[revival-fire] Rest In The Middle Of The Battle

As we enter into another holiday season we will hopefully find ourselves spending more time with our families enjoying the ones that we love the most. Hopefully this time of year will provide a respite from the fast paced year full of economic uncertainty and whirlwind election season. It is sure to be a restful season, that is, if we purposefully decide that no matter what is going on around us, we will enjoy the time that we have during this most wonderful part of our year. If we so choose, it is in our power to enter into a great time of rest.

 

What a contrast to the last couple month as we have united with the Body of Christ for a season of extreme prayer, fasting, and pushing on the heart of Heaven for the fate of our nation . It has truly been a season of warfare. There have been some amazing "suddenlies" as well as some challenges that have surfaced due to our corporate desire to press, in the areas of consecration, and intercession. Its has been a rich season where the Kingdom of Heaven has greatly advanced. However, we must not grow complacent now in this time of rest that we  are entering. We must learn what it means to truly rest in times of battle. It is true that the schemes of the enemy and the assault that he has planned for you and yours will not stop simply because you are no longer part of a corporate prayer movement. He will still be roaming and roaring and his desire is to steal every bit of your rest. He will probably use the usual avenues such as low resources and the extra stress, that the holiday rush tends to supply. However, It will be up to you to carry a spirit of peace during this season. 

 

It will be up to you to choose to look into the eyes of your Father on a constant basis during this time to receive the spirits He is handing out which are power, love and a sound mind. He has prepared a table before you in the presence of your enemies. He has provided you with everything you need for every season of your soul. If you can see the enemy, I would encourage you that the table of the Lord is closer. 

 

We speak a great deal of the "third heaven", "living in third heaven", "warring from third heaven". What does it mean? I believe that this references the ascension of the hill of the Lord. The only way to ascend the hill of the Lord is to have clean hands and a pure heart before Him. This does not mean that we strive to scrub the dirt off of our hands. We need to come to rest with the fact that the only way to be cleansed, refreshed and renewed is by simply being in His presence. We have no capacity in our fleshly framework to achieve the kind of holiness that could bridge the gap between our hearts and the Father. That work had to be done by Jesus. Now, it is our job to accept the sacrifice He made, and begin to access the benefits of that sacrifice, the most valuable benefit, being the ability to gaze into his eyes without shame. As we gaze into His eyes we see the reflection of what He sees, which shows us glimpses of how He sees. This access to the mind of Christ is what affords us the ability to change into a new form of glory. This change is a sort of cleansing. We are moving slowly into a greater likeness of Christ (our hands and heart are being cleansed, and purified). His glory, or His presence will be the substance that provides the by-product of peace. Peace is a one of the national recourses of Heaven, along with righteousness and joy. So, the key to finding rest, this holiday season to is to make sure that we do not neglect  or time in the only restful place we know, the arms of our maker. As we live this Kingdom reality in our streets, schools, PTA meetings and boardrooms. We bring a reality that those who do not have a connection to the Father are longing for. Walking in this kind of Kingdom reality is the thing that literally paves the way for us to be that difference for the ones we are battling in intercession for. You see we can truly rest our way through the middle of every battle.

[revival-fire] What I saw...

Just a quick note to express what I saw at the Harvest Fair last night at Family Christian Center in Orangevale.  I am a part-time student at FCC and walked in to drop of some more props for the Harvest Fair home-work assignment.  The moment I walked in Club Retro I stopped and almost lost my bearings.  As I looked arond the hallways and room I saw in my heart the words "I love you this much Lord, I have done my best with what You have given me to the best of my abilites...this is for You Jesus."  Then I saw in my heart the TEAMWORK of all the students.  I saw them in unity with Jesus and between themselves.  I almost started to cry.  I was overwhelmed with God's love for the students and leaders for working sooooooooooooooooooo hard to put this Harvest Fair together. I woke up this morning with my heart burning with love.  I felt God's love so strongly for FCC and their unity, obedience and effort.  The different, authentic, creative expressions of reaching out to the community blew me away.  I love RCSSM, the students and teachers and I will NEVER FORGET this expierence.  I also feel a strong impression in my heart of Jesus whispering to you all "I am so proud of you, I love you and believe in you!"      God bless EVERYSINGLE ONE OF YOU! I just want to give an up-date on what it's been like for me in my first year  in the School of Ministry at F.C.C.

From the very first day, I felt the Lord has had a "bead" on me (my issues). I know this is true of everyone in class, I'm just sharing some of mine.

Below is what I wrote after the first few days in school:

 

Boy! I had the worse dream of "Tom" (my ex) this morning. I didn't even want to get up it was so depressing!!!!  Then I get to school and we start on "inner healing"! ha! Ka-boom....The Lord's saying, "It's now time to heal Danna of her divorce". Sharon P., (an intercessor of mine in Reno, NV),  was right all this time telling me, "Danna, you haven't even had time to get healed from your divorce, let alone your Dad killing himself", and I'd say, "Yes I have, I've released and forgiven, etc. Well Danna, think again. I felt like he left me all over again this morning. Dread, abandonment, rejection, ALL hit me like a ton of bricks! Thank you Jesus for your perfect timing.

 

Then the "Tiger" anointing was re-introduced in my life on how to "react" during "process" times in my life, and how that was needed! Thanks Steve and Wendy Backlund. I actually passed this test in "one" stressful situation! Thank you Jesus! I just jumped up and down laughing out loud when everything was going downhill big-time. And it worked!

 

Next the Dew's came and gave me much needed strategy on how to minister deliverance in "trauma". I thought I had covered all my bases on this until they spoke on: Renouncing the "binding" with the spirit of trauma when a person doesn't get healed after a lot of prayer, and how the Lord showed them to ask the person, "what was going on in your life when this illness happened? " Well, I'm using these nuggets to free my Mother from the trauma of my Dad shooting himself.

 

Then Dan McCullan came to our school and brought great understanding and truth on living on the "victory" side of the "salvation fence," and how too many Christians live without that understanding, and keep going back and forth, sin, repent, sin, repent, ( I call it, riding the "grace wave")! Step over where truth is folks, "It is Finished!" I have to get this DVD and pass it on!

 

After the Lord "told" me to go to this school, at this time, I told Him I wanted to lay "everything I've ever been taught" down and start over. Oh, there's plenty of good truth I've learned in the past, and they are stepping stones to where He's taking me now, I just want any and all "strongholds" or "golden calves" gone in me!  So far in this school, It's been like my name has been on every subject matter, you know? I know of course everyone else is getting the same thing, but WOW! I love "direct hits" from the Lord like this! So, I'm starting my school journal, so as not to miss a beat as we journey along.

 

One final note, as I finish the "Wild Wild West" fall festival this weekend, I let Eric Leach know I may not show up for most of November due to a very, very stressful situation I'm going through as well as finishing a class in my computer school I've been attending. I will be there as often as I can though, and I will complete this school! I thank all my teachers, leaders, for there excellence in imparting to all of their students, accountability, sound Biblical teaching, taking us out of our comfort zones, and pulling our gifts and callings out of each of us to reach a lost a dying world!  Many people have asked what Church I attend, at stores, school, everywhere! I tell you, they're jumping in the boats you guys! The four walls are down, I get excited everytime I go out now just to meet up with my divine appointment. For those of you who remember my posting a while back, my rock and roll hippie brother that gave his life to the Lord called me to ask where our church is, and Bethel, and could we please go together sometime soon. He's off drugs, and watching Chrisian programs down in L.A.  Yeah God!

 

I Sooooooooooooooooooo encourage anyone considering going to F.C.C.'s School of Ministry...I finally know I'm in His "perfect" will.....dead center! (I like the "dead" part) ha!  See you all today!

Dear friends,

 

I want to add my agreement to the fantastic word from Danny Steyne. I think his wisdom and insight are very appropriate and necessary at this time.

 

I agree with him and say that Panic and Fear, much of which the church in the USA is communicating at this moment is not a part of God's Agenda, I agree that who ever is elected will be a Cyrus, and I would add that with peace and grace I encourage you to vote... 

 

I think that as we look in from the outside, He in Asia and myself here in Greece, we see from a different perspective. There is nothing to fear the hand of God is at work. I was reading on Thursday about Cyrus being God's man for the job and I am confident that the next president will be a Cyrus who work under the hand of God and cause the people of God to arise.

 

A new type of Church is emerging full of the power fo God, not just signs and wonders but the power and integrity to bring transformation, therefore we cannot allow the enemy to fill us with fear and anxiety but see this as a moment of  destiny.

 

God is in control!

[revival-fire] The Next President

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******    

Hi Revival list... am in Taiwan hearing the "words" that are flying around. The panic that is never to be a part of our Kingdom.... the fear that seems to motivate us as believers when really love is a far more effective means of touching the world! Several years ago I was in San Francisco one early Sunday morning before I was to speak there. I had a few MOWTeam from the Sacramento area with me. As we walked into a Coffee bar to get our wake-up coffee ... another wake-up was looming by the Spirit of God. It was obvious that the "lifestyles" of ALL in that cafe were not what we as believers would call moral or righteous... I felt like Lot must have felt day after day. Many of you live in that culture... hopefully allowing your light to shine without it diminishing by the darkness that you live among. One of the young team asked me, "Are you getting any words on anyone?" I said "yes." He continued to "Are you going to give them?" I said, "no." He said "why?" I told him I would tell him later. He proceeded to tell me he had a word on one of the patrons and asked if it would be okay if he gave it. I told him to do what was in his heart. The rejection from the patron was profound as he realized this "Christian" was coming into his domain... and the conversation ended abruptly. After we left, he asked me, "if you had words, why didn't you give them?" I responded... because they "didn't need words... they need love!" 

I have witnessed so much demonstration among believers... but I can't find it in the Bible. I see so much panic... but it's not to be a part of our lives. I see a church in the first century living under a Nero encouraged to be a light and to share the greatest mission, the greatest message, the more powerful means of winning this world is not going to be through elections, but through Him and His awesome love!

A year ago, early December 2007, many of the candidates who ran for the presidency were still in the running. I was traveling to Idaho carrying a message that the new government of God on the earth, the 12.... was going to be "family" ... it was going to be His Family that would eclipse the governments of this world. That the church would rise as THE ANSWER for the world... not following the worlds.... or believing that the governments of the world, or the types of governments in the world, were the answer. Righteousness is to be found in the saints. The world should be looking to us, not vice-versa. We have placed our stock in a fallen kingdom...when the Kingdom that is His is among us, within us, upon us!  As I traveled I fell into a deep sleep on the plane and the Lord spoke to me and told me the next president would be a "Cyrus" and "if the church will recognize it, they will be blessed beyond measure!"  From what we know of Cyrus, he was not a godly man... in fact he was a pagan... he was lost. But Cyrus built the Temple of God for the people of God. He paid for it!!! It was Cyrus that God would use as an instrument to bring righteousness even though he himself was an unbeliever. It was Cyrus who ended the captivity of God's people and restored them to their destiny. 

Yesterday afternoon an earthquake here in Asia that rocked our hotel was 4.5. A The Lord spoke to me Isaiah 45. ""This is what the LORD says to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I take hold of to subdue nations before him and to strip kings of their armor, to open doors before him so that gates will not be shut: I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron. I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places,  so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who summons you by name. For the sake of Jacob my servant, of Israel my chosen,  I summon you by name and bestow on you a title of honor,  though you do not acknowledge me.  am the LORD, and there is no other; apart from me there is no God. I will strengthen you, though you have not acknowledged me,  so that from the rising of the sun to the place of its setting men may know there is none besides me. I am the LORD, and there is no other. (Isaiah 45:1-6)"

I believe the promise of the Father to us is that if "see" HIS HAND as the one who has raised up whoever is raised up, and we honor God in His choice... we may experience the blessing of the Father at the end of the day! Psalm 75:6-7 For promotion comes neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south, but God who is the Judge: He pulls down one, and sets up another." 

But for us today, the question is not the vote on Tuesday, but the conditions of our hearts that create panic and stir up anger and hatred and weapons of this world which do nothing more than incite the darkness that is meant to be expelled from our lives and from those parts of the church that we have called wisdom, when the wisdom that is from above is first of all "peaceable and pure!" James 3:17 "But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere."

The determination of the results of the election on Tuesday, November 4, 2008 can be determined today by a people called by God, yes to pray, yes to vote your conscience, but also to walk with the Fruit of the Spirit, even while we pursue His Purposes on the earth! God is determined to find a generation that will go beyond what every other generation has done... they will learn to walk in love ... without panic, without fear... the generation that the world will look at, the one that governments will come to, the one that strikes fear in the heart of the enemy, because they are the righteous seed released on the earth! (see Psalm 14). God is in the company of the righteous ... what do you fear? If God be for us, who can be against us? 

I know who the next president is. They are Cyrus... and I can't wait to see the deliverance and freedom that is coming to the Body of Christ in this hour!

I have read all the "end of the world is at hand" notes in regards to prop 8 and other elections coming up in November and I encourage everyone to vote the way God is leading your hearts.

 

But please let me encourage you on another point.  Don't lose heart if you lose an election.  God will STILL be God!  Stop with the slippery slopes, already.  If Prop 8 doesn't pass, maybe we will have to trust in God's power rather than our own political power for a while.  Please realize the Chinese Church has NO political power at all.  You can be arrested for being a Christian and for asking someone else to consider to be – yet thousands of Chinese people are coming into the Kingdom everyday – EVERY SINGLE DAY. If Prop 8 passes or doesn't, I will still send my children to school each day knowing it is MY job to train them up in the way they should go and beyond that, I have to trust Him to take care of my family.  If Prop 8 passes, my kids will STILL be exposed to drugs and sex and even homosexuality – no law will change that – and I will still have to trust God to guard their hearts and minds and carry them through to completion.

 

The Pharisees were sure, if they could get every Jew to follow the law, for even one second, the Messiah would come.  But just like Israel in that day, America's problem is NOT a legal problem, it's a heart problem.  No proposition will change that.  No proposition will bring one single soul into the Kingdom.  "If MY people will humble themselves (not start a powerful political action) and pray and seek my face and turn from THEIR wicked ways (not demand everyone else turn from theirs) then I will hear from heaven and heal their land…"  Have we not lost a little perspective here?

 

I will vote in favor of Prop 8, but I will not be led into the terror of what "might" happen if we lose, I will not be led to trust in our power more than God's and I will not become hard hearted against any people groups that we have chosen to fight "winner take all" legal battles against.  Our call is to love sinners, not to crush them under the weight of our Moral Majority power.

 

I'm sorry to lay all this out, but I am weary of the doomsday prophesies.  Even if God's judgment is on America (and I sure hope His grace doesn't run out for me like everyone is prophesying that His grace has run out for California) then I rest in the assurance that every old testament judgment was God's MERCIFUL call to them.  Not His desire to destroy them.  He is a good God who has a Jeremiah 29:11 plan for me and my community - that is for Hope and a Future…

 

If they tell me I have to marry homosexuals or lose my tax exempt status?  Well then I'm REALLY going to have to get humble and pray for an outpouring of God's mercy, and that call would go out to a good God…

 

I appreciate your heart.  Please hear my words in great love for what you are doing here.  Just let me say "give to Caesar what is Caesar's" but don't give to Caesar what is God's.  Be free to NOT feel pressured to worry about this election.  I have a heavily vested interest in the outcome of an election in Fresno, as some of you may know, but I tell you right now, if the outcome of that race is not what I desire, God will STILL be God and His plan will NOT be thwarted.  Yet will I cry out for Him to move in the Valley as He has promised.

 

Please, be at peace, November 4 is NOT the end of the world.  It is a call to the church to Advance the Kingdom, not work harder for a political party or build a better political action committee…

 

I love what you guys are chasing on here – don't be so distracted – RUN, HE IS GREATLY ON THE MOVE!!! God's Holy Spirit will change California, not new laws…

what struck me is that on wednesday matt had been talking about how churches could be sued, closed, and the like for not wedding homosexual people if prop 8 doesnt pass. Thats what hit me the most about it, presonally. And please do not go over the top with replies (you know what i mean).

yea thanks. I definately know God is bigger than any election. I wasnt trying to sound like there will be a big judgement or end of the world type of deal or even that it was for sure a prophetic dream (which is why i added the question mark). But there another angle i didnt mention, i also felt like this could be in general what will happen if we do not stand up for righteousness and let things go by, not specifically prop 8. I definitaley better put my faith in God for the election since i cant vote. But even though one vote doesnt mean much by itself, when other people join in as a family or an army (or a combo of both =]  ), they can do GREAT things. I fully agree with you paul, and thank you for your input. Blessings.
