stops THIS Mon.-Oct. 6th about noon. Wesley Campbell, a great
spiritual leader in CAN, just shared this in Redding at Bill
Johnson's church. His wife, Stacey, will be with a revival type team
in San Francisco Oct. 16-18th. I'll forward info if requested.

OR scroll down on RIGHT to picture of Sermon of the week (SOW) w/

Dear Eric,

I am sending an extra e-mail this week to remind you to pass the word about the upcoming Outpouring meetings this Thursday and Friday October 9th and 10th at John Ascuaga's Nugget when you go to church this Sunday morning!

Also, I want you to get a copy of today's [Saturday October 4th] Reno Gazette Journal and read the article in the Neighborhood section about the Outpouring services.  In fact, why not bring a copy to your church and let people know that they need to come!

We had a number of first time salvations at the last Outpouring because one man brought a number of people who were ready to meet Jesus.  People were healed at the last Outpouring because someone brought people who needed healing.  Will you be the next person to bring that person that finds Jesus or get's a miraculous healing?  If not you who?

Would you take a couple of minutes and hit the forward to a friend button below and pray and ask God who you should forward this e-mail to.  Be a part of someone's miracle.  They will never forget the kindness you did for them.  Pick up the phone and invite that special person who needs a miracle now.

Cancer Gone!

By Lula Adams

I have a long time friend, Faunie Jones,
[Pictured above]
who came to the Outpouring for the first time on the 19th of September. A biopsy report indicated that she had cancer cells on her nose and she was scheduled for surgery. I prayed for her that her nose would be healed of all cancer at the Outpouring. She called me after her surgery appointment and told me that I was the first one she called to give me the report. There was no surgery because the doctor did not see any cancer! She is healed!

Georgian & Winnie Banov, Kris Vallotton, Stacey Campbell and more:  "GLORY REIGN" Prophetic Impartation/Emerging Apostolic Generation Conference
Oct 16-18, 2008; San Francisco, CA
(Please forward to your Friends)
Co-sponsored by Blazing Fire Church, Promised Land Fellowship, and Voice of Pentecost

Purpose

The Spirit is moving across the San Francisco Bay Area, and it is on the brink of revival and the greatest harvest of souls ever.
Several years ago, the Lord visited renowned prophet, Bob Jones, and showed him that there is actually a Heavenly power switch, and once that switch is turned 'on' it will launch the greatest move of God in North America that we have ever seen. The Lord also told Bob that He would not flip that switch until the Body of Christ is properly grounded.
For the last several decades, seasoned apostles Georgian and Winnie Banov and Kris Vallotton have been busy 'grounding' the Church on the firm foundation of Christ and His finished works. Stacey Campbell has seen a generation that is coming, and has prophesied that the Lord would pour His Spirit out in a distinct way for national transformation.
GLORY REIGN is not just a conference, it is a prophetic act to open up the West Coast gates for the King of Glory to establish the rule of His Kingdom! In dreams and visions, we have seen Tsunami waves of Grace headed straight for the Bay Area -- This is a trumpet sound for the emerging apostolic generation, called to reign in life with great power and great grace. Come for a fresh impartation and receive supernatural soul-winning equipment needed for the last days harvest and revival.

And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all. -- Acts 4:33

For if by the one man's offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. --Romans 5:17

Speakers

"Joy Apostles" Georgian and Winnie Banov are a radical power team. Their exuberant childlike praise and deep intimate worship usher in an Open Heaven atmosphere through which they deliver life-changing revelations and prophetic insights from the Word of God. Boldly declaring the finished work of Calvary they minister freedom, joy, supernatural healing and wholeness by exerting the divine labor: Christ, the hope of glory, be fully formed in you! They also hold a special anointing for the release of creative miracles including supernatural blessings for finances, land and houses.
The Banovs travel extensively, holding apostolic renewal meetings and conferences worldwide. Charged with a heart of compassion for the poorest of the poor, they also host lavish evangelistic feeding crusades throughout the third world. Although the sounds, flavors and spices of these "Kingdom celebration feasts" vary from nation to nation, they find the river of God's extravagant love is always the same -- passionate, all consuming, and irresistible.

In 1997, Kris Vallotton and his wife Kathy moved to Redding to join Bill Johnson's apostolic team and to found and direct the Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry. From its meager beginning with just thirty-seven students, the school has grown to more than six hundred full-time students in Redding, alone. Kris, Kathy, and the team have also planted several supernatural schools in other nations. In addition to overseeing the school, Kris serves as the Senior Associate Leader at Bethel Church. He has authored numerous books including his best-selling, "The Supernatural Ways of Royalty," as well as "Basic Training for the Prophetic Ministry," "Developing a Supernatural Lifestyle, and Purity." He also heads the annual School of the Prophets.
With a passion to see revival spread to every nation and all realms of society, Kris and Kathy speak in conferences and churches around the U.S. and abroad. Kris is also a part of the Heroes of the Nation leadership team, which has a children's village in Kenya, Africa. The village has more than 350 children living there, all of whom have lost both parents to AIDS. Each child learns a vocation and has a heart to see revival come to every segment of their country.

Kris and Kathy continue to pastor, mentor and father revivalists and prophetic teams with the aim of changing nations. By their lives, they model a devoted marriage and an open book life poured out for the Lord, His Church and the world.

Stacey Campbell speaks with a prophetic voice to this generation and has a passion to teach Believers to know how to hear the voice of God through proper teaching and strong values. She is the founder and facilitator of the Canadian Prophetic Council, and serves as an honorary member of the Apostolic Council of Prophetic Elders, presided over by Dr. C. Peter Wagner and Cindy Jacobs. Stacey has been ordained by Dr. Bill Hamon and is on the apostolic team of Harvest International Ministries (H.I.M.) under Ché Ahn.
Stacey and her husband, Wesley, are the founders of New Life Church and Praying The Bible International. They are producers of the Praying the Bible CDs and co-authors of the Praying the Bible books. As well as being involved in the current prayer movement, they have also founded "Be A Hero" to promote the cause of social justice worldwide. Stacey and Wesley work in coalition with Hope for the Nations and other mercy organizations focused on children at risk. As conference speakers, they have ministered in over 45 nations. The Campbells live with their five children in Kelowna, B.C., Canada.

[revival-fire] Christian Fashion

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******
Hi All,

My name is Sherri Tejamo and I go to Word of Life Christian Center in Davis, CA. I recently received my degree in Fashion Design and am passionate about all aspects of it.  Having spent some time interning at varous places, I strongly see the need to connect with other believers in this area.

Why is this important? For some reason, fashion both been driven by and influenced by different philosophies, religions, art movements, culture, music, etc. It also is an area that badly needs to be transformed and reclaimed by the church. If you or anybody that you know is interested in fashion design at any level-- as a hobby or as a strong passion-- please feel free to contact me for fellowship, prayer, brainstorming, encouragement etc.

Thank you,

Sherri Tejamo

[revival-fire] From Revival Fire Oversight

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******

Dear Friends,

We have had many new members become a part of Revival Fire over the past few weeks, so we wanted to get out our basic guidelines for using this email group.  First off, if you would like to make a new post, send it to revival-fire@hub.xc.org and it will go out to the over 800 folks that use Revival Fire.  If you have any questions about Revival Fire, you can send them to me at eric@riverlife.net

NOTE:  We do not see the posts before they are sent out.  Sometimes, people will submit things that do not fall within the guidelines for Revival Fire posts.  The Revival Fire email conference is here for four main reasons…

1)     Posting testimonies about the power of God

This is one of the best things about Revival Fire – testimonies are fuel for revival.  We NEED to hear your testimonies.  Share about power encounters, marketplace ministry breakthroughs, financial provision, fire of God services…you get the idea.  You just need to get the testimonies out!

2)     Promoting upcoming events

If you have an event that you need to get promoted, get it posted here.  We ask that you submit the same event ONCE a week.  You can insert graphics into your email – just know that a few subscribers will not be able to download those images.  We also ask that the events are “revival-related” – healing conferences, miracles services, training sessions, etc…

3)     Sharing insights relating to revival.

If God has been speaking to you about powerful truths, use Revival Fire to blog what God is saying.  Many people share spiritual insights, others submit prophetic words.  NOTE:  This is not a Prophetic Word conference only – if you would like to submit a prophetic word, make sure you list what fellowship you are part of (for accountability purposes).

4)  Building on previous submissions to Revival Fire

If something is shared that resonates in you and you want to share your thoughts, do it – when discussion is going, this helps build the strength of Revival Fire (NOTE:  if you disagree, guard against character attacks or name calling – both of which has occurred in the past)

WHAT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE ON REVIVAL FIRE

(Members who do the following can be immediately removed)

1)  Asking for donations for a ministry or missions project

2)  Blasting previous posts to the entire conference; if you have something you need to say to the person writing the post, you can hit reply and their email address will appear in the TO column.  It will go to only that person, not the entire conference.

3)  Numerous postings in a day

NOTE:  If you want to promote an event and share a testimony on the same day, that is fine.  You do not need to post 3 testimonies a day, plus comment to the group about every other posting.  Also, remember to post your upcoming event only once a week on Revival Fire.

4)  Revival Fire is not a Prophetic Word submission site – there always needs to be accountability with prophecy.  With Revival Fire, we do not see the postings before they go up – we believe that people will be mature and responsible with their posts.  Because of the setup of Revival Fire, it is not conducive to post prophetic words as we at RF do not personally know everyone affiliated with this list.

PLEASE REMEMBER THESE GUIDELINES - IF YOU HAVE A QUESTION in the future about what is acceptable or not on Revival Fire, please send an email to eric@riverlife.net.  Thank you for your involvement,

Rich Oliver & Eric Leach

[revival-fire] Wow!

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******
Tuesday at the River City School of Supernatural Ministry, Brandon sent out the students to go out and pray to see who God wanted us to reach out to.  Danna, Diane and myself ended up going to MacDonalds on Sunrise and Auburn.  We went through the drive through and prayed for the drive through attendant. (A couple of weeks ealier Jesus used me to  prophesy over the same girl who was working in the window, she cried and ended up sharing Jesus with a homeless lady sitting outside of the building).  After that we pulled around and parked the car.  The presence of God showed up in Diane's car and we got out and stormed around the building of Mac Donalds laying hands on everything that was bolted down and attached to the property. Voice box reciever, walls, tables and so on.  At one point it was hillarous because when I looked inside, while we were walking around the building declaring a bondage free and drug free zone, people were watching us from the inside with the funniest looks on their faces!  We prophesied over and through that place decreeing the promises of God and had the best time!  We walked around the building seven times and declared the walls to COME DOWN in JESUS NAME!  I was hearing the scripture about God using the foolish things of the world to confound the wise while we were skippin around and around lookin' pretty funny I imagine.  Hummmmmmmmmmmmm...I wonder what's going on over there right now....RCSSM goofy student- Melinda Gatter lovin' the dollar menu.

[revival-fire] Let my people go or ... else!

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******

I was writing some notes for an upcoming seminar and thinking of some of the posts in Revival Fire all of which led me to think and write something that is really bugging me.

One big revival, although we do not call exactly a revival happened when Moses went back to Egypt and delivered the people of Israel from the grip of Pharaoh. Why revival? Because the people albeit the people of God they were quite dead, slaves, otherwise lost forever, but a sudden intervention of Jehovah brought them all back to life, back to a desire to worship God, back to a desire mingled with real possibility of being free.

God move supernaturally in all kinds of manifestations. God set them free, brought them out of Egypt, gave them freedom to worship, and freedom to be the people of God in all the meaning of the words. How did that happen?

We read that God heard the cry of the people; we could say that in spite of maybe apathy there were still people who in cries or yearnings prayed to God for “revival” of their nation and a turn of their fate. God had also a Moses who confronted Pharaoh with a shout rooted in the authority of God’s call on his life: “let my people go”.

I have two questions. Number one: How many people are praying for revival? Probably a lot. Number two: How many Moses do we have who dare confronting the enemy with a cry of “let my people go”? Not sure about this one.

Many of us have been praying for power. It is not more power that we need. God is our God, the power is on our side. We need authority to use that power. The devil has a lot of power, but he does not have the authority to use it unless we let him. Knowing Jesus, developing an intimate relationship with Him and making sure we move on what he says, there is the source of authority. However, all the power and the authority to use the power mean nothing if we do not really go about using it!

It is about time that we realize who we are, what we have in Him, and that we start going about doing good, just like Jesus; and what is more good than setting people free from bondages of ages innumerable? What we need is you and me standing to the face of Satan and scream in his ugly face: “let my people go” but not a feeble “let my people go . . . pleeeeeaaaseee?” What Satan needs to hear is a shout that blows out his face: ‘LET MY PEOPLE GO, OR ELSE . . .IN THE NAME OF JESUS”

[revival-fire] Isaiah 58 fast

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******

Lynn you are right on about our position in the Lord and fasting.

When Lou Engle put forth the call to a forty day fast for America and the elections I was seeking the Lord on what I could give up.  I asked What can I give and how much can I give to You Lord?  What does it mean to love the Lord with all your heart, soul mind and strength? What am I feeding my heart, soul mind and strength right now that I can give up (fast) and feast instead on the abundance of Him?

The Lord gave me a dream for someone else, and in the dream I was to look in the book of Isaiah for the word.  I found it in Isaiah 58:11-12.  The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; your shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. Those from among you shall build the old waste places; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, and Restorer of the Streets to Dwell in.

Then I asked myself what must be done for these things to happen?  Isaiah 58:6-7 states the kind of fast that pleases the Lord.

Is this not the fast that I have chosen: To loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke? Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, and that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; When you see the naked, that you cover him?

Beloved Ones, let us come quickly to our Glorious Father and bow our hearts in worship.  Oh, He is so worthy!  Let us stop the pointing of the finger (of blame) at one another, and point instead to Him who sits on the throne forever and join heaven and say Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing!

Completely Undone,

Martha

Failure That Leads to Godliness
1 Samuel 22:2
All those who were in distress or in debt or discontented gathered around him, and he became their leader....
God uses broken things to accomplish His greatest work. When David was anointed to be the next king, he was just a boy, the youngest among all his brothers. Little did he know that the next several years would be years of fleeing from Saul whose successes turned into obsessions as a leader who had fallen from God's anointing. Perhaps David thought, Why am I living a life as a fugitive? I am the next king of Israel. Yet, his life was filled with adversity after adversity before he ever fulfilled the ultimate calling God had for him. Others began to hear of David's successes and identify with his plight. But, it wasn't the successful and polished who came to join him. It was "those who were in distress or in debt or discontented" who would be part of his army-and an army it was! His army would become known throughout the world as the greatest ever assembled, not because of their skill, but because of the God behind the army. God turned David's men into "mighty men of valor" (see 1 Chron. 11:10).
God often uses failure to make us useful. When Jesus called the disciples, He did not go out and find the most qualified and successful people. He found the most willing, and He found them in the marketplace. He found a fisherman, a tax collector, a farmer, and a doctor.
The Hebrews knew that failure was a part of maturing in God. The Greeks used failure as a reason for disqualification. Sadly, in the Church, we often treat one another in this way. This is not God's way. We need to understand that failing does not make us failures. It makes us experienced. It makes us more prepared to be useful in God's Kingdom-if we have learned from it. And that is the most important ingredient for what God wants in His children.

Secrets of the Kingdom Economy
Secrets of the Kingdom Economy
You and I are living in the days of the Kingdom that Jesus spoke about when he taught us to pray by saying "Thy Kingdom come! Thy will be done!" The Kingdom is here. When we function by the principles of this Kingdom in our day to day lives, we will function on a higher level of anointing and productivity. Living in this Kingdom means living by the principles of the Kingdom Economy. In this book, discover secrets that will cause you to flourish in this Kingdom Economy. These secrets will move you from the ordinary to the extraordinary. Also available as an eBook or as an audio book.

[revival-fire] a Proposition 8 event for those who are interested

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******
There's an event going on in downtown Sacramento this Friday (October 3) starting at 6:00. It's a town hall type of meeting and people will have the opportunity to pose questions to the Sacramento mayoral candidates (Kevin Johnson, Heather Fargo, and possibly others). It's a chance to be in support of Proposition 8 as well--there will be others there to voice their opposition to Proposition 8. I'll exact address details as soon as I get them.

Thanks
Naomi A.B. Ennis

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******

Hello All Of You Lovely People Of God,
The Lord has been speaking to me in this last week of a very powerful thing. Effective Positioning. As I was in the Spirit I was shown that many people praying are so needed. But they must be people who are willing to position themselves in might and purity and humility before our Father. I was shown that so much of what is petitioned is done in meaningless babble because hearts are not right before the Throne Of Grace. The Lord has called me on a forty day negativity fast, and forty days of communion. I am told that we are truly being called and led into a new chapter of Grace, which will afford visitations of His presence of the like we have not experienced. But this will demand a positioning of humility before our Lord that casts all our own perceptions and understandings aside. We must be ready to love for love's sake and be compassionate to the unlovely. We must be people who press into our Jesus like never before. For through pressing into Him, He can set us free to be people who speak with authority and power. And we must not be pleasers of men, but pleasers of the One who is Altogether Lovely. For it is Him who will fight for us and open gates, and open heavens, and soften men's hearts to salvation. We must not battle, but worship and praise, so that the Heavens will do the bidding of Jesus Christ our Lord. And we must not be worried of those whose hearts are hard towards us, but bless them and pray for them, and let Jesus do His magic in their hearts, like only He can do. And keep moving forward into deeper relationship with Jesus. If we will go deeper with hearts circumcised with reverence and hunger for more of Him, we will see victory in all that He appoints us to do. Whew www, Lord let it be unto me as Your Spirit has spoken through me. Oh I am experiencing things with Jesus that I could not have believed. And the deeper my heart is embedded with His, the more effective my prayers and worship are. I am praying for us all and watching with excitement for His answers.
For truly He loves us, and truly He loves the prayers of the righteous. And without doubt He will hold us up with His mighty right hand.
And our Lord will always inhabit the praises of His people.
Soak In Your Saviors Arms!
I LOVE YOU ALL WITH ALL MY HEART,
Lynn Salmoria

Re: [revival-fire] Prophecy: Unction Only or At Will?

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******

You're right that if YOU have a question, others do as well who are reluctant to ask (for whatever reasons!)

There's a difference (a serious difference) between knowing what the Bible teaches and what experience teaches. Experience is vital, but then, too, so is noting what the Bible does or does not teach.

UNCTION

The idea of a person prophesying under an "unction" from the Holy Spirit is not taught in the Bible. Not that I see anything wrong with it, but it's just not "Bible". John's the only one who used the word, "unction": in Greek it's "chrisma" and it's used only three times in the NT: 1Jn 2.20 & 27, once translated "unction" (AV) and twice "anointing" (AV).

1Jn 2:20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.
1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

In none of the three uses does John refer to "operating prophetically" in ministry to others "under an unction". The "unction" refers to a singularly private function of the Holy Spirit in every Believer's life in which God leads each Believer away from spiritually, seducing teachings (v. 26).

In a strictly biblical sense, one could rightly say, "I'm refusing to follow the teaching of Rev. So-and-so because the unction of the Holy Spirit warns me to stay away."

If a person says, "I feel an unction form the Holy Spirit to prophesy this Word to you", there's no real problem with it. It's just a non-biblical usage of the word and it's religious jargon that'll score points in some, small circles today but not in others.

Some people may want to point to 1Pet 4.8ff for an example of "speaking under the unction", but it's a imperfect fit.

1Pet 4.8ff Above all things have fervent love for one another, for "love will cover a multitude of sins." Be hospitable to one another without grumbling. As each one has received a gift [charisma], minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever.

"Oracle" [logion] is just another form of the Greek word, logos, an is used 4 times in the NT. It simply means a "brief utterance from God" (Strong's.)

Notice (because this verse is so cool) that all spiritual gifts  are herein summed up into two categories: The gifts that result in speaking and the gifts that result in action (or service!) And it doesn't say that for some one to give a prophetic Word, they have to have, feel or carry an "unction". Nothing like that is in these verses.

But what it does imply is even more exacting -- that everything one says in building others up in the Lord needs to be done as God speaks. To me, this is more in line with Paul's saying that he "prays without ceasing" -- that every action we do be done in Love and every word we speak to one another be delivered as though spoken from the Mouth of God. (Hmmm... Who said we'd be eventually judged for every idle word we speak? Every "non-working word" we utter?) Let's open our mouths every-time, speaking the things God gives to us to speak.

(Wow! What a world that would be...)

PROPHECY BY CHOICE

That's an interesting question -- about how some seem "to jsut flow in prophecy at any time or place". It brings to my mind 1Cor 14.1: "Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy."

It's not as if that verse says specifically that we can "prophecy at will" (or, as you said, "flow in prophecy at any time and place".) But when I look at the verbs used ("pursue" and "desire"), they suggest to me that there is clear, personal will involved with both the exercise of love and prophecy.

"Pursue" (Greek, dioko: a prolonged and causative form of the verb "to run swiftly to catch a person or thing", "to seek eagerly and endeavor to acquire" -- Strongs.)

"Desire" (Greek zeloo: "to boil" with zeal, "to strive after", "to exert one's self" for someone or something so that it might not be lost.)

Someone one could object and say, "Well, the Gift or prophecy mentioned in 1Cor 14 isn't the Gift of "Prophecy" used in "personal, prophetic ministry"... and all I could say is -- where does the Bible say they're substantially different? That's pentecostal tradition, not clear Scripture.

No -- the clear and simple instruction here in 14.1 is that every person who is supposed to zealously pursue Love, is supposed to zealously pursue building up one another -- especially through prophecy. There's no basis for saying it's a "gift" that only a few people exercise, and no basis for saying one has to "wait" for some sort of "unction" to come. It's a ministry/service to one another that's as available as hounds zealously chasing a fox -- if you want it, it's right there.

NOW, LAST -- A PERSONAL EXAMPLE

A couple of years ago, Kim and Mary Andersson took my wife (Shell) and I on a whirlwind ministry trip through Denmark and Norway. In 20 days we ministered to 20 groups of people -- and Mary, Shell and I ministered in personal prophecy to people in every meeting. There were a number of people excited and delighted about the accuracy of these prophetic words -- words which lifted and encouraged, excited, convicted and stirred them up -- all through a translator!

It worked in a really simple fashion. The three of us would get up in front of people we couldn't understand and had never met, look at each other and ask, "Who wants to go first?" Then, one of us would start, and we spoke as God's oracles. There I learned one of the most fantastic lessons I've ever learned about God -- the Anointing and Presence of His Spirit is the same, everywhere in the world. Might sound simple, but then, so am I most of the time.

Hope this helps.

Bless you!

Emil & Shell

A quick question on prophecy, which I am finally beginning to see in spurts. Feel free to reply privately, but this might be a great discussion. As a teacher, I've learned that most questions are at least being thought of by more than just the person who asks (and as a pastor, I know people love questions and answer type formats).

I hear a lot of conflicting teaching on whether we can only prophesy when there is a specific unction or whether one can prophesy by choice (by faith).

I am asking becasue I have seen people (Dr. Lane Lowder at CPT for one-who I just love and respect) who seems to jsut flow in prophecy at any time or place, but then there are those wh oteach that you get into error if there is not an "unction" to prophesy. Thoughts?
