RE: [revival-fire] Taking Action

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******

THANK GOD FOR HIS WORD, HIS WORD IS TRUE AND HE IS FAITHFUL IN WHATEVER SEASON WE FIND OURSELVES IN.

THIS WORD IS A PROMISE TO THOSE WHO WAIT, YOU SHALL RUN (BE READY TO TAKE THAT ACTION) AND NOT BE WEARY, YOU SHALL WALK AND NOT FAINT.

LET US KEEP MOVING AND ADVANCING IN THE KINGDOM,
'BLESSINGS!

Isaiah 40:28-31 Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD,
Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary.
His understanding is unsearchable.
He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength.
Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall.
But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles,
they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

'But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.-Isa 40:31'

Funny thing about that verse is the meaning of the word 'wait'. We know the Old Testament was writtin in Hebrew therefore we look up the Hebrew word for 'wait' and find- Qavah (a verb--verbs mean action!)
Qavah meaning: to wait or look eagerly for, to hope, expect, to bind or twist. So... They that 'eagerly pursue' the Lord, they are the ones who renew their strength! Ah ha!
Funny how we read that and think...all we have to do is rest with God, just wait on Him to move, just WAIT! When it actually means the exact opposite! We are to Eagerly, and Passionatly Pursue HIM! God loves to use us--which requires us to move in action! While we are sitting around 'waiting' on God, He is also waiting on us to move to action and realize that He has given us everything we need--we are the answer!

The reason why 'waiting' and 'resting' with God is such a desire for us is because it was our very first mandate...going all the way back into Genesis where God created man to have dominion over the earth, to enjoy His presence and enjoy intimate relationship with God... Well we forget the second mandate that was put upon us. After the fall of man, Christ had to die to restore that relationship with God, to restore that intimacy with Him. But remember when Christ spoke to us in Mark 16:15 and said 'Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation...' That was our second mandate to GO! and Going requires action! We dont have to wait for a 'feeling' or a 'calling' to come over us and then we GO... no! its in the Bible!! We are ALL CALLED TO GO!!!
But this mandate goes against our first mandate witch was to REST! That is why the church has struggled so long....We want so badly to just rest in Him, to just BE in His presence (which is totally why we were created in the first place!) However we have to realize that there was a second mandate given to us and that was the responsibility of GOING into the world and making disciples! There will be a time again when our original mandate will once again be restored--and that is when Christ comes back for His Bride and we will day and night get to rest and wait and just BE with our awesome God.
Yes absolutly take time to Rest in God, to WAIT in His presence... we still need to take time to get filled up in Him so that we can continue poring out. But do not let that be your lifestyle that you live....Live a lifestyle of GOING, SHINING, WARRING, PORING OUT, Fulfilling your mandate and your calling!

Just to show a different perspective..... :)

I'm with Kevin...No longer waiting--i'm choosing to be apart of the Chosen generation! meaning...i am passionatly pursuing my God and His promises and not holding back untill i receive ALL that He has for me!
And with that eager pursute will I receive His Strength to keep going!!!! I am running the race to win!!!!!!!!!

Sometimes the action is in the 'sitting'. There is a book from Watchman Nee called, 'sit, walk, stand'. He was a Chinese minister in the early 1900's that died after 20 years in prison for preaching about Jesus in Red China. His teachings were published and are rich.

Often the ways of the Kingdom are opposite from that of the world. The world's definition of 'action' involves 'busy'ness, and often we come to Christ and feel like we need to be put to work right away. The intention is often to work and show Him how much we love and appreciate what He's done for us. The intention is beautiful, but sometimes can distract from the RELATIONSHIP that needs to be developed.

I have learned that in the Kingdom, the work is in the sitting. True ACTION occurs when we SIT with Jesus for as long as it takes for Him to make the crooked things straight, and to bring the mountains level and to raise the valleys up.

We find that the more we sit with Him, when He calls us to stand, walk or fly. The effort is minimal in comparison to the effectiveness; and, also many pitfalls are avoided that come from acting before our character can handle it.

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.-Isa 40:31

I find that in Kingdom matters, it is always best to think upside down :D

I guess what I am trying to say is... the key to gaining momentum in the Kingdom of Our Lord, Jesus Christ.. is to sit with Holy Spirit and see what He sees; I think you will amazed by the 'action' that will occur in bringing you to the promises of God.

LOVE,
CHER
