...WAS INDESCRIBABLE...LIKE OUR POWERFUL GOD! Hahaha i feel...i dont
know what i feel but ITS GOOD! All I know is God was there. I dont
intend on letting myself go back to how i was before the "conference"
(how bout the flood of fire from God for a different term? =] ).
At first during the worship services, as i usually was, i wasnt too
big on joining in the cheering and yelling. Since my voice can be
fairly loud i dont want to draw attention to myself (which i hate),
even though i knew no one cared. I knew by the end of the conference i
would be shouting and dancing (though it shouldnt have taken til
then), so i finally told myself "just do it" (not because its the nike
slogan). If someone really has something so say so be it. We are
usually more critical of ourselves than other people are. It started
with a "whoooo." but no sustain. finally i let it go out, and
eventually shouting til my throat started to hurt. I just felt obliged
to share that.
-idk what this could mean but while bonnie was talking i was looking
at my bible and then looked up and this blue spark seemed to fly
behind zack nelson in a flash. some of you might say it was angel or
something but i honestly dont know-
there's something else id like to share that challenged me just
yesterday. i was in jamie's class before church and he was asking
questions relating to loving God and having a relationship with him.
Since I knew most of the answers and had just been set on fire by God
i didnt want to keep quiet and let the fire go out. So i answered some
of the questions. Then one, an easy-sounding one, got me. "How do we
know we love God?" I said "by putting Him first in our lives." Then
jaime asked "How do we do that?" I honestly could not think of a heart
answer. I just sat quiet for ten seconds hoping he would ask someone
else or someone else would answer. Finally i gave the unoriginal
"church over party" type of thing. Here in America being a "Christian"
by what is sadly though of as "the usual Christian lifestyle,"
requires very little sacrifice to be a Christian. I no longer have the
mentality of a "usual Christian" (a term i want to see burnt in hell
because of what it has caused [or lack thereof]). I still have a long
way to go on living the "real Christian life" (the one like the
disciples). When Christianity was born, the disciples were the
Christians that spread it and its power (following the command written
in Acts 1:8). That IS how Christians are REQUIRED to live. Otherwise
how can we call ourselves Christians? That is the question that
deeply challenges me now even as a write this.
Radical today should be like walking up to the leader of China to
spread God to him, without the shadow of a doubt you will have any
trouble. Imagine how much power it would require to do that. HAHAHA
its nothing for God. Its easier for God to create a universe than for
a dead animal to stay still (even that being an understatement
hahaha). I wouldnt mind being that person.
Thank you for your patience and i hope my use of hell isnt
misinterpreted. Blessings to all,
Michael Williams
