Woo Hooo! Congratulations Ashley Swearengin on your election as mayor of the city of Fresno!

 

Lord, You really are up to great things! Let's remember to keep her and her family in prayer as she tackles the tough issues in that great city. As a born again, on fire believer, she will have GREAT spiritual authority over the affairs of that city when she takes office. That is just a spiritual fact!

 

When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked [man] rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29:2   Some folks and many Christians are upset, in fear or just plain mad that their choice in president did not get elected yesterday. We need to remember that God is in control. He really is! I have heard much about Obama in recent months that frankly quite concerns me. I'll just say flat out that I didn't vote for him! But what also concerns me is a lot of foolish talk and cursing I hear from some parts of the Christian community. Do we not know that what we say out of our mouths has the power to kill or to heal? Are we as Christians going to make the same mistake that we did with President Clinton? Are we going to curse and complain again? IF WE WANT REVIVAL, THEN WE BETTER "WALK THE TALK"! Here is what I think we need to follow....   First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 1Timothy 2:1-4   I think we will hasten revival when we REALLY follow the scripture above and pray according to it's instructions! Find something to be thankful about this new president if you don't like him. Why? Because God tells us to, that's why! Period. Maybe God knows something about the heart and spiritual matters that we don't yet....   I am praying that a on fire, non compromising believer in the Lord Jesus Christ person will someday be elected president just as we have had here in Fresno, California. I know many feel election day did not go entirely the desired way but in Fresno God miraculously moved my wife into office as Mayor.  She won (by over 11 percent, despite the biggest unions, richest developers and even the Chamber of Commerce standing against her and sending out horrid hit pieces on her, pouring hundreds of thousands of dollars to try to keep their political machine into office.

 

Why does God care about the Mayor’s race in Fresno?  Because God has promised a great move in Fresno and, in fact, all of Central California.  And, like I said in my last post, God knows the problems in Fresno are not legislative problems but heart issues.  God has placed a woman of God in as Mayor, but not just a religious person who is great at shaking hands at Yes on 8 rallies, but a woman who truly has the heart of God and wants to share God’s love and not his judgment.  Many of the religious structures in Fresno are coming down – because they of man not of God.  And there is going to be a new freedom here as the new wine flows down from the hills (Amos 9).

 

There is a great move of God coming in the San Joaquin Valley (and, as many of you keep testifying to, it has already begun) and this move will reverberate through all of California and the Western US.  And, praise God, my wife’s election is another of many signs that God WILL NOT forget Fresno and the surrounding communities in this move.

 

Get Ready Central California – Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do great things among you!!!!!!!
