I love the way the scriptures reveal so many things about Jesus. As His followers and Children of His Father we cannot help but want to gravitate toward His likeness. After all, He is His Father's Beloved Son. "This is My Beloved Son, in Whom I Am well pleased, listen to Him!" Yeah God!
Something about the prayer life of Jesus, His devotion to His Father and doing His Father's will on the earth. The compassion Jesus had for all people, especially those who had no authority over others and were being used and abused by others. Something about the uniquely surprising manifestation of kingdom authority displayed at any life-intersection of Jesus and another person(s). Exciting anticipation!
May we think like and become more and more like Jesus, that the budding of His compassionate intimacy and devotion to Pappa and His will burst forth on our branches today and everyday everywhere we go.
