WE CONTINUE TO NEED YOUR PRAYERS AND SUPPORT.... a message from Pastor Richard Oliver
Dear Friend,
I am writing as a follow-up to my e-mail where I shared with you our need to relocate
It is amazing that in the midst of all this economic chaos, our church family has never been healthier. We are excited and full of faith, focused on Him and seeing His Kingdom come; seeing miracles and healings; more people being released into new ministries; loving and encouraging one another along the way. Wow! This must be what revival looks like!
HERE ARE THE FACTS:
1. We will have to be off this property sometime between July 1 and the end of Aug—we are dragging it out as long as we can, as we need the time to get our new location ready.
2. We think we have a new location—what a trick to squash 11 acres of stuff down into 17,000 sq feet—but it is all good.
3. All of our church bills are paid and current and we are doing well with our weekly finances.
4. Attendance continues to grow and people are excited. In our worship service, we had over 500 on Easter Sunday and regular Sunday attendance worship service is over 300. Friday night attendance averages over 150. All very positive.
5. With the relocation, we have closed our Christian preschool and will be closing our elementary school at the end of the school year in June. While these schools have been a blessing to the community, in recent years, they have required the financial support of our church. Our church family is in full support of the schools’ closing.
6. We will realize a substantial savings in our operating budget as soon as we are off this property of between $12,000 and $14,000 a month— right there is our building lease payment.
7. We will need at least $500,000 to do the build outs (tenet improvements) that are required by the County.
STEPS WE ARE TAKING IN RAISING THE NECESSARY RELOCATION FINANCES:
1. Over the last three weeks, we have raised over $100,000 from our church family, that is really good news and very healthy.
2. To help us move toward the $500,000 goal, we have YOU and other friends we are in fellowship with to consider giving a onetime offering for us toward the relocation costs. We have had a continuous positive response from our friends.
3. We are reaching out by email to all the folks who have been on this campus since 1996, attending conferences and revival events, explaining what is happening and asking for them to take part by making a donation. (I have attached a copy of the email)
4. Further, I am calling anyone that I can think of who might have connections to a loan source.
5. I am also working with our local bank of 20 years.
With that said, I am asking you –
Will you help us with an offering?
Do you know of anyone who would make Family a personal loan as an investment, which we could repay with interest over ten years?
If you would like to contact us, email me PERSONALLY at riverrgo@msn.com
We feel secure and excited, and at the same time stretched, but we are confident in our vision and destiny and are moving forward in faith.
Blessings and thanks for your friendship—we love you all and pray for you often.
Thanks and blessings
