonderful opportunity to simply travel around California
in the last couple of weeks and just seen God totally invade the lives of
people. From church houses sitting on a hill to the streets of San
Francisco, I have literally watched the love of God invade the lives of
many. I remember in one church just hugging people, and this one older
lady began weeping in joy as I shared about the love of God literally
swirled around her, and she could actually feel it. There was
breakthrough in that moment for the love of Jesus to come and invade her
situation. I remember sharing on "faith simplified" in a church and a
woman walking up to me almost in tears thanking me, because she didnt
know what faith looked like, and to know that faith was something
attainable, faith was something reachable, and wasnt some mystery, but a
simple act of yeilding to Jesus meant the world to her. I also find joy
in helping serve other ministers. Recently had the opportunity to serve a
well known prophet and was so blessed just to be able to lay my life down
low, to pray for her and serve her as she prophesied an amazing word for
this hour.
I was recently on the streets of San Francisco with a my friend
Tiffany, where we bumped into a homeless woman who looked as if she was
in a frenzy...shouting and screaming about something or a rather, lol.
Needless to say she was making a scene on this busy day in the city of
Saint Francis. So we decided to walk up to her and tell her it was FREE
HUGS DAY and how much Jesus' loved her!!!! The lady just wept in our
arms...she shared her whole story with us, and so we prophesied over her,
prayed with her, and blessed her with some money to get a room and some
food for the night. You could see she was impacted through simple love. I
often say that I enjoy much more ministering out on the streets because
no one notices you, and there is no one to praise you for what you just
did...it is simply you being you and being a conduit of God's love. It is
simply amazing and I love it. It is incredible to watch God work miracles
and see how simple love changes everything.
I have been so blessed in the last couple of weeks in just loving the one
in front of me, sharing Jesus, sharing what He is saying...as well as
receiving His love. Oh to simply sit in His love, and to gaze into His
eyes...Often in this place I am wrecked, I am ruined by the sheer beauty
of Who He is. I am undone by the amazingness of His Glorious Being. Oh
how I long to walk in union with Him. To be one with Him always in my
goal in life. To know Him and the fullness of Who He is. To know His
length, and hight, and depth! To know I am His and He is mine. To walk in
the reality of that is what I attain to daily. I pray you would taste of
His wonders anew as I have.
Please pray for me, and for the support to come in as I prepare for my
next Asia tour this new year. I leave again for Asia with Iris Ministries
in the months of January and February. My desire is to return to Hong
Kong for a couple of days, then travel to Korea and India with Iris for
the remainder of the trip. I know part of the trip focus will be on the
prayer movement and a portion of the trip will be focused on work with
children at risk and orphans. I am extremely excited for this trip as it
will be a first for me traveling to South Korea and India. It is a double
honor for me, because I will get the chance to work alongside a dear
friend of mine within India who has been like a spiritual mom to me, as
well as reconnect with Iris Ministries. Please pray for this journey with
me for Papa to really break through, as well as for my support.
Thanks again for all of your prayer and support!!! It has been
incredible!!! Know that ALL things work together for OUR GOOD!
Much love in Jesus,
Daniel Black

upon you. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and thick
darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon you, and his glory
shall be seen upon you." (Isaiah 60:1-2 KJV)

HENRY & GRACE FALANY BIO
Henry & Grace Falany founded Mariposa Revival Center in 1989.  The church is
located in the county of Mariposa, California.  Mariposa is a mountain community
on the Mother Lode of the historic 1849 California Gold Rush.  It is also the home
of Yosemite National Park.

Since its inception the Falanys have guided the church to focus on preaching the

uncompromised Word of God, ushering in the "presence of the Lord" through

worship, restoring the Tabernacle of David through uncommon prayer endeavors,

an extensive and expanded Feed the Poor program, and restoring the healing and

deliverance ministry of Jesus to the body of Christ and the world.  They have also

been used by God to spark revivals, or spontaneous uncommon moves of the Holy

Spirit in numerous churches besides their own.  In one such move as many as 20

regional churches came into unity and were swept into the move. See "Feast of

Fire Revival" and "What Leaders Say"

at:  http://www.MariposaRevivalCenter.com

With revival shut up in their bones, the Falanys are also itinerate church and

conference speakers around the country and internationally.  Called a mom & pop in

the Kingdom, they minister to leaders as well.  Pastor Henry has often been called a

pastor to pastors.

Henry & Grace travel and minister with an Apostolic anointing and experience many

healings and miracles in their meetings. To help spiritual revelations come alive,

Pastor Henry's preaching is often salted with a lot of country humor and interesting

illustrations by using stories of his many life experiences in the great outdoors, and

southern swamp and bayou up-bringing.

Grace, as well as preaching, moves in a strong seers, deliverance and healing

anointing.  Henry's ministry usually features fiery prophetic messages to the church,

as well as an uncommon healing anointing.  It has also been said that he has a unique

"convincing" gift that affirms the people with a "You and God can do it" spirit.  It has

been said that God uses him to take the people to the next level in their personal

ministry and walk with the Lord.

The Falanys also teach and train healing classes in churches around the world.

Henry was inducted into "Who's Who in California" in 1984.

They have three adopted children, (Bernadette; born in 83 is Salvadoran and married to

Trent ~ Travis; born in 84 is Mexican, and Maria; born in 85 is Dutch-English) who all love

the Lord, plus one (so far) beautiful granddaughter .. Bernadette and Trent's.

P.S.

Prior to pioneering the ministry, for 25 years, as world renown outfitters and guides, the Falanys

pioneered and conducted White Water River Expeditions, Inc.  Under their direction WWRE became

one of the world's largest river running companies taking people from all over the world on several

days to week long white water rafting and camping trips on the Salmon & Middle fork of the Salmon

River (River of No Return) in Idaho and the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon and all the major

rivers of the western United Sates.  They also conducted deluxe island camping and scuba

diving/sport fishing expeditions in remote areas of the Caribbean off the coast of Belize, Central

America.

In addition, they owned a horse breeding ranch and showed and campaigned several "working cow

horses" and "cutting horses" to state, national, and world champions.

Now, as pastors and international preachers they take occasional breaks with horses and mules and

pack train into the High Sierras to "ride the high country," camp, fish and enjoy God's handiwork.

RE: [revival-fire] taking action? Let's Get real!!

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******

Wow - not wanting to continue with just more words, and not having the time for real exegeting of Scripture here on Revival Fire - Please, let's try not to be ones who take scripture out of context.... Please.
We all truly believing that encountering God is the point, and that works alone is fruitless.  But while many Christians are waiting, thousands are perishing and not encountering God.
Yes - while we wait in the comfort of our homes, churchs, prayer rooms, for direction, there is a lost and dying world out there who are longing for the encounter that we bring.
We don't need a prophetic word.
We don't need to hear a clear voice from heaven.
We don't need to wait for another program from our church.
You don't need to attend another conference.
and NO it does not require hourse of prayer.
Christ laid it out simple in his words over and over again.
Raise the dead, heal the sick!  He exampled - do this with compasion.  He exampled relationship and spoke of it, but it was always followed with encountering a dead and dying world.
Not just living in the world - but transforming it.
We are the salt of the earth!  What happens when salt loses its saltynedd?  It it thrown out.
COME ON - lets make a different - and lets stop giving excuses for why we are inafective.
And PLEASE!  The last thing the world needs is more offended Christians.
Get over it - and change the world.
Do the one dying and going to hell - they could care less if somone offends you in your Christianity.
I am sorry - I am on the front lines fighting a war.
If you would like to join me - you would find me GOING! which means - you may have to get up.
Can we finally find what it means to be a warring bride?

See ya in the battle

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******
I never dreamed that my suggestion of sitting with Jesus and PURSUING an intimate relationship with him, would be equivalent to complacency. Maybe it's the word sit that is disturbing. hmmm...

There are many "busy" Christians in the world. That is a different kind of Go. The actual PURSUIT is knowing God. The rest comes as part of the package. However, if you focus on the package (making disciples, healing the sick, raising the dead, casting out demons) you risk missing out on the TRUE purpose.

I know, that I know, that I know. . . that ANYONE who truly pursues time alone with Jesus Christ has the rest of the package PURSUING them. When you carry the anointing of the tangible presence of Jesus Christ that is SMEARED on you from being WITH him, God sets up one divine appointment after another and you begin to do "only do what you see your Father doing". It works.

It's not a life of complacency and lethargy; but of adventure and abundance. But when we focus on the GO and the WORKS, you end up like the poor minister Jesus describes in Matthew 7:21"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' 23Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!' where Jesus says, "depart from me, I know you not.. you doer of iniquity".

Read it carefully. Jesus is NOT talking to some laid back DO NOTHING kind of "christian". He is talking to a GO GETTER.. someone who prophecies, drives out demons, does MIRACLES!! ~ but Jesus himself says He NEVER knew him. Jesus calls him an EVIL "DOER"...

What made his doing evil???

There is nothing wrong with the GO, it just must be done in order, and by HIS command.

The trick is falling IN LOVE with Jesus. For when you truly love Him, the work is no longer WORKS but an outward expression of Love for Him, from Him and to others. The GO is no longer a matter of Getting it done because "SOMEBODY's got to do it!" TO go, because HIS word is burning in my bones and I can't NOT release it.

Even though both ways have the same "outward" appearance of doing good for the Lord; only one will have the grain inside of the shaft and be wheat... only one will stand past the fire. Only one has the true heart of God inside.

SO by all means GO! GO! GO!
Love the LORD your God with all your, heart, soul, mind and strength.. and all that THAT entails. Be sure and post it here so I can read all about it :D

I love you all dearly,
CHER

Though I love your heart to get direction from the Holy Spirit – let's make sure we stay biblical.

The word says – SPEAK – and the Holy Spirit will give you utterance.

Jesus said "GO" – we must believe that the Holy Spirit will lead us.

Speak – then we get the words

Go – then we get the direction.

This is not always the case, yet, Abraham started walking before he knew where he was going.

Often times We are so busy sitting, God is just saying – read the Bible, it says – TAKE ACTION!

When we read the word and it says that "they that WAIT on the Lord shall renew their strength."

The Hebrew word here qavah, which means with "eager anticipation", "passionately pursuing".
That is the kind of action God talks about.
Throughout the Bible God calls on His people to give Him more than just lip service.  He asks for more than just believing in the heart – He asks for confessing with your mouth.  He says faith without action is dead!
We must take action – and we must "TAKE BACK THE NIGHT!"
Messages that encourage complacency are popular – yet they conflict with the message of Christ – one word – GO!
Try it- you just might change the world!

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******

"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.-Isa 40:31"

Funny thing about that verse is the meaning of the word "wait". We know the Old Testament was writtin in Hebrew therefore we look up the Hebrew word for "wait" and find- Qavah (a verb--verbs mean action!)
Qavah meaning: to wait or look eagerly for, to hope, expect, to bind or twist. So... They that "eagerly pursue" the Lord, they are the ones who renew their strength! Ah ha!
Funny how we read that and think...all we have to do is rest with God, just wait on Him to move, just WAIT! When it actually means the exact opposite! We are to Eagerly, and Passionatly Pursue HIM! God loves to use us--which requires us to move in action! While we are sitting around "waiting" on God, He is also waiting on us to move to action and realize that He has given us everything we need--we are the answer!

The reason why "waiting" and "resting" with God is such a desire for us is because it was our very first mandate...going all the way back into Genesis where God created man to have dominion over the earth, to enjoy His presence and enjoy intimate relationship with God... Well we forget the second mandate that was put upon us. After the fall of man, Christ had to die to restore that relationship with God, to restore that intimacy with Him. But remember when Christ spoke to us in Mark 16:15 and said "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation..." That was our second mandate to GO! and Going requires action! We dont have to wait for a "feeling" or a "calling" to come over us and then we GO... no! its in the Bible!!

Sometimes the action is in the "sitting". There is a book from Watchman Nee called, "sit, walk, stand". He was a Chinese minister in the early 1900's that died after 20 years in prison for preaching about Jesus in Red China. His teachings were published and are rich.

Often the ways of the Kingdom are opposite from that of the world. The world's definition of "action" involves "busy"ness, and often we come to Christ and feel like we need to be put to work right away.

I guess what I am trying to say is... the key to gaining momentum in the Kingdom of Our Lord, Jesus Christ.. is to sit with Holy Spirit and see what He sees; I think you will amazed by the "action" that will occur in bringing you to the promises of God.

LOVE,
CHER
