******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******

Sharon, this message is exceptional along with a reply to it I'll send right after this.....both VERY good! Things we know again, but worth hearing again and again!
I did cancel your room and understand your position. I didn't know you needed to rent a car though. Besides, you have Keith Luker there! WOW, I almost came up, but it's just too expensive with gas now, as you know...yikes, it's off the charts, isn't it!?  I did so well at school last week, ending Thursday night, I got ahead, and now have an entire week off! Yea!  Plus my teacher said I did the best interview (mock) of the whole class...another yeah!
So, I feel a load off, and will start our new 6 week term June 16th. Ahhhhhhhh.....!
We'll connect soooooooooon, so no worries! Talk at you later, love you, Danna

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******

The revival fire emails have brought much joy, as I have read of the outpouring that so many are experiencing. I love that sense that things are out of control and yet at the same time the King is reigning… Please pray that some of this hit's Thessaloniki, Greece where the Lord has called us!

Please bear with me if I share some things the Lord has been saying, I believe it's in the flow…

Two weeks ago we celebrated the home coming of our grand daughter Jemimah. Our daughter & son-in-law had been given two bottles of a newly produced wine by the daughter of a National wine producer. It was delicious! As I took the wine the Lord spoke to me and said that New Wine is about to be poured and it needs a New wineskin. Not a modified or patched old wineskin but something completely new!  He called to me and said "Let's do church in a New Way".

The Lord then said some interesting things: We are church not the event… Expect Jesus to show up… Encourage diversity… Every part of the body will need to play a part…

I suggest you read John 2:1-9. Part of verse 9 says "Everyone serves the good wine first, and when people have drunk freely, then the poor wine. But you have kept the good wine until now." And  Matthew 9:16 says "No one puts a piece of un-shrunk cloth on an old garment, for the patch tears away from the garment, and a worse tear is made. 17 Neither is new wine put into old wineskins. If it is, the skins burst and the wine is spilled and the skins are destroyed. But new wine is put into fresh wineskins, and so both are preserved."

The New Wine is The Holy Spirit poured out, he transforms the very substance of the believer as he enters our lives and it is He who comes out, when you are poured out.

This New Wine we tasted: The Aroma was strong… The Texture was full bodied… The taste was rich… The colour was amazing. This describes our life in the multi-dimensional Body of Christ. This is not consumer church, this is the body of Christ made wonderfully alive by tasting new wine… It's Life!

The Wineskin.

The New Wine lives, so it must have a suitable container or the wine is lost… New wine is alive and like a baby in the womb it moves…. New wine needs a flexible wineskin... The wineskin is not an image we are familiar with in the age of mass production, but the originally wine was fermented in a container made from the skin of an animal. The flexibility would lessen with age, and whilst it could be lubricated with oil, eventually the skin would dry and become hard, consequently it would split when filled with new wine. Hence the importance of the wineskin as facilitates the movement.

So, the container had to be flexible or the wine would is lost, the wineskin had a limited lifespan. I believe the church of the 20th century must make way for the church of the 21st century. Much of what my generation have considered new is not new anymore, we have to make room for the best wine to be poured out and remember the best came last. In the present age the values of the Kingdom must remain but the wineskin must change so that a new generation can be brought in.

Pouring the Wine.

I checked out some wine tasting websites. I read that when you pour wine into a glass you should hold the stem of the glass not the bowl. This is so that you don't affect the wine with the heat of your hands on the glass. How this speaks to the church. Too many have left their mark upon the wine because they have held it wrongly, it's time to take hold in the correct way and realise this is God's church not ours...

In a new day you do things in a new way.

So, I encourage you … TASTE & SEE!

[revival-fire] Re: Taste & See

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******

YES...AMEN...THIS IS THAT....

Act 2:15-21 "For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day. But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come: And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved".

The wineskin represents a "confining structure that allows movement, but still maintains containment". The Wineskin that is being formed NOW will probably look totally different than the one we knew in the 20th century. My wife & I (having been Ordained in the ministry for over 23 years), have seen God bring MUCH change in "the way things were" in that time. We MUST be prepared to accept the coming changes & HUMBLE ourselves so we can stay in a place that TRULY honors the Lord. Unlike the Pharisees of Jesus' day & the Early Church,  TODAY's Leaders of God's People will have to have a changed way of thinking (I believe the Bible calls this "Repentance"). And this brings us back to:

2Ch 7:14 "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land".

The thing about this scripture that most MISS, is the word "wicked". All will say: "I am not wicked!!!...not me!!!...no...you are looking at the wrong person! BUT , when God opens OUR eyes to the TRUE meaning of WICKED, we will take our place in His Kingdom & His will WILL be done. The word "wicked" means: TO BE WRONG.......... (OOPS)....well....I guess that DOES include ALL of us, doesn't it!!! Our way, doesn't make it the "right way", does it? If God wants to do something His way...who are we to stand in His way?

The forming of this New Wineskin will undoubtedly be a difficult time for some. Because there are "those" that have a problem with holding the glass by the bowl instead of the stem when the wine is poured out (I love the analogy that David used below). Wine must be kept at a consistent temperature to avoid decay. When MAN "handles" or affects the wine that is "pouring"...it changes the "temperature" of the wine & also leaves the FINGERPRINTS of the flesh on the glass, which obstructs a clear view of what God is wanting to do.  And I am convinced that THIS VERY THING is what has kept God from "pouring out of His Spirit" in the measure that He has desired to do for SO LONG a time...until NOW. Pride just can't seem to keep it's hands off...OOPS...did I say pride?...we just don't seem able to let God do exactly what He wants, the way He wants & when He wants...we just HAVE to keep things under control.

But, that is NOT how it was on the day of Pentecost...NO!...there was NO control...there was only anticipation & fervent desire to receive what the Father promised to give. They had NO idea what to even expect. They had NO idea what God was about to do. AND they had NO scriptures to "back -up" what they were about to "experience". They just embraced the move of God....AND IT CAME...HE HAD HIS WAY....AND THE CHURCH WAS BORN THAT DAY..and it was born IN POWER!!!!!

Just as God's people in THAT day had to let go of the "old wineskin" they were accustomed to, we as God's people MUST allow God to bring forth the New Wine of THIS day in a NEW Wineskin. THIS NEW WINESKIN WILL ACCOMPLISH something that NO previous Wineskin COULD....God will "pour out of His Spirit upon all flesh" as we allow Him to do things His way. The Church is now poised to take the world. No other time in history, has the Church been in such a prepared, available & passionately HUNGRY state!

Isa 9:6-7 "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this".

Did you get that??? The GOVERNMENT shall be upon HIS shoulder. He is the HEAD...the Shoulder represents where the Head CONNECTS to the Body...it is HIS Shoulder (not ours). In other words...HIS Shoulder OBEYS HIS Head...(this paints a picture...). A head that has no control over it's body, is called CRIPPLED or an INVALID. Invalid means: Someone who is incapacitated by a chronic illness or injury, but more importantly, it means: Having no cogency or legal force. As long as the Body doesn't receive "nerve impulses" from the head, it can do nothing but lay there. As long as the Church resists obeying the will of our Lord, we will have NO legal force against the powers of darkness.

Luke 13:32 "And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected".

Prophetically speaking, we ARE NOW in the THIRD day (2008). His Church will NOW be perfected as 3rd day saints. It is time for the Lord's Church to RISE UP & BE ALL that He has called us to be. It is time that we listen & receive HIS marching orders...it is time that we be led by His Spirit instead of religious structures of control (ie: pride of man)...it is time that we embrace the coming move of God. It is time that we ARISE to the occasion!

This is the time of revival that we have all been praying for a LONG time...yes, this is that!!!!

[revival-fire] China - OFH Update 060708

Update from China . . . if you want to continue getting these updates, email me directly and I will forward them directly in the future, so as not to overload those mailboxes already too full.  Thanks,  Laura

Howdy All,

Well, we hit the ground running…running from the city to the airport!  I got into town on Monday at 0’dark thirty, crawled in and out of bed so fast I don’t think my blanket got warm and headed to work with the folks in Chengdu.  I touched base with the group, found hotel rooms for the teams coming in and then headed to the airport.  After getting the Macau team settled I headed out to crawl through the second hand stores.  I found five sets of bunk beds, a washing machine and a refrigerator.  After that, I helped carry all that good stuff up five floors to OFH Chengdu.  We just call it “The Casa.”  I had three rooms of furniture to arrange.  I managed to get things moved and configured so that we could sleep 8 girls and 6 guys in separate rooms.  Amazingly enough, it worked out so that no one was on the living room couch.  Then it was time to hose off the grime and head back to the airport to pick up the team from Japan.  Once we got the team settled in their room, I headed back to the casa and started setting up beds.  After setting up the first one it became clear that those iron monkey puzzles needed two people or at least one person with three arms.  I decided to finish the one man jobs and clean the guy’s room, Trudy style.  My friend John came over and watched until it was time for me to head back to the airport to pick up the OFH team.

I’m sure they had visions, at 01:30, of getting to the house and sinking into soft beds so that they could get up and get to work.  I don’t think anyone realized that making their beds meant they were going to have to put them together.  These guys were awesome!  When they got in, they dropped their gear and turned to.  The guys, since their room was clean began setting up their beds.  The girls started cleaning their room.  When the guys were done, the girls had cleaned well enough that the guys could get in and set up beds.  It took less than an hour and the bedrooms were spotless and the beds were ready to occupy.  The straw mats that serve as mattresses may need to have a layer of foam added but on that first night it was enough to get the available three hours of sleep before we were up and at work.

The day was spent in “hurry up and wait.”  I know it was a bit frustrating for everyone but the first priority of the day is getting the teams out so they can deliver supplies.  My job in the morning is directing traffic.  My Chinese is not so good.  A subject like car parking is outside my vocabulary but with monkey faces and hand jive I manage to keep traffic flowing.  Once the teams were out I got everyone in front of the HR person and things started to click.  With the team occupied, I had time to pursue the relationships that would keep us being useful and help find a place where we can make a long term contribution to what is going on here.

The team assignments bread down this way: Bea has been roped into the supply side of the house and has turned to in the warehouses, doing inventories, putting together the loads that leave with teams and hustling like crazy.  Alice, Rachel, Melody, Mr. Li, Ms. Chang, and Daniel have been conscripted to sort clothing in the warehouse.  We have a mountain of clothing that has been donated.  Dan was on the truck for the ride out and has also ended up in the warehouse sorting clothing.  Aaron and Bob are still working with Operation Light and Kristen is just knocking the local group dead with her translation work.  Everyday, operation leaders look for me to tell me how wonderful it is to have these guys working with them.  The team has been a huge blessing to the operations side of the house.  I am very proud of them and grateful for the job they are doing.

I’m also very grateful that the truck arrived safely.  Dan and the drivers managed to herd the beast from Haikou to Chengdu in less than two days.  I felt a little like Henny Penny.  We bought the supplies.  We loaded the supplies.  We rode with the supplies.  Finally, when the supplies arrived in Chengdu, we unloaded the supplies!  On the other hand, it was awesome to be there when the supplies arrived.  To see the whole thing come full circle made me feel like a million bucks.  It may not have been a 747 full of supplies but to me it felt that way.  Somewhere in the neighborhood of $14,000 to $15,000 USD in supplies landed in the name of the boss.  All of you that lifted and contributed to the effort can be very pleased.

In the weeks since the quake, the group we are working with has delivered more than 22 tons of supplies using small teams.  We have put in more than 1600 man hours in the field.  That does not include office time which ran day and night for weeks.  More than 390 vehicles have gone out and returned without injury.  Doctors, counselors and people from every walk of life have participated in the effort.  We have been privileged to be a part of all that has happened.

When the earthquake first happened, the focus of the group was rescue and relief.  As the days passed rescue operations came to an end and relief operations became the focus.  Now those relief operations are winding down and we are beginning to put together plans for long term help for the people.

An American friend from Japan and I have been putting our heads together to come up with a way to help.  He has been pursuing an idea and designing a program that will help kids.  In a nut shell it is a five day camp for kids that validates the feelings they have in the wake of their experience and affirms that they are in a safe place and the quake is in the past.  The whole thing is done through games and activities that follow the story line if little penguin whose world is turned upside down when his ice shelf breaks away from the mainland.  He finds out that despite the terrible thing that has happened he is not as lost or alone as he first imagines.  Jonathan has been working on the material since his relief team responded to the last large Japanese quake.

During the quake and in the days following, many of these children have gone through some of the worst events imaginable.  One of the most enduring images I have is of a small girl, maybe 5 or 6 years old, only half of her face visible, reaching out of the rubble to rescuers.  The numbers of children who witnessed the death of friends and are enduring the death of family is staggering.

We are going to do our best to reach these children and their families.  The Child Safe Activities that we hope to facilitate are so important to the children.  These activities, carried out over 5 days will help these kids cope with the loss in their lives.  It will also help parents as they receive help in keeping their children healthy.  In the end our presence begs the question, “Why are you here?”  Love compels us and love changes the lives of all that it touches through us.

We have worked non stop since arriving and now the weekend has arrived.  Everyone has scattered to the four winds.  Tomorrow we will attend different fellowships and then Monday we will begin again the work we came here to do.  This time the whole group will be going out to the affected area to spend time in the camps and to work specifically with two schools in the area.  We are hoping to get the green light to leave a team of foreign English teachers behind.  The group will be culled from the OFH team and will be both foreign and Chinese.  It may be put off for the next visit but we will be prepared on this trip up to leave them to live in the camp for a week.

Please keep all of us lifted up.  We need to have good wisdom and direction for the things we do.  So much good work is being done by the government and private citizens.  We hope to continue to be a part of that.  Please also lift up plans for long term work.  Things are very complicated as we seek to find our niche.  Attached is our proposal for one of the areas in which we hope to serve.  It may be a while before I can get a detailed update out to you.  I promise that I will somehow get you a better idea of the circumstance faced by those serving and those being served.  I will also get some pictures out, soon.  Thank you for being a part of this.  In the vine, Tim and the crew

[revival-fire] How much glory can you handle?

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******
Virginia Beach, VA
Edgar Cayce Center
6 June 2008

Walking onto this infamous psychic property I immediately notice whose heads swivel to glare at me and who merely looks my way. One woman looks up from the receptionist desk and smiles, blinks and a faint, "Ohh," escapes her lips as she watches me walk towards the stairs. Another sits on a couch reading, looks up expectantly before her face suddenly contorts into a glare. I am used to such reactions when I walk into the Edgar Cayce Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.) in Virginia Beach and head upstairs to the library. It is an interesting phenomenon. The light of the world shines through me and some people cannot handle the intensity of His glory while others are attracted to the light. Usually, those I pass merely give me a long, curious stare.

The A.R.E. library is the largest metaphysical library in the world outside of the Vatican. Rows upon rows of books by Christian mystics and occult practitioners fill the place. It is where I am researching my next book on the advanced prophetic – what's God and what's not. How is the language and experience similar yet different?

I am here because several recent encounters with the Lord lead me to believe that in the next few years, the Church is going to walk under an open heaven as never before. We are already starting into this new era of Christendom. And many Saints of old have paved the way through their experiences now largely hidden in books that hint of their God encounters. And many Saints of our generation are talking about God encounters that seem occultist and sound New Age. There are distinct differences and they are becoming clearer and clearer to me as I wander the racks of this library…and release the presence of God as I pray on the property.

What will this new season of the Saints look like? Glorious! For we are the carriers of His glory. Here, while I walk among people who are clearly lost in the darkness of their searching, I see their reactions and their reactions testify to His presence and glory within me. Who's got the light? We do.

So far, my research reveals that of all the historic accounts of wild spiritual experiences, the Catholic saints, with their focus on the redemptive blood of Christ and acute understanding of the Cross, have the edge over any occult practitioner. Their experiences are barely known even in today's books on the market about them. What made them such carriers of His glory that others took notice as they passed by them on the streets or stood in awe of them as they became enraptured in visions or levitated in the Abby or Convent in which they dwelled?

I believe that those who encountered God most dramatically and entered into life under an open heaven had two things about them that set them apart. The first is that they had an incredible revelation of the Cross and the blood atonement & resurrection of Jesus. And secondly, they had an amazing understanding of His love. The revelation of the Cross broke the ceiling, lifted the veil, or whatever metaphor you want to use. The revelation of His love, kept their motives pure and their hearts and minds and lives focused solely upon Jesus.  They were not interested in marketing the glory and setting up a ministry. They were so giddy in love with Jesus that they just went about their ordinary day lost in His presence – walking with one foot in heaven and the other foot on earth, saturated in His glory.

What will enable us to walk as carriers of His glory? How can we break through to living under an open heaven? Seek for a revelation of the cross and the blood of Christ. Ask for ongoing encounters with His love breaking through to you.

And you too, will see that others on the street or in your workplace or in your home will turn their heads and say, "Ohhh…surely the light of the world shines through you."
