[revival-fire] The Next President

Hi Revival list... am in Taiwan hearing the "words" that are flying around. The panic that is never to be a part of our Kingdom.... the fear that seems to motivate us as believers when really love is a far more effective means of touching the world! Several years ago I was in San Francisco one early Sunday morning before I was to speak there. I had a few MOWTeam from the Sacramento area with me. As we walked into a Coffee bar to get our wake-up coffee ... another wake-up was looming by the Spirit of God. It was obvious that the "lifestyles" of ALL in that cafe were not what we as believers would call moral or righteous... I felt like Lot must have felt day after day. Many of you live in that culture... hopefully allowing your light to shine without it diminishing by the darkness that you live among. One of the young team asked me, "Are you getting any words on anyone?" I said "yes." He continued to "Are you going to give them?" I said, "no." He said "why?" I told him I would tell him later. He proceeded to tell me he had a word on one of the patrons and asked if it would be okay if he gave it. I told him to do what was in his heart. The rejection from the patron was profound as he realized this "Christian" was coming into his domain... and the conversation ended abruptly. After we left, he asked me, "if you had words, why didn't you give them?" I responded... because they "didn't need words... they need love!" 

I have witnessed so much demonstration among believers... but I can't find it in the Bible. I see so much panic... but it's not to be a part of our lives. I see a church in the first century living under a Nero encouraged to be a light and to share the greatest mission, the greatest message, the more powerful means of winning this world is not going to be through elections, but through Him and His awesome love!

A year ago, early December 2007, many of the candidates who ran for the presidency were still in the running. I was traveling to Idaho carrying a message that the new government of God on the earth, the 12.... was going to be "family" ... it was going to be His Family that would eclipse the governments of this world. That the church would rise as THE ANSWER for the world... not following the worlds.... or believing that the governments of the world, or the types of governments in the world, were the answer. Righteousness is to be found in the saints. The world should be looking to us, not vice-versa. We have placed our stock in a fallen kingdom...when the Kingdom that is His is among us, within us, upon us!  As I traveled I fell into a deep sleep on the plane and the Lord spoke to me and told me the next president would be a "Cyrus" and "if the church will recognize it, they will be blessed beyond measure!"  From what we know of Cyrus, he was not a godly man... in fact he was a pagan... he was lost. But Cyrus built the Temple of God for the people of God. He paid for it!!! It was Cyrus that God would use as an instrument to bring righteousness even though he himself was an unbeliever. It was Cyrus who ended the captivity of God's people and restored them to their destiny. 

Yesterday afternoon an earthquake here in Asia that rocked our hotel was 4.5. A The Lord spoke to me Isaiah 45. ""This is what the LORD says to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I take hold of to subdue nations before him and to strip kings of their armor, to open doors before him so that gates will not be shut: I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron. I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places,  so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who summons you by name. For the sake of Jacob my servant, of Israel my chosen,  I summon you by name and bestow on you a title of honor,  though you do not acknowledge me.  am the LORD, and there is no other; apart from me there is no God. I will strengthen you, though you have not acknowledged me,  so that from the rising of the sun to the place of its setting men may know there is none besides me. I am the LORD, and there is no other. (Isaiah 45:1-6)"

I believe the promise of the Father to us is that if "see" HIS HAND as the one who has raised up whoever is raised up, and we honor God in His choice... we may experience the blessing of the Father at the end of the day! Psalm 75:6-7 For promotion comes neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south, but God who is the Judge: He pulls down one, and sets up another." 

But for us today, the question is not the vote on Tuesday, but the conditions of our hearts that create panic and stir up anger and hatred and weapons of this world which do nothing more than incite the darkness that is meant to be expelled from our lives and from those parts of the church that we have called wisdom, when the wisdom that is from above is first of all "peaceable and pure!" James 3:17 "But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere."

The determination of the results of the election on Tuesday, November 4, 2008 can be determined today by a people called by God, yes to pray, yes to vote your conscience, but also to walk with the Fruit of the Spirit, even while we pursue His Purposes on the earth! God is determined to find a generation that will go beyond what every other generation has done... they will learn to walk in love ... without panic, without fear... the generation that the world will look at, the one that governments will come to, the one that strikes fear in the heart of the enemy, because they are the righteous seed released on the earth! (see Psalm 14). God is in the company of the righteous ... what do you fear? If God be for us, who can be against us? 

I know who the next president is. They are Cyrus... and I can't wait to see the deliverance and freedom that is coming to the Body of Christ in this hour!

I have read all the "end of the world is at hand" notes in regards to prop 8 and other elections coming up in November and I encourage everyone to vote the way God is leading your hearts.

 

But please let me encourage you on another point.  Don't lose heart if you lose an election.  God will STILL be God!  Stop with the slippery slopes, already.  If Prop 8 doesn't pass, maybe we will have to trust in God's power rather than our own political power for a while.  Please realize the Chinese Church has NO political power at all.  You can be arrested for being a Christian and for asking someone else to consider to be – yet thousands of Chinese people are coming into the Kingdom everyday – EVERY SINGLE DAY. Maybe, not being encumbered with the requirements needed to be so politically powerful has given the Chinese Church the freedom to go do the job they are really called to do – Advance the Kingdom.

 

If Prop 8 passes or doesn't, I will still send my children to school each day knowing it is MY job to train them up in the way they should go and beyond that, I have to trust Him to take care of my family.  If Prop 8 passes, my kids will STILL be exposed to drugs and sex and even homosexuality – no law will change that – and I will still have to trust God to guard their hearts and minds and carry them through to completion.

 

The Pharisees were sure, if they could get every Jew to follow the law, for even one second, the Messiah would come.  But just like Israel in that day, America's problem is NOT a legal problem, it's a heart problem.  No proposition will change that.  No proposition will bring one single soul into the Kingdom.  "If MY people will humble themselves (not start a powerful political action) and pray and seek my face and turn from THEIR wicked ways (not demand everyone else turn from theirs) then I will hear from heaven and heal their land…"  Have we not lost a little perspective here?

 

I will vote in favor of Prop 8, but I will not be led into the terror of what "might" happen if we lose, I will not be led to trust in our power more than God's and I will not become hard hearted against any people groups that we have chosen to fight "winner take all" legal battles against.  Our call is to love sinners, not to crush them under the weight of our Moral Majority power.

 

I'm sorry to lay all this out, but I am weary of the doomsday prophesies.  Even if God's judgment is on America (and I sure hope His grace doesn't run out for me like everyone is prophesying that His grace has run out for California) then I rest in the assurance that every old testament judgment was God's MERCIFUL call to them.  Not His desire to destroy them.  He is a good God who has a Jeremiah 29:11 plan for me and my community - that is for Hope and a Future…

 

If they tell me I have to marry homosexuals or lose my tax exempt status?  Well then I'm REALLY going to have to get humble and pray for an outpouring of God's mercy, and that call would go out to a good God…

 

I appreciate your heart.  Please hear my words in great love for what you are doing here.  Just let me say "give to Caesar what is Caesar's" but don't give to Caesar what is God's.  Be free to NOT feel pressured to worry about this election.  I have a heavily vested interest in the outcome of an election in Fresno, as some of you may know, but I tell you right now, if the outcome of that race is not what I desire, God will STILL be God and His plan will NOT be thwarted.  Yet will I cry out for Him to move in the Valley as He has promised.

 

Please, be at peace, November 4 is NOT the end of the world.  It is a call to the church to Advance the Kingdom, not work harder for a political party or build a better political action committee…

 

I love what you guys are chasing on here – don't be so distracted – RUN, HE IS GREATLY ON THE MOVE!!! God's Holy Spirit will change California, not new laws…

what struck me is that on wednesday matt had been talking about how churches could be sued, closed, and the like for not wedding homosexual people if prop 8 doesnt pass. Thats what hit me the most about it, presonally. And please do not go over the top with replies (you know what i mean).
