[revival-fire] (SUPERMAN--- Mentality)

Defin  Superman Mentality- To save the world !!!   Sometimes it is easy as Christians to have the superman mentality to want to save the world from all kinds of stuff.  I think that we can get overwhelmed and overburdened with always wanting to save the world when really the truth is God has already saved the world through His son, Jesus.  John 3:16  teaches us: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believe on him should not perish, but have everlasting life."  Romans 10:13   For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. So we know that God sent His one and  only son that WHOEVER meaning anyone and everyone who calls on Jesus can be saved.   So many of us are striving and trying way too hard when God says " I want you to be a light Shinning in a dark place!, but most of all I want to be the light shinning in you."  I want to be the one to RISE UP in you"  Light has authority! Light overcomes darkness Light Takes over darkness. Yes we all know that the devil is the prince of darkness and things but if we are not shinning then how are we going to bring things to light? And we all know the devil is the prince of the air.  When you start a fire you smell the flames. So i know when there is passion burning and you start a fire the devil is always going to declare war because he can smell the smoke in the flames.   Sometimes though as Christians i think we can give the devil too much credit when it comes to warfare. Why are we surprised when he attacks? 1st Peter 4:12   Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you. 2 CHRONICLES 20: 1-30 - Praise and intimacy with Jesus  is the most powerful weapon in warfare I was reading the story of Jehoshaphat and how God promised that He was going to fight and win the battle for them and He did; all they had to do was praise and sing to God and God defeated their enemies.    Sometimes we just have to make more room for Him. I want Jesus to shine through me, I don't want to rise up on my own strength, I want Him to rise up in me. HE MUST INCREASE -- I MUST DECREASE!"  John 3:22-4:3   Now I'm not saying that we can have everything handed to us on a silver platter but i am saying  that intimacy with Jesus is the most powerful weapon of warfare for we cannot do things on our own.  We cannot save the world from dying on our own. Jesus says, I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. John 5:15  "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." - Matthew 19:26 "No matter how great our intentions. The ONLY way to win the battle in this world is to win the battle in our hearts and minds and give JESUS our complete surrender, our deepest place of intimacy." - my mom Lauren Champagne RCSSM 1st Year
