[revival-fire] women are coming to the party

Momma Julia's Rough Guide to Glory - #3 The Glory of God on His Sons AND Daughters

May 23, Camp Hill, PA:

I love watching the twenty-something generation of young power brokers of the Holy Spirit that various schools of supernatural ministry, Jesus Culture conferences and other ministries are turning out. They walk in a glory-infused presence of God like I have seen only in the past dreams and visions that I write about in my books. I see the sons of various ministries moving out in power, launching their own ministries, running off to the nations armed with power and love and my heart rejoices.

This weekend, here at the Voice of the Prophets conference, I look for the glory revealed. And I see it! I watch the media productions of schools like Randy Clark's in Pennsylvania and the young men featured in the videos or on his platforms are so full of the exuberance of the glory of God that my heart leaps with joy for the future of the Church. Across the nation the fathers are raising up the sons and daughters in ministry schools filled with the glory of God. It is a wonderful thing. Yet, on these videos and on the platforms of the fathers and springing off of the platforms of the fathers, I only see the faces of the sons.

Where are the daughters?

I remember watching the glory waning on the face of a young woman who graduated from Bethel's school of supernatural ministry two years ago. Before and during her participation in the school she ministered in prophetic power that was accurate and bold – in various churches and on the streets. I thought for sure she could be another Aimee Semple McPherson. With just a little encouragement she could have been. She may still become one of the rare women written about on a page in church history.

I saw the glory fade from her face and I wept.

After she graduated it was time to face the real world. It was time to get a job. And wrestle with the question of how to release the gifts God has still burning in your soul to give away? Others, less gifted young men, found positions of ministry in other churches or launched boldly into their own ministries. Other fathers opened the doors of their churches to host the sons and forgot the daughters and the gifts they carried. And the glory faded from her face as well as the faces of many other young women I have seen who tasted the joy of ministering so freely and then felt the sadness as the doors close behind them when they left school.

Where are the daughters?

My heart breaks when I see these young women moving so powerfully…only to let the glory fade. The fathers raise up the sons and make way for them but cannot seem to see or hear the daughters. Where do they go from here?

I saw the glory of God fade from the faces of women in my generation and wept because I was one of them.

She reminds me of myself when I was her age. After meeting the Lord while I was living in Israel I eventually wandered into the Vineyard and avidly launched into every training opportunity and serving opportunity I could find. Ministering healing to everyone I could, speaking in churches, releasing prophetic words and dreaming accurate dreams, I dwelt in the glory of God and moved in His revelatory glory…for a long season in my twenties…and in my thirties….only to see the less gifted and more broken gain favor only because they were sons. And shame settled upon me because I was not married, I had no money or contacts, and I was not a man. In fact, I had none of those unspoken qualifications for ministry & still don't. I felt my limitations keenly and let the glory fade away from my face.

I saw the glory fade from her face and I wept. But not for long for times are changing.

I had a dream not long ago that I was swinging through the air like Tarzan flying from vine to heaven-dangling vine throughout the land. I was in my late twenties in the dream – half the age I am now. Oh the joy of soaring so freely and swiftly through the air; not caring what anyone thought; just taking sheer delight in flowing within the things of the Holy Spirit and soaring through realms of glory from place to place and nation to nation. I swung into a western town and stopped outside a saloon to peer into the window and see who was inside. I could see several prophets playing power, drinking whiskey and smoking cigars. Through the haze, I could barely make out Graham Cooke and Bobby Conner among them. Then Bobby stood up, walked through the saloon doors and turned to face me. Holding the stub of a smoldering cigar, he said, "We're having a party later on and you can join us then." I had no thought of joining them at all but was merely curious as to what was going on in the saloon. Another vine from heaven suddenly appeared and smiling, I grabbed it and flew off again continuing my own journey.

Whenever I appear in a church-related dream, I tend to represent a group of people in the church. In this case, I was this generation of twenty-something, young women. And listen my daughters, keep soaring in the spirit. Never mind what's going on with the good old boys in the saloon. A party is coming and rest assured you will be included. For our Father blesses the glory of Himself released in both the sons and the daughters. Our Father is no respecter of persons. The prophetic and healing gifts that have been bursting forth from you will be received.

Do not let discouragement shift its darkening shadows across your face after you leave a conference or a school of supernatural ministry or move to take a job somewhere you don't really want to be. Take heart! Let the glory of God lead you to the party. It's coming. It is almost time for young women to come to the table.

I saw the glory of God fade from the faces of women in my generation and wept because I was one of them. But not for long. For the times are changing.

I had a dream a couple of weeks ago that the convertible I was driving with a young woman in the front seat, flew off a highway curve and crashed straight into the third floor of a 3-story, brick building. Miraculously, the other woman and I found ourselves standing on the ground looking up at the absurd sight of our car sticking out of the top floor of the building. Suddenly, several apostolic leaders who run ministry schools came out from the lobby, through the pillars of the building and stood scratching their heads wondering how they were going to get the car out and fix the building. I turned to the younger woman and laughing, said, "I guess they are going to have to deal with that one." And we turned and walked on down the road, continuing our journey.

Where are the women of my generation? Apparently, our faces are regaining our glory glow and we are flying high and soaring through the sky on the initiative and anointing given by the Father and nothing is going to stop us from getting to the party on time.

Whether you are soaring or driving or walking or plodding along, don't let go of the glory. Keep your face fixed in adoration of the one who is Love and no one will ask, "Where are the women?" Because they will see us at the party – because they are there, too.
