Greeting,
This is my first posting.....
I am not a prophet but I am working with architects and engineers everyday.
Everyday I deals with building code (California Building Code) using data from USGS ( http://www.usgs.gov/ ).
Science can also predict what will happen and did happened regarding the earth / fault movement. The fact is every day the earthquake happen in San Francisco.(http://quake.usgs.gov/recenteqs/FaultMaps/San_Francisco.htm)
I don't know if there is connection between this geological trend and spiritual trend (I don't want to try to explain it)
I don't know too if God will judge people who lives above the fault just simply because they lived there (either homosexual or Spirit filled Christian). I don't know too if God so loves people living above the other part of earth ( like NY city where a lot of them worship money as their God ) so He never punished them with earthquake, simply because they live not above the rock ( Manhattan built above the massive rock).
When Tsunami wiped more than 200 thousand people in one day (Dec 2004), some Christians said it's a punishment for Muslims who killed Christian and burn thousand of churches in that country...the result ...some don't even care about people suffering during that time. But the other Christian cares and do everything they can to help and the result is churches planted in the area where never has openness to Gospel. Isn't that a revival we really discuss everyday here? God still in control even in the most disastrous part of the earth.
My point is in this age God never punish a city simply because some percentage of people are sinners. We can't find any city in this country with single type or sin and people like Sodom in the Old Testament anymore. There is always a God's church in a city!!
So what is our response to the prophecy from prophets or prediction from scientists (they said the same thing: there will be an earthquake in Bay Area) ?
1. Just don't buy property above the San Andrea fault (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Andreas_Fault)
2. State of California already changed the Building Code (http://www.dsa.dgs.ca.gov/Code/title24.htm) to anticipate that, so if you build a church building better we aware of that.
3. If we see a big social or moral declined in Bay Area, ask God to sent a revival (a Big one) and use our brothers and sisters who live there more.
4 Be more involve in next election to vote for Major who fear of God (not like now...he started gay right movement in the SF and spread to entire country) , also aware of election of city Board of Supervisor (http://www.sfgov.org/site/bdsupvrs_index.asp) and pray for them.
5. Finally if the earthquake happen let see it as a way of God to open heart of sinner in SF (who also redeemed and loved by Jesus on the cross) and not as a punishment.
