Dear family, 

I covet your prayer coverage for the Gulf of Mexico area.   The hurricane Gustav has already killed nearly 100 (count not in, not exact) people & is right now devastating Cuba.   Those on the islands have no where to run.  New Orleans is being evacuated.   In 27 hours Gustav strengthened from a tropical storm to a category 4 hurricane, expected to reach a cat 5 (worst) as soon as it enters the warm Gulf waters.  There is already another storm, Hanna, right behind this one.  I remember Hugo (cat 5) hitting Charleston, SC (family there).  The devastation I witnessed firsthand after Hugo was worse than a war zone.  Extremely high winds, storm surge tidal wave like damage & tornados spawned touching down did incredible damage.  The fear instilled in many hearts was as great as the natural devastation.  Jesus left us with the authority to declare "Peace be still" to  spiritual & natural storms.  Please join your prayers to the millions of Christians in the SouthEast who are crying for mercy.   There is a man here in Jacksonville (I know & attend prayer events with) who is sending out the "doom & gloom punishment" prophecies & has had visions (& I do not doubt his visions) of much water, debris etc floating here.   Please pray God's children remove & clean their "lenses" so we can see with dove's eyes & align ourselves with blessing.

Baby Kaci went home around 5:00p.m. yesterday.  Her bilirubin level was down to 11.7.  I want to thank each of you for your prayers and intercession for my granddaughter.  Her skin is now nice and rosy vs jaundice. 

 

Dr. just said that she looks as though her bilirubin is 7 - 9.

 

Just a note of encouragement to all of you.  This is my second time posting a prayer request with the intercessors and I want you to know that they both have been answered by God within 3 days. PTL!!!!

There is a conference next week in the Dallas/Ft Worth area called Creating and Sustaining Revival Fire. Paul Manwaring and Kevin Dedmon from Bill Johnson's Church in Redding will be teaching and imparting on Revival.
 
The conference is at 7:00 pm on September 3, 4 and 5. The cost is $35 per person. Open Door City Church is hosting the conference in its facility at 8443 Boulevard 26 in North Richland Hills, Texas. Kevin will be leading a Treasure Hunt on Saturday, September 6 at 1:30 pm. We will be going to a local mall and/or shopping center to activate the supernatural out in our community.

We have such a loving God, God has been moving here in california. In such amazing ways.  I was wanting to be apart of stuff tonight and it seemed like God just had me go home and i couldnt figure out why? But i listened and went home and rested........   Well as I was asleep ........Jesus woke me up with this strong urge of prayer. I was stll half way asleep and was wondering what Jesus wanted me to pray about. So he told me to call my mom.......so i did and of course she answered and told me to pray in agreement with her so I began to pray.   Then somehow we ended up praying for her friend......Her friend wanted to ask Jesus in her heart.....As we are praying we feel the presence of God really strong...... My moms friend said she could feel fire in her body as she began to ask Jesus in her heart.   Thank you lord.....Angels rejoice over one salvation more then one thousand miracles!!!. So please pray for my moms friend that God will continue to reveal himself to her in such away that she wont be able to know him as religion but as the same lord as yesterday today and forever..   ..There is a world that is waiting for the Power of God to be made  known for they want to experience the true love of the father...and if   you wont step out to give them a life changing encounter with the    TRUE KING then WHO WILL/??  PEOPLE WANTS WHATS REAL!!!!!!!!!!! ANOINTING W/O CHARACTER -- RECIPE FOR DISASTER Character counts.  People  expect it of leaders be they parents, presidents or pastors.  They expect their leaders to behave well, to exhibit maturity and to set a good example.  When they fail to do so, people can be disappointed, disillusioned and downright angry.    This seems to be true especially in the Christian world, the last place that should be so. As Bill and I have watched the fall-out from the most recent case of self-destruction in Charismatic Crazyland (if you don't know what I'm referring to, consider yourself blessed), two things have occurred to me to explain the unChrist-like attitudes of the offended. "UNDER THE BLOOD" DOESN'T MEAN IT'S ALL FIXED First, too many people have a misconception of what occurs at salvation.  They believe that when someone gets saved, everything is then "under the blood,"  and "all things are made new."  Meaning, in their faulty thinking, that the person is now rid of  all ill-effects of the past and no longer subject to any previous ungodly choices they have made — e.g., judgments, agreements with lies of the enemy, or adoption of unholy attitudes.  This, however, is simply not true. Jesus died for the salvation of the whole world but, obviously, the whole world is not saved.  The salvation must be appropriated by the individual for it to be effective in their life.  In the same way, once a person is saved, their entire past is under the blood, but if they don't appropriate it, they are still under its power.  That's why we see Christians who are selfish, fearful, controlling, angry, immoral, etc.  Until a person takes responsibility for their ungodly choices/responses by confessing, forgiving, renouncing, and/or repenting, they are not really free from their past and, leader or not, can behave badly. GIFTING -- AND -- CHARACTER TO HANDLE GIFTING Secondly, many Christians don't distinguish between gifting and character.  They mistakenly believe that if someone exhibits great gifting or anointing that is evidence that they are mature Christians.  When their behavior proves otherwise, it can be deeply disturbing and confusing, leaving people feeling deceived.  IT'S A PROCESS -- SOZO CAN HELP The truth is, we are all a work in progress.  We are being transformed from one degree of glory to another.  This transformation, however, doesn't occur by God waving a magic wand over us.  It comes as we submit ourselves to the process of sanctification by receiving healing from the wounds of the past, taking responsibility for our bad responses, learning to receive from our Heavenly Father the things we didn't receive from our earthly parents, and developing a life-style of Christian disciplines.   Personally, I believe sozo is an excellent tool to use in this journey and so we will take this opportunity to invite you to consider coming to our next Sozo School, Sept. 25-27 at The Mission in Vacaville.  Check out our website for details.  We'd love to see you then. This week has been a whirlwind of Supernatural activity.  And I am still caught up in that Glory as it is touching down on earth.

We have seen some pretty amazing things this week and I would love to share them with you.

Wednesday night at Club Retro in Orangevale – God showed up, and the glory was thick.  At the end of the night we began praying for healings, salvations in families, and Financial breakthrough.  Right then God told me – you must state in faith your promise, so that God could get the Glory in the breakthrough!

                                  I asked everyone there that needed a breakthrough in finances – mostly young adults and youth- so many hands shot up. And many were raised for family. 

I told them – God is going to bring breakthrough. But you must proclaim it.

At that moment God came over me and I said – Someone in here is going to get a check in the mail tomorrow that you are not expecting.  So REJOICE!

Yesterday – I get a call from one the radical girls in the group.  She got a CHECK in the mail from a place she hasn't worked at for over a year and a half!!!!!  She was flipping out!  and more testimonies are coming in by the LOADS!

GOD IS SO GOOD!

Then last night – we were in South Lake Tahoe- and the Glory was thick.  The presence was real.  People got saved!

Then we were praying for the sick – a girl with a torn ACL came up.  By the end of the night she was running around the room jumping and dancing!  SHE WAS HEALED!

It was amazing – especially when they have not experienced that before!

So- GOD IS GREAT!

 

And we are excited – cause it Is rising…..

PATIENCE - THE VIRTUE OF A FOOL? As an example, brethren, of suffering and patience, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. James 5:10 In the midst of desert experiences, the call to patience can sound hollow. I want to know how long my suffering is going to last? And what is the point of it? James calls me to remember the prophets. Abraham received a promise but he never saw it fulfilled in his lifetime. In spite of that, I don't recall his story and say, "What a fool!" Instead, I am inspired by his faith. He believed God that his daily endurance would yield a nation, even if beyond his own death. What of the old man or woman who prays for a lifetime for the spiritual return of a child? Fifty years of praying amidst little encouragement can appear to be futile. Yet, when that child returns to God, often surrounding the deathbed of that parent, I would never say that their patience in prayer was wasted. The word 'patience' in Greek, in this text, is a rare word. That is because Greeks didn't consider it a virtue. They admired a man who took revenge on his enemies and who rose up to retaliate against injustice. To call believers in that culture to be patient was to go against the grain of their upbringing, their culture, their default way of reacting. How much his words must have strained against their internal radar. While some, by nature, are more patient than others, this message still grates against our soulish ways. I can find it in myself to be patient for a month or two, but when my internal resources are tapped out, waiting begins to drain me. The dailyness of required patience is just too difficult. My ache for any relief tempts me to rise up and make things happen. When I am waiting for godliness to take root in someone I love, I would rather browbeat them with guilt messages than patiently wait for God to bring about changes by His Spirit. When I am in a long season of travail, the only sustaining power comes from my root system. I am the tree in Psalm One; the one who is fruitful in any season because I have planted myself by streams of living water. To extract the moisture needed to thrive in any weather, I live on the promises of the One who never lies to make me feel better. Every promise is mine and will come true. The love behind the words sustains me - for yet another day. It's hot, and dry. Your rains nourish me today and my roots soak in Your presence. I patiently stand tall, my foliage full and green, and I can even offer some shade and invite others to rest beneath my branches. As they do, I pray they will taste of Your water.   It's very encouraging and refreshing to hear all of your awesome stories and happenings that God is doing.

 I wanted to share with you what I am really excited about lately! I have designed a new shirt that was inspired by my last pregnancy in which I felt the Lord tell me to wear the red 'LIFE' tape over my belly for my whole pregnancy. I asked the Lord what to say to people who asked why I was doing that, He said, 'Tell them you are being a voice to those who have no voice.'  In so doing I got a great response and many suggestions to make a shirt.  I have a heart to spread the truth that, 'A life is a life no matter how small.'   I believe if we work together (the body) we can do it!  So if you have any ideas on how to get this out there let me know, I could use all the help I can get. I just found out today that my dad was healed of major artery clogging (calcium deposit build up)!   The doctor took an ex-ray the first time and told my dad that he was surprised that he hadn't had a heart attack!  My dad had major artery calcium build up close to his heart and was possibly looking into surgery to have a stint put inside the artery.  The doctor was very concerned that he was in danger of a heart attack.  My mother and I have been praying for him for about a month and a half.  They re-tested him (stress test) and did new ex-rays.  Not only did he pass with a 100% on the stress test but the ex-rays showed absolutely NO CALCIUM BUILD UP WHATSOEVER!  Where did it go?????  ONLY JESUS KNOWS!  Thank you again Lord for hearing our prayers and healing my dad bigtime!  You are amazing!   Melinda Gatter RCSSM 2nd year and encourage you to go too!  It's so rewarding!

        This is the first time I have posted anything, and right now I am in shock of the news. My wife went to the mainland, yes we live in Hawaii and minister here also, she was to have some minor surgery but it went for  5 hours. Today she went to the Dr.'s for a post op check up, that is when it hit. She was told she has breast cancer, she has been very careful about exams and all that. The Dr. said that this type does not show on those type of test. So in Oct. when we come back over for the birth of our 6th grandchild, she will have more test. We both fully trust and believe in the power of our Lord and want His will for our lives. Again thank you very much.

Thank You all for praying for my dear friend Earl. God has come through again in a Big way. So many of you wrote me back with your personal testimonies of His healing in your life and prayers for Earl. I copied them off on Monday and wanted to send them for his encouragement. I found out late Monday by another friend, that he was leaving Tuesday morning for the hospital and would be in isolation for 4 weeks undergoing the chemo treatments for leukemia.

I awoke at 5a.m. Tuesday (very unusual for me) and the Lord kept me wide awake and beckoned me to go to his home in Loomis to take him the letters of encouragement you had sent to me the day before. God instructed me not to call him and just go. He lives way up on a hill, and the Lord said to call him first before going up the hill, within minutes of his home. When he answered, I asked if I could come up to give him these letters from revival fire news, Earl said sure but we were just 2 mins. from leaving to go to the hospital in Sacramento. I quickly went up and told him I had put him on Revival fire news for healing and felt the urgency to get these to him before he left, then prayed for him quickly and left. As I was leaving, I said, Lord if this diagnoses is not right do not let my friend go through even One treatment of chemo.

I received a phone call last night from a friend who knew how the Lord had told me to put his need for healing on this site and that I had been in prayer for him on Monday. She said the leadership had received an e-mail from our Sunset singles pastor (we are all part of a big singles ministry at Sunset Christian Church in Rocklin). She continued with: "Earl's at Home, when he arrived at the hospital that morning (Tues.) they said he did not have leukemia, they don't know what he has, but it is not leukemia and he won't need chemo." They sent him home. I fell to my knees with Thanksgiving and tears, Praising the Great Physician for His Faithfulness, 11:59, but God showed up!!!!   Thank You All in Jesus Mighty name,   Ruthy

Thank You all for praying for my dear friend Earl. God has come through again in a Big way. So many of you wrote me back with your personal testimonies of His healing in your life and prayers for Earl. I copied them off on Monday and wanted to send them for his encouragement. I found out late Monday by another friend, that he was leaving Tuesday morning for the hospital and would be in isolation for 4 weeks undergoing the chemo treatments for leukemia.

I awoke at 5a.m. Tuesday (very unusual for me) and the Lord kept me wide awake and beckoned me to go to his home in Loomis to take him the letters of encouragement you had sent to me the day before. God instructed me not to call him and just go. He lives way up on a hill, and the Lord said to call him first before going up the hill, within minutes of his home. When he answered, I asked if I could come up to give him these letters from revival fire news, Earl said sure but we were just 2 mins. from leaving to go to the hospital in Sacramento. I quickly went up and told him I had put him on Revival fire news for healing and felt the urgency to get these to him before he left, then prayed for him quickly and left. As I was leaving, I said, Lord if this diagnoses is not right do not let my friend go through even One treatment of chemo.

I received a phone call last night from a friend who knew how the Lord had told me to put his need for healing on this site and that I had been in prayer for him on Monday. She said the leadership had received an e-mail from our Sunset singles pastor (we are all part of a big singles ministry at Sunset Christian Church in Rocklin). She continued with: "Earl's at Home, when he arrived at the hospital that morning (Tues.) they said he did not have leukemia, they don't know what he has, but it is not leukemia and he won't need chemo." They sent him home. I fell to my knees with Thanksgiving and tears, Praising the Great Physician for His Faithfulness, 11:59, but God showed up!!!!   Thank You All in Jesus Mighty name,   Ruthy

I was waitressing last night at the Black Angus in Citrus Heights and one of the waitresses walked up to me and said that she has been looking for me for the past week and a half or so to tell me that her back is totally healed!  I only work there once a week so I don't see her often.  A couple of weeks ago she was in severe pain in her back at work and could barely walk.  She was waiting tables and couldn't wait to get home.  I met her at a computer terminal and told her that I believed in the power of prayer and asked her if I could prayer for her.  She said, "yes!"  She was totally for it!  I laid my hand on her lower back and said a simple like prayer in Jesus Name (other servers were around listenting).  She left work about an hour later and I have not seen her since.       Last night she said "I have been looking for you!  Remember when you prayed for me that one night?  The next day I felt better and the day after that my pain was totally gone!  That was weired!"  I jumped up and hugged her and said "Jesus is alive!  He is healing people bigtime!"  She smiled and went about her business.  I don't know whats going to happen next but I am excited for her.  It's interesting because she is also a "Bacardi" girl spokesmodel part time, and has to wear high heels when she does her other job. wazzup people. tonight @ heartbeat youth was incredible (big surprise =]    ). I just felt a sublte yet strong power rushing through me. (btw this is my first post). The last few months for me have been life changing one way or another.

 

I just felt like expanding what matt said tonight about the Christians whos ministry is simply a shirt, a badge, a bumper sticker, a large Bible, etc. nothing more (and im not judging you if you wear the shirt, wear the badge, or whatever. im refering to the "only's." again this is my first post so i may come off different than i mean to and i apologize before hand). What hit me is when he showed a shirt saying "Whoo Hoo Jesus died for our sins." (or something like that.) As Matt said Christianity in many parts of the world has been watered down, sugar coated, etc. With the shirt mentioned we've taken Jesus's torture and love and placed it on a cheesy, happy go lucky shirt that only makes the world go "wow. I thought Jesus was supposed to be powerful, not a cheesy rip off logo." 

     Matt's main examples were the bunch of shirts. With that said another thing that hit me was the cheesy (repetitive adjective, i know) rip off's of wordly phrases, trademarks, companies, etc. One example was "You To Be" with "like Him" written underneath. (an obvious point to Youtube). Instead of trying to change the world, weve attempted at becoming compatible with it. Look whats thats done us. The world isnt seeing a powerful God, theyre seeing someone who either makes you follow a strict line of rules or a God that does nothing at all. That's not my God. My God created and has power over the world. He needs us to be lights that go into the world, not walk by it with our 12 inch Bible held "professionally" in our hand. I want to be one of those lights, and am heading towards the mark.

A very good word.  I have noticed the same tide of judgement and pettiness.  There has also been a bit of pride in some that have not been there. 

 

If truth be known there is more that could be pointed out as wrong or peculiar.  I am not just talking of Todd but in many of those leading and pursuing Revival.

 

We all must be careful to stay in prayer and stay in the race in our pursuit of Him.

I myself have received such rich and everlasting blessings from this very peculiar, and precious man of God. Yes there are faults and imperfections in this man called Todd Bentley, but I am so glad that God has never used perfect people to do His works. For I would be cast out at the front of the line. I am praying for Todd and his family and Fresh Fire Ministries everyday. And I am pouring into them and sewing restoration into them. I am so thankful for God's peculiar people. And I am so thankful for the call on Todd Bentley's life. I am reaping the blessings from it. I am experiencing this revival everywhere I go. This revival has gone around the world and has spread into hearts in churches everywhere. People are worshipping together and seeing miracles happen in their churches and homes like never before, as a direct result of this revival. Please don't forget the blessings that God has brought us through this precious and peculiar man called Todd Bentley. He put his life on the line to break Jesus out of the box, and because of his reckless and very passionate way of bringing Jesus to the forefront, Jesus is out of the Box and moving once again in a multitude of peoples lives. Do not let history repeat itself once again. Instead of crucifying the messenger for being once again imperfect, lets together restore him to brightness, with our prayers. Lets show the Father of mercy how merciful His children have become.
