I almost never send out a group email to my personal list but I thought some of you might be interested in what God is doing in San Francisco. GOLDEN GATE OUTPOURING - FIRST COMES LOVE
Last night we celebrated our 16th consecutive night of outpouring meetings in the heart of San Francisco. Even though it was Independence Day, we decided to go for it anyway and despite the festivities of the day, over thirty mighty men and women showed up to express our DEPENDENCE on the Lord. We had an awesome time in the presence of God. We are meeting again TONIGHT at 7:00 pm for MORE, MORE, MORE.
AWESOME TESTIMONY
One amazing highlight was a testimony by a woman named Champagne, a cognitive psychologist, who had gone through several separate diagnoses of various cancers over the last decade and had endured 25 surgeries and many chemotherapy treatments. When she first visited our meeting a week ago, she was hopeless, in horrific pain and unable to walk without a walker. She was on many various medications including morphine for the pain. The initial prayer over her was not too encouraging, but as the ministry team continued to contend for healing, God began to touch her in a wonderful way. By the end of the evening, Champagne was over 75% pain free. She returned again for more a couple of days ago and responded to additional accurate words of knowledge about other symptoms that she was experiencing. After additional prayer, she reported that she was totally pain free and then after more prayer, she received the Holy Spirit and began to speak in tongues.
Last night she testified that she is off all pain medication and walking freely without her walker. She even had two prophetic pictures throughout the evening that God used to speak to the group. Praise God for all the amazing healings that have happened. God is on the MOVE!!!.
REVIVAL IS REVIVAL
As we continue to press into Jesus for greater revival, it's helpful to continue to define our terms. In the last blast, I likened this outpouring in its current stage, to standing in a few inches of ocean water at low tide, knowing that if you were standing in the same spot six hours later, the water would be over your head. THE OCEAN IS THE OCEAN WHETHER IT IS MEASURED IN INCHES OR FEET. In the same way, REVIVAL IS REVIVAL whether it is in its infant stages or in full-blown manifestation. We are pressing in to the full measure of revival for our region including the manifest presence of God, healings, miracles, signs and wonders, deep conviction and most of all SALVATIONS!!! We are currently experiencing trickles of all these things and more. "The Revival Tide is Turning" and it's getting deeper and deeper. That's why it's imperative that we continue gathering together from dozen's of churches around the region until we achieve the full depth of blessing that God intends to bring to us.
FIRST COMES LOVE…Isaiah 62
Yet, there are sequence and timing issues that pertain to revival. We are all longing to see the end result of revival: thousands coming to Jesus and transformation coming to our region. GIVE US THE NEW BABIES, LORD!
At the same time, we recognize that just as babies born in a home without love are hindered in their development, people that are born again into a LOVELESS FAITH have difficulty ever achieving maturity.
Also, those who are born into a home without the secure covenant of marriage, grow up with insecurities and problems and in much the same way, those who are "born again" in a compromised "churchianity" without covenantal clarity also suffer. Jesus told the Pharisees that they search far and wide to create one disciple only to make them twice the child of hell that they are.
The right order of things in REVIVAL can be found in a children's nursery rhyme: FIRST COMES LOVE, THEN COMES MARRIAGE, THEN COMES THE BABIES IN THE BABY CARRIAGE.
So, step one in any outpouring or revival is to RETURN TO OUR FIRST LOVE. Some, who have not understood this priority, have left our meetings a little bored. They wanted to see the babies but had no patience for conception and gestation. Others, who are hungry and desperate in their hearts have been able to press through the crowds of thoughts and lay hold of Jesus and find His love melting through the fallow ground of the religious duty of a loveless faith and bringing us back to our first love.
Last night, as we read through Isaiah 62 the Lord began to speak not only of renewed love but also of renewed covenant with Jesus for our land. I encourage you to join with us as Jesus continues to lead us from glory to glory and from love, to marriage, and ultimately, to babies in the baby carriage.
