 I was overwhelmed by God's goodness when I saw these incredible pictures! Whenever you think that the issues of your life are too overwhelming... just take a look at what God can do! Isn't He awesome! I know we've all seen some of these before, but it never hurts to be reminded just how powerful our God is. Take some time to REALLY look at each one, and then just worship the King of Kings!

 

Astronomers Select Top Ten Most Amazing Pictures Taken by Hubble Space Telescope in Last 16 Years  '...they illustrate that our universe is not only deeply strange, but also almost impossibly beautiful.'   After correcting an initial problem with the lens, when the Hubble Space Telescope was first launched in 1990, the floating astro-observatory Began to relay back to Earth, incredible snapshots of the 'final frontier' it was perusing. Recently, astronauts voted on the top photographs taken by Hubble, in its 16-year journey so far Remarking in the article from the Daily Mail, reporter Michael Hanlon says the photos 'illustrate that our universe is not only deeply strange, but also almost impossibly beautiful.'   Enjoy! Hubble Telescope's top ten greatest space photographs.     Awesome!!! The Sombrero Galaxy - 28 million light years from Earth - was voted best picture taken by the Hubble telescope.  The dimensions of the galaxy, officially called M104, are asspectacular as its appearance It has 800 billion suns and is 50,000 light years across.   The Ant Nebula, a cloud of dust and gas whose technical name is Mz3, resembles an ant when observed using ground-based telescopes...  The nebula lies within our galaxy between 3,000 and 6,000 light years from Earth.   In third place is Nebula NGC 2392, called 'Eskimo' because it looks like a face surrounded by a furry hood.  The hood is, in fact, a ring of comet-shaped objects flying away from a dying star.  Eskimo is 5,000 light years from Earth.   At four is the Cat's Eye Nebula.   The Hourglass Nebula, 8,000 light years away, has a 'pinched-in-the-middle' look because the winds that shape it are weaker at the centre.   In sixth place is the Cone Nebula.  The part pictured here is 2.5 light years in length (the equivalent of 23 million return trips to the Moon). The Perfect Storm, a small region in the Swan Nebula, 5,500 light years away, described as 'a bubbly ocean of hydrogen and small amounts of oxygen, sulphur and other elements'.   Starry Night, so named because it reminded astronomers of the Van Gogh painting.  It is a halo of light around a star in the Milky Way.   The glowering eyes from 114 million light years away are the swirling cores of two merging galaxies called NGC 2207 and IC 2163 in the distant Canis Major constellation.   The Trifid Nebula. Yes, we would like to invite you and/or your church to help reach the lost!   We will be having a "Santa's Big Night" Event on Sunday night, December 21st  Time 6 - 9PM.  Our street will be closed and a train for the kids will be here.  The house has 85,000 lights and Santa will be here.  Last year several thousand people show up and this year we have received more exposure and are expecting many more people.    Kids and Families have their pictures taken with Santa, kids can talk to Santa and he gives each child a candy cane.  It's amazing how much Jesus ministry our Santa (Pastor Daniel) gets to do with kids.  Last weekend two Russian boys came by the house who Pastor Dan led to the Lord last year and since then they led their parents and grandparents to the Lord and found a church.   These Christmas events almost didn't happen after I (AKA as Mrs. Claus) broke my T12 in my back and was in the hospital for two weeks in November.  But God is doing something bigger than us to reach out to a lost and dying world and people that need hope.  We pray that our lights and events will do and be whatever God wants to reach people for Christ.  We have a lot of needy kids and families that are not in church or know Jesus that need help and will be here that night.   Our purpose for this event is done for 2 reasons - To SPREAD the gospel about JESUS and the true meaning of Christmas To support our 4th Annual Christmas Toy and Food Drive We need help from our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ - Talk to people about the true meaning of Christmas - pray for people - lead people to Christ Caroling up and down the street with Christian Christmas songs If your children's choir or youth choir would like to come sing - YOU are invited - just call me to get scheduled - there is not many time slots We hope to have two bounce houses and need help manning them. A Live nativity Face painters Balloon Twisters Got a talent you would like to use - Call us! I'm amazed at what a central message Hebrews 11 gives us about what we cannot see! I think God is trying to tell us that for believers, we need to be much more centered upon what we cannot see that what we can. This came out in our Saturday outpouring meeting and we put it up at the podcast site ( www.allnations.podomatic.com ). The Kingdom world of the Father's is so very real. It takes the world's pressure off of us when we start looking at Jesus and just living the Kingdom life as He did when He was here. We are on quite an adventure, I think.
