[revival-fire] Sitting With Jesus

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******

As I was sitting with Jesus and spending time with Him. Loving Him, devoted to Him, Giving my life to Him.. He brought me a precious jewel.

A phone call from an old acquaintance that had lost her home and everything she owned a year ago and after bouncing from place to place was facing being homeless with her son. I invited her to stay with me. I was given the opportunity to care for a woman and child, feed them, put a roof over their heads, and give them a peaceful place to rest. . but most importantly show them the love of Jesus Christ. After 2 months, she gave her life to the Lord and her son LOVES going to church. He is the first one up on Sunday mornings.

Even though I am a single mom that works LONG hours to meet my family's needs and provide paycheck to paycheck; Jesus shows me what it means to be truly RICH. So many of us work long hours and it is easy to feel frustrated that we can't get out enough to minister in the streets and by ways. But the truth is workplace ministries are real, vital, and active. Not being ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ in the work place is no small thing. It is time with Jesus that gives you the character to be able to withstand the persecution that comes with it; also, it is His working in our hearts that make us walking epistles to the ones around us day in and day out. THEY know if we really mean it or not. I can't even count how many times the Holy Spirit healed people in my work building (a 3 story building filled with different companies); or how many times I have prayed for the broken hearted in the women's room, or received phone calls to sneak away in to someone else's office to pray for immediate needs of people I don't even know (coworkers from another company); or even asked to pray for someone who was transferring to a new location and needed a prophetic word to combat the anxiety. It's about LOVING the ones that God puts before you. And people can tell if you really love them or if you are playing some kind of Christian club membership game.

Jesus is what it is ALL about. HIS kingdom here on earth NOW. I found that it is ok to pour myself out completely to give and care for another. He makes sure I get refilled. I wonder what would happen if more of us actually TOOK IN the homeless, the elderly, and the fatherless (when the Holy Spirit prompts us to) and helped them get on their feet. One person at a time; instead of leaving them for the government and programs to deal with. I know a radical idea isn't it. My friend is only the 2nd homeless person I have taken in. The first was an elderly, disabled, Buddhist (I had the honor to introduce to Jesus); she is now living on her own in a home (with the help of housing) and is in ministry school full time, majoring in Christian Counseling. What I am trying to say is... It can be done!

We all have different roles in the kingdom. There are ground forces that go out hand to hand and their are archers that observe, aim, wait for the command and shoot for the target. And we have our leaders who, like Moses, keep their arms outstretched to the Lord. Even though there are different placements and strategies, WE ARE ONE! and His will WILL be done Here on Earth as it is done in Heaven.

I am joining Him with changing the world, ONE soul at a time. Though it seems small, I know it is big in His eyes.

In Love,
STEADFAST CHER the Archer
