| Truckee: Gateway to California On April 21st Todd Bentley prophesied that the Outpouring would come to Northern Calfornia and that it would come via Highway 40. (click to see video) Highway 40 was replaced in the 1960's by Interstate 80 but parts of the old Highway 40 are now the main street in Truckee called Donner Pass Road where River Rock meets. Highway 40 is 4th Street in Reno and enters California after going through Verdi which is the site of last month's earthquakes. After leaving Truckee "Old Highway 40" crosses Donner Summit at the spot where we had "The Call Truckee" last year. This is the "high point" of Highway 40 as it get's ready to descend into the rest of California. As I pondered this it occurred to me that God may be using Truckee as "spiritual gateway" to California. In fact, in the natural, this is where the early pioneers would enter California in their wagon trains. It is the location where the first transcontinental railroad enters California. There are spiritual lay lines that go from Truckee (Tahoe) to Redding (Mt Shasta). The point is that there is something about the destiny of Truckee spiritually that may affect all of California spiritually in the same way that the destiny of California was shaped by Truckee in the natural. Therefore, it may be in all of our best interests to help evangelize Truckee. As most of you know, numerically, River Rock is not the largest church even by Truckee standards. However, we have a large task laid out before us. For the past few weeks the Lord has really put it on my heart to reach out to the people of Truckee with the Gospel. I feel that God's plan is for the people of River Rock to be joined by others who have a heart for evangelism and for reaching all of California. This is also a great way for people who have come up and received of God's power to return and let the power flow out. This is the natural way things should go in the kingdom. Starting this May 24th we will meet every Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the Sierra Mountain Education Center which is the old Sierra Mountain Middle School where River Rock meet Friday nights and Sunday mornings for a short time of training and prayer before we go out to reach the people of Truckee. We already have one or two churches that are sending groups up to help us. If you would like to bring a group up from your church I would really appreciate it. If not, just come yourself or with some friends and let's watch a miracle happen for all of California! If you want to come Friday nights we have a 7:00 P.M. service that starts with a potluck and continues with fellowship, worship, personal ministry, prophetic ministry, impartation, and training on the prophetic evangelism technique called a "treasure hunt."
