[revival-fire] 44 Turkey Dinners = GOD

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******

Wow!  What a night Monday night!  My heart soared and my Spirit sang as I basked in the presence and Glory of my God!  The more I discover of my Lord the better it gets.  I ask God, "how can it get any better than this?"  Fully knowing it can, yet having no understanding on how it can.  (Oh, the mysteries of our God.)  All this new discovery in the Lord was found while feeding the needy and praying for the lost in our community at an apartment complex our School of Ministry has been ministering to for the past year.  We were able to give out 44 Thanksgiving Baskets which included a turkey and all the trimmings for a full Thanksgiving meal.  This blessing was made possible by the Spirit lead generosity of our family at FCC.  I and a few others were privileged and humbled to be able to personally hand out each basket and to see the heartfelt gratitude on the faces of the families that received these baskets.  It is hard for me to explain in words how I felt.  I was high on God.  This, "giving of the baskets," was done in the club house of the apt. complex; we would invite 2 families in at a time, finish putting the basket together, and then ask if we could pray a blessing over them and their family. (most came with their whole family, kids and all)  Some where a little apprehensive but were more than willing to be prayed for, most ecstatically said," Yes please we (I) need prayer." I can't tell you all of the emotional thank yous that we were blessed with.  We were brought thank you cards, and I can hardly explain to you the tears of their thankful hearts that humbled and blessed me (us)so.  The gratitude was unbelievable and I really had no idea how a Turkey dinner could mean so much.  But I now know it wasn't the Turkey dinner; it was God's Love flowing through His vessels that was moving and touching His creation who He loves so much.  Words just can't explain the night, it was beautiful!  It was God!  It was so awesome to be in such a raw environment and feel the Love and Power of God every time we prayed.  Many were brought to tears of thankfulness and many swayed in the presence of the Lord.  The comment I kept on hearing after I prayed was, "wow, that was so nice, good, I really needed that," as they looked at me with a look of surprise and bewilderedness on their faces.  They didn't know what they were missing, what they didn't have, it was God! We brought God!  You could see the breakthrough all over them, they didn't know that God was really a Good and Loving God and they just experienced Him!  They experienced God through the giving of a Turkey Dinner and a simple prayer lead by Holy Spirit.  There is so much more but I don't have time to share it all right now, so I feel lead to leave you with this.  A friend of mine recently said, "Give away what you want and even give away what you don't have." For God is the one who owns all the cattle on the hills and He will provide what we don't yet have so others will receive and we will be abundantly blessed, and I do not hesitate to say, blessed abundantly Spiritually, in my soul, is better than any other blessing of monetary value.  God is so Good, He first came to free our Spirit and to Save our soul.  You want love, give yours away; you want understanding, then be understanding; you want compassion, then be compassionate; you want acceptance, then accept those who are unacceptable; you want more of God's love, then love those who are unlovable.  We are Christians! And as Christians we are under God's supernatural law (for a lack of a better term) and held to a higher standard.  Give and it will be given, to even give out of our lack.  The more we are able to move and function in this supernatural concept and understanding the more blessing and freedom we will find in our lives as we live for and commune with and in our God!

I am talking to myself as I am on this journey with the rest of you in discovering more and more of who our God is learning how to live here yet function in Him,in His Glory in the supernatural.  It is so good to be on this journey together with God's family.

I love you and Bless you all, and Happy Thanksgiving!

May the Lord bless and protect you; may the Lord's face radiate with joy because of you; may he be gracious to you, show you his favor, and give you his peace.
