[revival-fire] P.S...my generation...

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******    

That email was specifically meant for the unsaved on the streets and/or those who are "saved" but still need to be Saved inside the church.  I just wanted to share it on revival fire for the sheer purpose of sharing, not for controversy or debate or anything of the like.  My heart absolutely breaks for my younger generation and I can't help but share their feeling when they purely want to "cut the crap".  We've been like that since early junior high.  Always finding out the "fakes" and avoiding those who are all "talk".  Lately I've been getting converted back to the world (a dangerous thing to do by the way) and I've been running the risk of union with Christ.  Since then I am seeing what's being hidden behind our high church walls.  We stand next to these people in line, drive behind them in traffic, give them our money at drive thrus, shake their hands at work and yet we never truly see them.  I'm beginning to truly see them and I'm beginning to see why Christ was a "man well acquainted with sorrow".  This is the world we are to save and we don't even know their names.  Is good stuff happening in these days?  Of course, by the magnificant and insane grace of God it is.  But this is nothing compared to how it will be when we actually start paying attention to Jesus.  Are we seeing fruit?  Every single day!  But true fruit is a heart changing on the inside, not a manifestation on the outside.  The ripest ultimate fruit is one becoming just like Jesus.  Cleaning the inside of the cup was always the main purpose, not the outside.  So please don't get me wrong.  I am not downcast or feeling especially depressed today, but I am feeling that "holy sorrow that draws to repentance" and I cannot smile and keep the show going when I know that people are getting run over by it.  I love people too much to regard the program.  I love Christ too much to serve the church.  Me and my generation need something more real than all that.  We need His love, all His love, and nothing but His love...   So help us God...
