I just remembered something a former pastor of mine used to say a lot, "Remember that when you point your finger at someone there are always three pointing back at you!"
It is interesting how people 'point fingers' at others in the church. It is interesting how many people are waiting to say "I told you so" when it comes to the character or background of someone whom God is using. Some people in the church are as bad as the tabloids and entertainment news programs that are always looking to see how different celebrities are messing up.
In the church it is interesting to see that God still uses people who did not fit into what we think is perfect. Lest we forget, none of us are perfect. None of us have perfect backgrounds. None of us have perfect theology. None of us have perfect understanding of the nature, character and ways of God. None of us is perfect in spiritual discernment. We all make mistakes. I know I am definitely not perfect and I have a lot to learn. I have things that need to be corrected regarding "stinking thinking", wrong attitudes and behavior.
It is interesting that no one comes out and says, vocally or in print, they are pointing their fingers at God about His using someone that they do not see as perfect enough. Does anyone want to admit that they have rebuked God with an "I told you so?"
Do we bother asking God why does He use certain people that we do not think are good enough?
Do we bother asking God what is He trying to reveal to us about His nature, character and ways through whom He uses? Do we bother asking God what He is trying to reveal to us through the different expressions of worship, preaching, prayer, intercession, manifestations, healings, etc. that happen at various locations around the globe?
Or are we just looking to defend our theology and our ministries? Are we looking to criticize others to make ourselves look better in our own eyes and in the eyes of others? Is our security in what we know and in our personal ministries?
How big is God? How much more of Himself does He want to reveal to us? Are we looking to see how much more we can learn and get from God?
I have heard different teachings about healing. One person can teach one reason why people do not get healed and what is the solution for getting healing. Then you can have who knows how many other teachings that are slightly different or even completely different. Some of them we will see as being "normal" people and others we may see as strange, quirky, eccentric, etc. A funny thing is – God may use all of them for bringing about genuine healings. Why does God choose to do that?
We are to love and seek Him with our hearts, souls and minds. We should not get so much into seeking knowledge about God and theology that we become cynical. Our seeking of knowledge about God should increase our expectation. It should increase our belief that God can do so much more and wants us to be a part of it. We should always be asking God why He does certain things and what is He trying to reveal through what He does and whom He uses.

God is bigger than we think. God's ways are not our ways. Let us go and be open for Him to do things we do not understand and to use different people. He may surprise us with what He shows us.
