re:[revival-fire] Who am I trying to please?

Christian, I really was blessed by your posting…the whole thing! Thanks for sharing. I felt the beginning of your post was also a testimony. It was great hearing about you just going downtown, hanging out with friends, making new ones etc. Then God giving you new opportunities for ministry. The best part was when you said that you found yourself being drawn to the homeless, outcasts and hurting people. You were learning what God’s heart is. That’s what He would be doing: going downtown and hanging out with hurting people.

 

It’s great that God is giving you unexpected opportunities like praying for the guy who hurt his leg at the concert. I know also that some people will be led to the Lord simply because you are downtown hanging out with friends, being friendly, being yourself. Some people will come to the Lord in time just because you are being friendly and after awhile they will see you are someone who can be trusted.

 

I remember Martin Scott saying one time that his favorite way to have church, was to go down to the local coffee shop, hang out there and talk to people and see what happened; what God did. You have met him so you know he really loves people and is very easy to talk to. You’ve been also reaching outside the church walls and being a blessing by being you, and carrying God with you!
