******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******
I don't know why I'm so compelled to continue this study of water. I just can't leave it alone. It seems water has no beginning and no end. It exists on, above, and below the earth. It can transform in the blink of an eye. And yet its quantity remains constant over millions of years. Only God can do that!
It's what Wikipedia has to say about water: The Earth's water is always in movement, and the water cycle. . . describes the continuous movement of water on, above, and below the surface of the Earth. Since the water cycle is truly a "cycle," there is no beginning or end. Water can change states among liquid, vapor, and ice at various places in the water cycle, with these processes happenin g in t he blink of an eye and over millions of years. Although the balance of water on Earth remains fairly constant over time, individual water molecules can come and go in a hurry, but there is always the same amount of water on the surface of the earth.
Please don't think I'm headed for some new age, anthropomorphic philosophy of water worship. I'm just amazed to learn how water reflects - literally reflects - the deity of our Father and Creator. And so the question hangs here Father how much of You is in the water that we touch and feel and taste and drink? It brings a whole new meaning to Jesus being the Living Water and the Holy Spirit falling as Rain. It brings a whole new meaning to being baptized in water, and the significance of Jesus walking on it.
So many scriptures, otherwise familiar, have become alive to me in a whole new way; "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him."
or The River of Life in Revelation 22 which flows directly from the Throne of God, and brings healing to the nations. It is interesting how the Word of God begins and ends with water.
Many of you have emailed me water scriptures to ponder. Thank you! It just seems wonderfully endless.
