Actually, Tim, these postings certainly CAN be viewed as "counseling" someone who is having personal difficulties with their church-experience... but then again, there truly is a larger perspective -- and it's a perspective directly related to the focus of this forum.

This forum is to be a device where things related to encouraging "revival" amongst our churches and people are to be shared -- and though some people haven't focused on it yet, one of the greatest "revivals" happening today is the transformation of wineskins -- old into new.

These postings -- raw and personal as they are -- are smack dab in the center of this transformation (or "reformation" if you will). It's never wrong to consider larger, spiritual issues within the scope of individual responses to these challenges.

Hello to all!

 

I am encouraged by the reports of great things happening all around, and the revival-type events that are coming up. We will be having the Dews here in Deer Park WA Sept 19-21 for a healing conf where there will be impartation and training as well as demonstrations of the Spirit's power.

 

However, Richard Oliver has laid out some clear guidelines for Revival Fire and airing personal frustrations and trying to counsel such troubled believers seems outside of the purpose. 

 

We have the ability to contact each other individually and that form of personal contact should be the method we use to minister to those of us who are struggling and need our help and encouragment.

 

I have considered removing my name from the list simply due to the volume of emails I get through this site. So, if this "counseling trend" continues it will increase the volume and I may need to remove my name so I don't have to spend so much time wading through individuals personal issues that need to be dealt with in other ways.
