[revival-fire] Surrounded by Generals

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******    

SURROUNDED BY GENERALS When you are surrounded by Generals, who will fight? I find myself with so few on the field. Not comfortably perched on my horse. watching the battle from a distance, watching and analyzing the scales of worship. "Which way are things going?" "Kind of dry there," "No passion here, " "Fire there!" "We are losing" "We are winning," "Something is missing," "Needs more salt. " "Something seems just OFF?" "Can't quite put my finger on it, can you?" How about entering in beyond the place of comfort and "the norm"? When the focus is on the analysis, how will you see the King? It is not a matter of emotionalism, or fanaticism, or even reason. I dance alone, out of my comfort zone. I dance though I am too old I dance though I am told, "you are mature, you are grown, you are a general, stand off with the others; let the young ones do the fighting" But who will fight for the young? I dance, not because I am so marvelous, But because I am a fool With ALL my eggs in ONE basket. ALL my hope in Christ alone. I dance because the Holy Spirit inside of me WANTS to dance and I surrender ALL My pride, My "maturity" My self-preservation My social acceptance My fear of man's perception. To the best of my capacity, I give back to Jesus the passion He has shown to me. To become a mirror of HIS love and desire. To reflect a life that will last through eternity. To honor the Kingdom of God, and break down the enemy's gates. Set the captives free, set the captives free, set the captives free. It's a rescue mission, come and join me! I become foolish to the eyes of the world (even within the church). And may the generals shake, For wisdom says you must exercise to become strong. You MUST surrender to become like Christ. Abandon position and become a child Enter in to the Kingdom of God, He is waiting with arms open wide :) The church does not need glossy icons in high places, But Fathers and Mothers in the trenches. I have found that, if I stayed comfortable and "nice feeling" all through worship; Than I did NOT honor the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and Creator of the Universe in a manner appropriate to His position and to the Kingdom of which I belong. ~ CHER
