[revival-fire] May I...I May...
******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******
This last Saturday night at Club Retro "they" put me into the crammed little spiritual readings room again and we had two very curious girls come in and want to know what it was all about. One of them was very...how can I say...haughty and puffed up. I knew right away that she was acting overly secure and sure of herself which made me wonder if she actually lacked those things instead. It was kind of hard to get along with her cuz I felt such arrogance (which probably only bothered me cuz I can be arrogant myself (oh hey, how about that?)) but I humbled myself to her and prayed. I had gotten two things about her that I got to give her and a third was on the way but I didn't get to give it to her before she left to catch the next band. Then I was stationed in the main room by the backstage and while I was there I got a sudden urge to grab a piece of paper and write out the rest of her word. It was something touching on her family being very unloving and unaffirming to her and totally misunderstanding her (hence the puffedupedness) and that God was there to give her all these things and fulfill her. It was a rather personal word that pryed deep but I gave it to her and let her be with it alone. I came back later and she looked like she was about to cry. It was just the thing she needed to hear and her heart softened in response to it. She assured me that it was right on and then I told her that Jesus loves her so much. I told her that it's not about going to church, reading her bible, and being a good little girl, but that it's about God loving her and being all for her. I told her that all she has to do is accept it and at that moment I believe she did. Then I went and worshipped during the show while everyone stared at me like I was crazy for loving God so much and I stared at them like they were crazy for NOT loving God so much...
I am nothing without Love...
