[revival-fire] agitating the enemy

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******
Friday at lunch time I went to get my haircut, couldn't because the barber was busy, so I got a pita at a shop near there and went and sat and leaned against a wall in the sunlight behind my old college dorm. The thought came to mind that I wouldn't want to go back to those days, even if it meant I could have the years of youth back. I guess if the Lord said he could fix it beyond just redoing those years and my many errors I could be convinced :)

As I was sitting there on a narrow base of concrete someone began to edge the grass at one end of the wall and started my way. I was tempted to be outraged, but I felt like it was a "praise the Lord" situation (as probably so many events in life are). So, I got up and went around him and nodded and sat down where he had already edged. He had a job to do and probably wasn't used to "the customer is always right" :) I finished my lunch and got up, and lo and behold, there were about 1,000 ants swarming all over where I was sitting. Here in our location I've heard them called "crazy ants" because they're erratic and run very fast. I was already up so I dusted off my pants and checked to make sure I didn't see any ants on me and went back to work. The Lord said, don't hide it, so I'm hoping one of the things not to hide was these words.

Later Matt sent a note mentioning "agitating the enemy" and it seemed worth mentioning this.

Also, Matt sent a note during the summer where he said "GO, GO, GO, GO, GO". One of the sisters here at church had mentioned that she was either planning to go or considering going on a mission trip to El Salvador at that time and I believed the Lord was prompting me to mention the email to her, so I did. Since then I've noticed that Family's area code is the same as her birthday. When Rich and Lindy were here ministering, Lindy called her up and asked her to take off her coat. Then she said the coat was the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit was going to put her on (not her put the Holy Spirit on). I could be forgetting who the coat and who the girl were supposed to be :) Then last night she was scheduled to share about her mission trip and when I parked my car at church, the license plate in front of me had the numbers 916 and I was thinking of some of these things (the 916 things), then felt to mention them to her before she preached.

My God! As far as I know that was the first time she preached and it was so good I clearly felt humbled by the preaching and felt the temptation of intimidation that I couldn't nearly preach or speak as well. I also made it a point of speaking to the Lord that I didn't want to have a problem with jealousy, so that's a little peek into how surprising it was. Dear God! Mighty God. Glory be to God. Now, I don't mean to say, you really need to get the tape, because it wasn't like that. It wasn't a word that God says publish it far and wide (as far as I know). But for us here, us few brethren :) it was amazing. It had to do with us being acquainted and at least some of us (me included) not knowing that she was going to preach like that.

Now, we know that none of us should consider themself to be sufficient of themselves, but our sufficiency is of God.

Have a nice day
