[revival-fire] [POSSIBLE SPAM] Re:Responce to the church about Todd Bentley

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******

Hello Rich!

I am a first time contributer to Revival Fire.

I have felt that I should say something about the way the church at times, can be so unwilling to demonstratethat the love that Christ gave to us.For example in John's Gospel chapter 15:9 - 13 & 17 this portion of scripture sets in place
the way in which all of our responce to a fallen brother should take place. It starts from an understanding of the Fathers love for the Son.Then Jesus says that he loves us in the same way that the Father loves him.In verses 12 & 13 he says some things we should always remember.First he says for us to love one another, but he puts a particularly strong emphasis on the phrase,as I have loved you.In the next verse he tells us the practical outworking of what that means when he says, greater love has no one than this, than
to lay down one's life for his friends. Then to top everything off in verse 17 he takes away any possibility of options when he gives the command to love one another.

My concern is for those who seem to think that correction is something other than love taking the time to restore the fallen to their relationship with the Father. It isn't about I told you so or being harsh, and critical,it's about seeing a brother restored.

My prayer is that God would open the eyes of his bride to see how someof the carry on effects Him.Hedid say to us that by this all men will know that you are my disciples.By your love for one another.God help the church to become everything you long for her to be,and forgive us for all of our rash mistakes.I hope this helps some to see the error of our ways and learn to forgive and encourage one another.

In The Love of Christ
