Dear Eric,
For those of you who were at Friday and Saturday Night's Outpouring meetings there could be no doubt that God is up to something big in our region. The question is what? In our Wednesday night healing class we are learning that Jesus kept His eyes open to the needs of the people around Him and often met their needs in miraculous ways. As followers of Christ we are to do what He did.
Jesus also came to bring God's Kingdom to this earth. That is also a mandate for us. The question is how? In the sermon on the mount we read the words of Jesus instructing us to pray like this:
"Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven."
Matthew 6:10
As I read the Gospel accounts of Christ I see Him doing miraculous signs and wonders which point to His Divinity, His Father in Heaven, and His mission on this earth. When I see miracles here on earth I want to know why God is doing them.
It is my belief that God is pouring out His Spirit (Outpouring) on our region at this time because He wants to see a major change. I am not sure what to call this change but some names that come to mind our renewal, revival, outpouring, and transformation. George Otis Jr of The Sentinel Group has spent years documenting some of the over 177 places on this earth where sovereign moves of God have taken place. These moves of God are marked by powerful Christian conversions of 70% or more of the population.
 I believe that God wants to do that in this region, a region well known for the lowest church attendance in the United States. What a powerful testimony this would be to the world. Since 2004 there have been open heavens over our region but in late April something happened again leading to these miraculous meetings.
We are calling it an Outpouring.
If your heart is stirred by the possibility of being a part of something so much bigger than one person or one church then I urge you to prayerfully consider your part in this wonderful opportunity that God is offering us in this region. When God lifted the veil from your eyes and showed you the possibility of of a new life in Christ you took some action to respond to that call. Maybe you came forward in an altar call or you spoke some words asking for forgiveness and committing to serve the Lord all the days of your life. When you did this something powerful happened and God got rid of the old man and put a new spirit in you.
Today each one of us has the opportunity to be a part of a great move of God. The Sentinel Group in their video "The Quickening" notes that the number one precursor to revival in a region is the pastors coming together. It does not have to be all the pastors, just a critical mass. I don't know how many that is but I encourage you to let your pastor know what is going on.
Are you ready to be a part of something powerful in this region? Do you long to see a sovereign move of God right here? I know I do. When I had the opportunity to say yes to God I did! If you are ready to say yes to God and be a part of what we are doing you need to let God know. Then, if you would, please let me know that you will stand with other local pastors and myself in seeing God's will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
