Kiros - Financing Revival & Expansion

or,

Letting God Into Your Finances

Definition of Kiros:

Kiros is pronounced with a hard "I" and a hard "O" (ki-ros).

Kiros comes from the Greek word "kairos", one of two Greek words for "time". One is chronos, which is time in general; the "time in which anything is done." The other word, kairos, is the strategic or "right time; the opportune point of time at which something should be done." A window of opportunity would be kairos time.

Hi, Greg Nichols here.  As a Christian writer, I love to write about many subjects, but it seems God has things closer to His heart and those things lead my thoughts in writing. This is the way I like it, and the way I hope it will always be. God has been dealing with me about money and finances for a few years.  I believe this to be a critical end time issue, and extremely related to revival.  Stay with me here. It began in 2006, at the beginning of the year.  My wife and I had God move on us deeply, as we repented of not trusting God with finances and always seeking our own solutions.  What I didn't know is what we were about to face, as about that year, the real estate market fell apart, and in 2007, the loan market fell apart. I have been a lifetime real estate agent and mortgage broker, and this has been a tumultuous few years. We have been in suffering and there is a scripture about being perfected in suffering.  But rather than tell you how bad it has been, I would rather tell you the wonderful things God has shown us, and the beautiful things ahead for the body of Christ and the truly believing ones who belong to God.

Let me go back to the word, "Kiros."  A kiros moment of time is when there is a window of Heavenly time and these kiros moments belong to God.  Revival is done at the right kiros time, and although God is sovereign and He is omnipotent, He uses and works with men and women to bring about His plans. It has always been that way and always will be while we live on Earth.

Let me give you a scenario. You live in a huge city, and you are a pastor of a church, and a revival breaks out in your area, with your church as the key player, and God is counting on you to obey Him and take this thing to the top, and to maximize it for His Kingdom.  No pressure, no sweat, we do this in the rest of God, only obeying Him, right???  So as your building is bursting at the seams, God shows you that you must rent a huge complex, a civic center, and by tomorrow, you need $75,000 cash.  So you approach a businessman in your church, and no doubt, he will have it.  He calls in a second businessman, and the three, the pastor and the two businessmen put their heads together, and pray, and…… the money cannot be raised.  So the 3 men must alter what God has said to do.  Certainly, God had not said rent the bigger place.  Someone heard wrong.  The meetings are extended for a little while but soon they must close down.  The potential revival is over.  What God wanted to do has not happened.  God must move on another city.  These men had a kiros window, but they were undeveloped in their faith for finances.  They had talked big about God being their suppliers, but when the rubber hit the road, they failed.  God knew they would, they were being tested.

Did you know you can get your faith strong in one area and let it stay weak in another area?  You can be strong on healing and weak on finances.  You can also be strong on finances and weak on healing.  Many have succumbed to disease that God had called to be end time financiers.  Many great healing ministers have never been able to get to the masses because of finances and the lack of them.  You see, the bottom line is, we must sow finances to reap finances.  We must look ahead and discern the needs of the Kingdom and sow for them. Then, we are doing our part, which God has instructed us to do, of the kiros window and opening.  Most believers think they are sowing for themselves, their finances, their own increase, their vacations, their bigger homes, and they miss the fact that God would have them sow for the Kingdom's sake, for the maneuvering needed in revival, for the transfer of the wealth of the sinner to the righteous.

God is a master builder and brings the right things together in kiros moments, let's consider the birth of Jesus.  Who would have thought that Caesar would call a census at that time?  How could God know Joseph would obey and take Mary for a wife, and put away His suspicions?  How could God set up that people had to return to their ancestral homes? How could shepherds be ready to pay a special visit at a specific time?  Who would have thought that a Heavenly arrangement of astronomical bodies or body would position itself to light the skies for the wise men?  That light must have been put on course at the Creation thousands of years earlier.  Who would have known a 16 year old girl would be ready and able to believe and manifest a miracle of a virgin birth?

That night in Bethlehem was truly a kiros moment of time for all of humanity. Calvary was the same way.  Many earthly events had to take place for the crucifixion of our Lord.  Pure obedience of individuals on earth had to happen.  Our end time revival is no different.  Thousands and millions of small obedient acts must precede this revival.  My own personal example is that last October of 2007, my wife and I came to visit Family Christian Center in Orangevale – we had been in a service there years earlier, but now we came to scope it out as a church home. This was at the urging of my sister Jan.  We stayed, not only because it was a blessing, but because we obeyed God. Little did I know that God was setting us up for many things with that one act of obedience.  It has been a place of healing. We had been pulverized by life, and business, and many other issues, and God has spent many months just restoring and bathing us in love and healing of our souls. The church and its leadership have been blessed by God and forged for great things in trial by fire, and we could see that God had brought us to similar beliefs and priorities through similar revelations and experiences. It was not hard to obey God and move along side this body of people.

What has God told you to do?  What obedience is being required of you right now?  We must not be caught off guard in the area of finances when God moves on our city in revival.  Giving must take place, and sowing is the order of the day, now.  Have you considered that possibly God must stay His hand and keep revival back out of mercy for you?  Could it be God wants the lost of our cities, but must wait for the kiros timing, and that timing is delayed due to disobedience of the faithful?  We must throw out the "my four and no more" mentality in our thinking.  Don't tell me that revival finances itself, and the money will be automatic once it hits. I can't accept that.  Kiros moments of God happen when thousands of destinies all moving towards a single point intersect at a point of time. God is not driving those destinies, He is only leading them, and mass obedience must take place.  You must sow where God says, with obedience.

Obedient Christians who are mature in God, and developed in their faith for finances, will finance revival, and not the unsaved masses pouring in – they will not understand giving yet, they are not the answer.  Revelation is key, understanding is key, faith is key, and these belong to the spiritually mature.  We must obey, sow, and see the build up of Heavenly substance in our Heavenly accounts that God can then release on the obedient at revival time, or the kiros moment in time.  Every seed you sow right now has kiros moment marked on it in the spirit. Paul indicated in Philippians 4 that we have an account in Heaven.  The recording angel writes down every penny we sow.  Jesus examines every one of our financial gifts like He did with the widow's mite.  God multiplies those Heavenly accounts of ours, He increase them exponentially, and then opens Heaven's windows at the kiros time, not only to cover you with a financial miracle at the time of your biggest need, but to cover our revival expenses at the time of our biggest revival needs.  One thing God has taught my wife and I is this: the only way out of problem for a believer is to sow your way out of it.

A little boy sowed to Jesus two fishes and five loaves, and Jesus multiplied them to 5000.  The disciples gathered up 12 baskets full of leftovers and no doubt sent them home with the boy.  Imagine what his mother said when he showed up with a Heavenly miracle.  That boy was on his way to a kiros moment when he left home that morning.  I don't know about you, but if I surrender my money to what Jesus needs, He will give me the fragments, and those fragments will be very huge, and I will be extremely blessed.  I can live nicely on the fragments.  But what does this mean?  Jesus gets the main thing, my money is to feed the 5000.  Those 5000 were a type and symbol of our lost who need the Bread of Life, Jesus.  My money is for His purposes, His revival, His outpouring. I must think in these terms, I must be a sacrificial giver.  I must give it all, or be willing to at least, for His fragments will be quite enough for me, and I will be locked and loaded in on His purposes, His kiros timing, and when we are neck deep in the lost of our cities through revival, He can trust you and I to drop a million dollars on us, because He knows our record of giving when times were tough or when times were good.  God wants to build people up in the spirit financially, beginning now, not dealing in hundreds, or thousands, but in millions, and yes, billions in the area of giving and receiving. You start where you are at and let Him take you up the financial steps of progress, so at revival time, your financial destiny can make a difference in the big kiros moment of God!

If you will begin to think about your own kiros moment of miracle timing for your own breakthroughs, and coincide them and mingle them with the church and its needs, your man of God and his needs, and Jesus' coming revival of your city and its needs, then your giving will be passionate, your gifts sowed will have that love mark on them that smells so sweet to God, and you will not miss your kiros moment of time, not in giving, and receiving, and not in inner spiritual blessings and outward physical blessings.

The Messiah, the Master of kiros moments, has need of your sack lunch, are you game??

Bless His Name Forever,

Greg Nichols
