I broke my foot two years ago and had a screw put in to reconnect the bone. My foot started increasingly hurting near the screw for three days before the outpouring meeting. It hurt a lot on the way to the meeting. During the meeting the Lord took all of the pain away and it has not returned. Praise the Lord!

This Outpouring is a culmination of many prophetic words.  In the 1980's there were many prophetic words about Lake Tahoe being ringed with the fire of the Holy Spirit.  As the years passed the Holy Spirit would move down the Truckee River through Truckee and then to Reno where there would be revival.  The Highway 40 Festival is a celebration of this prophetic word coming to pass and a time of claiming the victory in the land.  Don't miss out!

Dear Eric,

The question is "How long shall we keep having Outpouring Meetings?"  Currently, the answer is "as long as people keep coming and supporting this move of God"   We currently have meetings booked in September and October in Reno and Truckee and are continuing to book meetings in the Sacramento and Fresno areas as well.  I keep getting e-mails about miraculous healings, freedom from addictions, depression gone, and people saved and on fire for Jesus.  This is good fruit that is picked from a tree that was planted with years of intercessory prayer from people on their knees crying out to God for a mighty move.  Well, now the move is here.  Can you recognize the times and seasons and move with God?

King David UriahSome have said that since God's man for this Outpouring has fallen that this is not a move of God.  If that were true then we might as well give up.  The Apostle Peter denied Jesus three times in one night!  I don't remember the church giving up.  King David had the  man killed who was married to his lover.  Amazingly, I know some people that still think King David is a positive role model in the Bible.

I believe that Todd will be restored to ministry in time.  I believe that we must stand in the gap and pray for his restoration.  Now its time for us to pick up the mantle and carry on.  Do people still need to be healed?  Do people still need Jesus as Lord and Saviour?  Do regions need revival?  Of course!  The army of God does not give up because one man needs rest.  NO!  We pick up and carry on!

Therefore, I want to make it clear that I am ready to keep going to see the sick healed, the lost found, regions re-fired, and the oppressed delivered!  However, I cannot do this by myself.  I need you to stand with me.  There are dark forces that would try to throw water on the fire of revival and to divide God's people at this critical time.   We need prayer warriors to continue to stand in the gap and others to shout it from the hilltops and others to step into their gifts of hospitality and service and healing etc.  Will you stand with me to see this great vision continue?  If so, please e-mail or call me and let me know.  Then, please forward this e-mail on to everyone that you know.

[revival-fire] MAIN POINT FIRST -- THEN, GREAT STORIES -- DEWS -- 8/27/08

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******
ONE DAY, WE'LL ALL KNOW JUST HOW GOD USED US

This is the main point -- and I believe, an important one – of this report.  And then some great stories and testimonies of God at work on the missions trail.

This was soooooo fun to hear.  In December, one of the men this church has taken into their program to rehabilitate those coming out of alcoholism, broken families, drug addicts, etc, went through a fire tunnel.  Afterwards, I prayed for him.  While out, his spirit left, saw the lights, and when he came back to himself about 15 minutes later, his blind right eye had been healed!!

And here's the major point of this report.  The testimony is sooooo important.  We had not heard that and it would have been – and is – so encouraging.  When something happens – healing, deliverance, salvation, provision, the mighty works of a loving God –- it's important to let someone know.  It will encourage them when they need it most.  It also underscores another point.  I believe when we get to heaven, we're going to run into people we've prayed for, had a word for, did a kind act for, etc.  We're going to find out what God did through us, that we never knew about because we never saw them again.  It's only because we went back to this same church that we know this testimony.

BACK TO BRASILIA

The assignment – continue the revival training in Brasilia.  We had led a team for Randy Clark's ministry, Global Awakening, last December, and the leadership of one of the major, influential churches there wanted us to come back and pour more into their vision for revival in Brasilia.  This time it was just the two of us, so we asked a couple who have traveled with us before, John & Laura from Ankeny, IA, to join us.  We have seen and prophesied they would do what we do, and this was their coming out time.

DECEMBER'S DEPOSIT DEVELOPES DIVIDENDS

We had six nights and five days with the church.  We taught on the prayer model for Healing and Deliverance, talked about the Glory and experienced it, about ministering outside your comfort zone to see miracles, and challenged them to greater hunger.  Many, many healings and even some deliverances.  But one of the fun things about a trip like this only eight months after you've been there is to see what kind of effect you've had.

They are moving in a greater anointing for healing.  They are pressing into the Lord – everyday the church is open in the morning and there is always someone there praying.  Their regular services can easily last six hours – and our final one Sunday night did – and they think nothing of it.  Ready for more!  Some of the things we saw happen:
** Called "turtle" because he had hurt his ankles 8 years ago and literally couldn't run.  He ran!
**  Bass player developed problems in his playing fingers and even suffered partial numbness – totally healed!
**  Pastor's 15 year old son – had prayed for friends at school silently, but no boldness to do it openly.  During the "Glory" service, he was taken to heaven, told and shown what boldness would be like for him.  Next day, he prayed for a young girl's swollen knee in front of everyone and it was returned to normal!
**  A woman came to the service the day after a couple prayed for her in the intensive care unit at the hospital.  She was much improved, but that night two of us had words of knowledge for  "heart valve" and that's the problem she had.  Pain left, breathing got normal – and then she got saved!!
**  Woman with pain in her breast – told the Lord "I want you to heal me" – and He did when I called her out and touched her ----- on the hand.
**  Pastor's sister, always under a "dark cloud."  I did deliverance – she literally glowed for the next 3 days we were there!  No fear, no depression!
**  John & Laura led the meeting at another church.  They prayed for a man on crutches.  He couldn't put any weight on his leg and there was much pain and swelling.  The pastor took a video while the prayer was ongoing and it shows him slowly starting to bend his knee, start to gingerly walk, give his crutches to someone and for the rest of the night he walked normally!  C'mon!

HEALING SEMINAR – THEN ANOTHER SOZO SCHOOL

Next, we're off leading a team to Medellin Colombia.  Then after a Healing Seminar in Washington state, at the end of September we'll be conducting another Sozo School at our former church, The Mission in Vacaville.  Check our website for details and registration.

[revival-fire] Answer to prayer request

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******

Thank You all for praying for my dear friend Earl. God has come through again in a Big way. So many of you wrote me back with your personal testimonies of His healing in your life and prayers for Earl. I copied them off on Monday and wanted to send them for his encouragement. I found out late Monday by another friend, that he was leaving Tuesday morning for the hospital and would be in isolation for 4 weeks undergoing the chemo treatments for leukemia.
I awoke at 5a.m. Tuesday (very unusual for me) and the Lord kept me wide awake and beckoned me to go to his home in Loomis to take him the letters of encouragement you had sent to me the day before. God instructed me not to call him and just go. He lives way up on a hill, and the Lord said to call him first before going up the hill, within minutes of his home. When he answered, I asked if I could come up to give him these letters from revival fire news, Earl said sure but we were just 2 mins. from leaving to go to the hospital in Sacramento. I quickly went up and told him I had put him on Revival fire news for healing and felt the urgency to get these to him before he left, then prayed for him quickly and left. As I was leaving, I said, Lord if this diagnoses is not right do not let my friend go through even One treatment of chemo.
I received a phone call last night from a friend who knew how the Lord had told me to put his need for healing on this site and that I had been in prayer for him on Monday. She said the leadership had received an e-mail from our Sunset singles pastor (we are all part of a big singles ministry at Sunset Christian Church in Rocklin). She continued with: "Earl's at Home, when he arrived at the hospital that morning (Tues.) they said he did not have leukemia, they don't know what he has, but it is not leukemia and he won't need chemo." They sent him home. I fell to my knees with Thanksgiving and tears, Praising the Great Physician for His Faithfulness, 11:59, but God showed up!!!!   Thank You All in Jesus Mighty name,   Ruthy

[revival-fire] Lets lift a fallen warrior

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******

All My Dear Friends,
There are thousands and thousands of people who have been blessed by the Lakeland outpouring. I myself have received such rich and everlasting blessings from this very peculiar, and precious man of God. At this point the wild fires of judgement and condemnation are growing at an alarming rate. And many are even saying that this whole wind of delicious change brought through Todd Bentley and Fresh Fire Ministries is a sham and that there were no healings. Well I for one have received two miraculous healings from this revival. But I must say the most amazing miracle of all that I received in Lakeland, was the raw worship and fellowship that I (a very peculiar person indeed) experienced together with thousands of other peculiar people, being driven to get to Lakeland for a very powerful touch of Heaven. And all of us who went with a desire to gather with others to lift God up and delight in His touch and presence on such a mass scale, were truly blessed. Yes there are faults and imperfections in this man called Todd Bentley, but I am so glad that God has never used perfect people to do His works. For I would be cast out at the front of the line. I am praying for Todd and his family and Fresh Fire Ministries everyday. And I am pouring into them and sewing restoration into them. I am so thankful for God's peculiar people. And I am so thankful for the call on Todd Bentley's life. I am reaping the blessings from it. I am experiencing this revival everywhere I go. This revival has gone around the world and has spread into hearts in churches everywhere. People are worshipping together and seeing miracles happen in their churches and homes like never before, as a direct result of this revival. Please don't forget the blessings that God has brought us through this precious and peculiar man called Todd Bentley. He put his life on the line to break Jesus out of the box, and because of his reckless and very passionate way of bringing Jesus to the forefront, Jesus is out of the Box and moving once again in a multitude of peoples lives. Do not let history repeat itself once again. Instead of crucifying the messenger for being once again imperfect, lets together restore him to brightness, with our prayers. Lets show the Father of mercy how merciful His children have become.

Jesus got up from supper, took off His garments, and taking a servant's towel, He fastened it around His waist... Then He poured water into the washbasin and began to wash the disciples' feet and to wipe them with the servant's towel with which He was girded ~John 13:4 & 5

Most people, even many who are not of the Christian faith, know this story of how Jesus Christ washed the feet of His disciples... It is a beautiful picture of the love and devotion Jesus had to His own, and magnifies the lengths that He would go to in order to teach them all they needed to know for the days ahead... And in all of this, I would like to reflect upon one particular thought, and that is that it takes God to do a menial task properly...

Whatever Jesus touched became holy... Some people have that gift... Because they approach simple tasks with a heart of love and selflessness, that simple task becomes a holy thing... The task they undertake is never too small to bring about a large blessing...

I believe that the lesson that Jesus was teaching with this demonstration was that He wasn't looking for superstars... There are tasks to be done in our families, our homes, our work places, our society, and we are not above those tasks... We are called to take something that is profoundly simple and manifest He who is simply profound...

It is natural to look at the small, menial jobs that we are called upon to do in our home, or in our church, or at our jobs and think that they don't matter... But, in reality it is those things that we think people recognize the least that matter the most... It is the common, ordinary things that we are called to do in such an extraordinary way that others will look at our service and be impressed by the Spirit of God in us... We may not feel worthy or capable, but God is calling us to perform small tasks that will reflect His love...

Think about those people in your life who had the greatest impact... Was it a President or a movie star? Most often it is someone like a mother, or a teacher or a coach that are the people who impact our lives the most...

Those who were there to do the day to day, tedious, often monotonous tasks that we needed to help us grow and reach our potential... Washing feet has little to do with a towel and a basin, but it has much to do with being willing to take on the ministry of the unnoticed...

We show Jesus to others by doing those ordinary, unnoticeable tasks that anyone can do, but often nobody does... How can you make a difference? How can God become real to you? Be Jesus in your home, or your work place, or at the coffee shop... Pick up the towel and the basin and wash feet... Help another who has a need you can fill... Show others that Jesus Christ is reaching out to them through you...

[revival-fire] Fwd: An Update on Lakeland from Peter

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******

Dear Revival Fire friends,

We felt that we needed to post this statement from C. Peter Wagner regarding Lakeland.  Wagner has been involved with bringing order to numerous situations in the past, as well as being an apostolic voice in the Body of Christ.  This posting has already been circulated among other newsgroups.

An Update on Lakeland from Peter

August 25, 2008

I was in the San Francisco airport on my way to Singapore and Indonesia when the news of Todd Bentley's separation from his wife became public on August 12. When I arrived back home last week, I found that Doris had received and replied to around 1,700 emails and the stack of correspondence on my desk was unbelievable. It took me the rest of the week to catch up!

During the week I was gone, a major watershed occurred regarding the Lakeland situation as most of you would know. We are now on a new playing field. Lakeland Outpouring I, in which Todd Bentley was the main figure, is now history. Lakeland Outpouring II, in which Stephen Strader of Ignited Church is the main figure, has begun. The Outpouring started in a local church, went to a tent, and now is back in the local church. My suggestion is that we no longer use the term "Lakeland Outpouring" but rather distinguish between Lakeland I and Lakeland II because they are very different.

Let me talk a bit about the present, then revisit the past, then project the future.

The Present

It will sound surprising to some, but Lakeland II in Ignited Church, which you will remember was the original host church, is going very well. The big crowds and GOD TV, of course, are gone. Ignited Church seats around 700 in the main sanctuary and Stephen Strader reports that on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings they have to use their overflow room. It is comfortably filled on week nights. The morning training sessions continue with a couple hundred every day, and teams continue to move daily into the streets of Lakeland spreading the gospel. Percentage-wise the dramatic miracles and healings occur nightly with probably a higher percentage of salvations on a daily basis. Support from local pastors is improving considerably. The most interesting report is that every night some 30 percent are first-time attenders, meaning that people are still coming to Lakeland from the outside to experience Outpouring II. A lady from our church with a severe chronic back problem went to Ignited Church and came home healed! Such a thing does not usually happen when a public figure suddenly goes down the tubes, so we need to take our hats off to the apostolic gifts and role that Stephen Strader is demonstrating for us.

Speaking of the public figure going down the tubes, Todd Bentley now carries the label of a liar and a deceiver. I'm sorry to mention it, but I felt personally deceived in the same way when Ted Haggard's sin was exposed and he was immediately removed from ministry. In the Lakeland I case, I am elated at the way things are turning out. The Revival Alliance with whom Todd was aligned on June 23 has kicked into action with a vengeance. Ch
hn and Bill Johnson, like me, were overseas when things broke, but John Arnott stepped up to the plate and moved in apostolically. It has since become clear that Todd's Fresh Fire Board could not have handled the situation, Stephen Strader and Ignited Church could not, nor could any of his other close friends. Only the Revival Alliance could. I am delighted that they are not buying into typical charismatic soft morality, also called "greasy grace" or "don't touch God's anointed" or "mercy must triumph over judgment," phrases that have been used on other similar occasions as convenient religious cop-out excuses. They're proceeding in love, but it is tough love!

Since this is an update, I will share some of what I know about what is happening with Bentley, but not all because some things need more verification and it is up to discernment of Revival Alliance what and when this will be revealed. Suffice it to say that there is more than I am going to mention. First of all, Todd has been removed from public ministry until further notice. He has resigned from the ministry he founded, Fresh Fire, so he is no longer a part of that board. It has become clear that he indulged in periodic drunkenness. He has no intention at the moment of reconciling with Shonna, nor does she with him. Their marriage has been torn for years by his emotional attachment with at least one other female whose physical contact went beyond hugging and kissing and holding hands. Enough said-maybe more details will be revealed later-but it was clearly immoral. All of this was skillfully concealed by lying and by swearing close associates who had observed his behavior to secrecy. Stephen Strader, for example, knew nothing of this before June 23. Apparently some of his board members did, but they did not have the ability to deal with it.

The Past

I hope this is the last time I will have to address the past. It is now history. But as history is written, I feel that I have some responsibility of helping to have history be written accurately, especially since I have turned out to be a lightening rod for a number of severe criticisms.

Most of you know this, but let me reiterate to keep it on record. Previous to around the middle of June, my interest in Lakeland was about a 2 on a scale of 1-10. Then I got a call from Stephen Strader, the host pastor who was a member of ICA, which I lead, with a passionate appeal for apostolic intervention because chaos and confusion had begin to invade the Outpouring I. Toward the end of the hour we were talking, I received one of my infrequent direct words from God: "Alignment!" Just one word, but I knew I had a divine command and responsibility.

Once I knew that God had assigned me to initiate some sort of apostolic intervention at Stephen's side, I began praying and consulting with close colleagues. In less than two days I discovered that Todd Bentley had no formal, established apostolic alignment. I asked God how I should proceed, especially since I had no inclination to attempt an apostle-evangelist approach and expect that Bentley would submit to or even listen to what I had to say if I made an appointment with him in Lakeland. I felt that proper apostolic protocol would be for me to deal with one or more peer-level apostles to whom Todd had aligned apostolically. Since as yet he had no such alignment, I began asking God how such an alignment might come about. He directed me to my close friend, Ch
hn, who himself is apostolically aligned with me and who also had been close to Bentley for years. Chgreed that the best apostolic protocol would be for Todd to align with the Revival Alliance if he were willing. Challed him and Bentley agreed to submit publicly to the Revival Alliance.

At this point some disagreements arose. I have already mentioned that I was consulting with several apostolic colleagues whom I trusted and whom I know trusted me. It is very necessary for us to understand exactly what the disagreement was about. It was about the most appropriate apostolic protocol for the occasion. After prayerfully listening to the different points of view with careful consideration of what was being said, the decision had to be mine. I believe that God's word to me about "Alignment!" had to be directional. I concluded that the best protocol was to do the alignment first, then deal with the issues that had been raised. My other friends disagreed and urged me to deal with Todd's problems first then do the alignment. I respected their point of view and I was very sorry that I had to follow God's leading for me personally instead of taking their advice. It was not a comfortable decision.

Now let me address what was behind much of their disagreement with my apostolic protocol. They were concerned that if I appeared on the platform with GOD TV, many viewers would interpret it as my personal endorsement of everything that was going on in Lakeland I, and since they were so closely associated with me, they would be implicated as well. This was a legitimate concern, and one I seriously wrestled with as I made my decision. If I went to Lakeland and presided over the alignment, some might well take it as an endorsement. It was a risk, I knew. Let me say personally that all my life I have been a risk-taker instead of a play-it-safe person, and I have taken many hits for it. As an example going to the jungles of Bolivia as a career field missionary when I was 25 with my wife and a one-year-old baby girl was a serious risk. Both that daughter and another who was born in the jungle without medical attention came close to losing their lives during those five years. And we were criticized for our decision to take the risk by many, including parents!

Closer to the Lakeland I situation, I have a private list of no fewer than 18 high-profile Christian leaders starting from the 1970s until Bentley for whom I took risks. For each one of them I took serious criticisms and in some cases personal hits even much more serious than I have received in this current case because I endorsed or partnered with or provided alignment for them. Some were typified as "crazy!" However, I can pretty much discern winners, although not always. My track record for the 18 is 72% emerged as real winners (you would know most of them), 17% ended up losers (including Bentley), and 11% indecisive. I'm sorry for the losers, but they prove I am not perfect. The point I am making is that I am no stranger to taking risks and living with the fallout.

One fallout from Lakeland I is that several have resigned from ICA and other organizations that I lead because they no longer want to be identified with me. Others are still upset. Still, believe it or not, I think that everyone involved is still my friend. We just disagree.

I want it understood that I did not go to Lakeland on June 23 for Todd Bentley. I had never met him personally. I had no knowledge of and little interest in his ministry. I went because I received an apostolic plea to help bring order to the confusion and chaos that was sweeping through the body of Christ worldwide because of the television. I went strictly for the body of Christ at the invitation of the host pastor of the Outpouring I.

The final question is: Was it successful? Looking back, I praise God for using me and others to help bring order to confusion, which is one of the chief biblical tasks of an apostle. Stephen Strader, who has been keeping records, affirms that the evil that the prince of the power of the air had been subtly introducing into the Outpouring I started to be exposed and unraveled the day after the alignment, June 24! Spiritually, this is very understandable. Just about every leader I knew had discerned that Lakeland I was a mixture of the godly and the ungodly. We were praying in one accord that the evil would be separated from the good. My take is that God had decided to answer these prayers and in order to facilitate His process, He assigned me and the Revival Alliance leaders and others who were with us to align Todd Bentley apostolically for the first time in his life. When we did this publicly, spiritual transactions took place in the invisible world that would not allow the enemy to maintain the veil of secrecy he had carefully placed over the Outpouring. The evil was exposed, Revival Alliance had the authority to deal with it, and the net result is that order is replacing chaos in the body of Christ.

In my section above on "The Present" I gave you some details. Believe me, they are only the tip of the iceberg as I just learned from a new phone call even as I was writing this paper. The proper apostolic structure, happily, is in place at the time of crisis!

The Future

It is now important to recognize that from now on we have a different playing field. Two separate things are going on. (1) The Revival Alliance is dealing with Todd Bentley and the fallout from his sin that has been and continues to be exposed. (2) I have told you previously about a group of 11 apostles that I have formed into the Lakeland Outpouring Apostolic Team. We no longer need to deal with Lakeland I and Bentley as such. However, we have a list of 24 serious issues that have emerged from that unpleasant experience which need to be thoroughly discussed with the conclusions circulated in the body of Christ. If you have seen Dutch Sheets' recent "A Statement and Appeal Regarding Lakeland" you will get a glimpse of some of the things that we agree need to become standard operational beliefs and practices, particularly in our charismatically-inclined evangelical segment of the church.

It will take time, but our Apostolic Team will get to work on the 24 issues after some of this present dust settles, and we will be back to you!

Blessings,
Peter
