[revival-fire] praying the scripture

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******

This morning as I was praying I began to remember something that Judson Cornwall taught me years ago. It was long before others seem to be talking about it or writing about it. That is to pray the scriptures. I have in the past done this often but of late I have not been praying that way. As I thought of it I began to think about all the ministries, including my own local church, that have been struggling with finances or should I say the lack of finances. I was just getting a bit angry as I thought of men of God that are going without pay and bills not being paid. Not just in one church but many in our region. I was just praying for our need and my personal needs when a scripture came to mind

James 2: 15-16

If a brother of sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them
"Depart in peace, be warmed and filled, " but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? NKJ

As I thought of this verse I began to pray it back to the Lord. Some would say I was taking it out of context and it doesn't apply here in our time of need but I felt the Holy Spirit was directing me to pray this way to the Father. It sounded a lot like I was accusing Him of not having a working faith. But it just stands to reason that if He requires us to give to show our faith, then why can't we ask Him the same thing.

In the economics of today the world is running around and crying the sky is falling the sky is falling, men are dying for fear of losing it all. Gas prices are going over the top and we in the church are just a worried as the world. So I think it is time to put a demand on the Father to break the back of the spirit of poverty and fill the church with more than enough to make the world jealous of what we have so they will come in and find the truth that Jesus and the Father and Holy Spirit love them. So maybe it is out of context but I think it is time to pray the word back to the Father and see what He might do.

Father, today many of your children are naked and destitute and you have the provisions to take care of them. Your word says if you have it to give and don't there is no profit in faith so I ask in your sons name Jesus that you would move on the churches in this region so that they have more than enough to carry the gospel of the Kingdom to the nations and even to the people next door. Thank you for you answer and your blessings.
