Well, I'm not sure that I should send this note (like, not sure that I
know, that I know, that I know I should send it)
After Matthew's earlier note today I wrote a response, then asked the
Lord if I should send it, and felt like he shook his head no. Then Julia
sent a follow-up and mentioned the word "bluff" that I had used in a
different way in my note (with considerable focus, because it has
different meanings and I was selecting *one* meaning). Now, Matthew's
note talks about the roar of the heavenly hosts, something that could be
related to what I wrote and then didn't send. So, here's the email,
typed in again.
Thank you Matthew for the wonderful note.
As I read it I wanted to say something, anything, to add to what was
being said, even if I didn't have anything to say, maybe just speak in
tongues :)
Then I saw the comment that God never abandoned Israel no matter what
they did.
That reminded me of a book by Gene Edwards called The Divine Romance.
I saw an advertisement for the book showing the book cover in a
Christian Youth Magazine some years ago. I felt the Lord's presence when
seeing the book cover more than any other picture. It was a gray-tone
picture and I didn't at all have the same response when I got the book
and saw it.
The book cover had a man and a woman looking into a bright center and
around the center were angels, not as prominent as the man and woman,
pointed toward the center from all around. It was Jesus and the woman
was the church.
In the book Gene Edwards talks about the creation when God created
woman and he imagines the angels watching as God carefully created Eve.
The littlest angel said something like, he has a faraway look, like he
is thinking about something else and it matters to him a lot.
Through the book Gene talks about a girl growing up to be a woman and
he keeps asking, who *is* she?
And finally he says, it is you (and all of us) the church.
A friend and I went to a conference in Portland Maine where Gene's
group was meeting, and as we got off the airplane the air smelled so
clean. A brother there met us and took us to one of their houses and
then we went to the Portland Head Light (the main lighthouse, I think).
As we walked through the park toward the sea as we went over a bluff we
saw a picnic table till then out of sight, and I said to my friend, Oh
Randy, and he knew that I was thinking of being there with my wife (I
was and still am unmarried). It was probably at those times a bit of a
tiresome theme :)
Have a nice day

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******
Last night at HearBeat Ministries and Club Retro in Orangevale
(Sacramento)
We were visited by a supernatural army of angelic forces. As we began
to cry out and lift our voices before the throne, we were joined by a
mighty roar of the heavenly hosts. As we worshiped you could hear this
deafening cry resounding all around us, it was shocking, frightening and
Great!
Many heard it and were blown away.
This is the second time in a few weeks that I have heard this mighty
roar and it is to great to keep from you all. Something is happening,
and I am glad that we get to be a part of it.
Look for the increase in healings and the supernatural.
On the front lines and loving it
Matthew Oliver
Plus – feel free to join us this Friday night for Fridays on Fire –
as we join with many prophetic voices from the region as well as
spiritual leaders as we press into the supernatural promises of God
