[revival-fire] My Generation...

Sigh,   "But I thought we were awake... ...I know We all thought that we were already awake...   ...then we woke up"   -Confession #375                            There is no way that I can say this but to just say it.  I have observed intently the human race for quite some time now.  It used to be my profession until I found myself in what Brennan Manning called "the paralysis of analysis".  Now I am something else...                            I would just like to say to my generation that things are screwed up and everybody knows it but nobody shows it.  Talking about it anymore will not help fix or clarify it.  But I would like for you all to know that I feel your pain.  I know that bottomless feeling that your heart sinks into when you fall and no one catches you.  Or when you see something on television that makes your mouth drop open cuz you can't believe that this is actually happening.  Grinding teeth to news radio broadcasts.  Not wanting to open the blinds on your window.  Totally relating with the young gun who went ashootin in the local mall.  I don't blame you for not wanting to be here.  I say "you'd have to be out of your mind to want to stay here".  No wonder we all feel so suicidal all the time...   "Say something that you know they might attack you for..." -Mike Shinoda                            I know that many do not understand and sweeping it under the carpet doesn't make it any easier either.  To be all truthful and honest in a way you must be with a man holding a gun to you on a dark street, suicide is not all that crazy of an idea.  Don't get me wrong, there's some nasties out there that want you to die in whatever way they can help.  They hate you, want to destroy you, and will settle for anything less than you at your best.  I don't mean that suicide.  That suicide is just lending demons a helping hand in tying the blindfold.  I mean the suicide of not wanting this world or anything is has to offer, wanting out, wanting to find a different way of life, wanting to tear this flesh of death apart and feel something real underneath.  That is totally rational with an unrational God, and He understands you.  I understand you.  Wanting revolution against faulty systems, wanting total destruction of hypocritical establishments, the whole bucking the system thing...it's not crazy...    "And no one, having drunk old wine, immediately desires new; for he says 'The old is better.' "  - Jesus                      I want you to know that you are not alone...never have been.  There is a Way but it is unlike any way you have ever been presented with.  As a matter of fact the Way isn't a way at all; it's a Man.  And if you want to know that Way that He Is than you must walk with Him and talk with Him.  You must love Him as He loves you and listen and obey and trust and have faith.  You want something that's bigger and greater than you and your life?  He Is.  You want to live for something worth dying for?  He Is.  You want a movement that will never stop moving, a revolution that goes against even revolutions?  He Is.  I know the world has told you that being hard and strong and fierce is strength.  They've told you that making a name for yourself is what will immortalize you.  That if you can just get the right guy/girl with the right job and the right car at the right house then you will be happy and forever be safe.  But you won't.  No, you, my precious generation, desire something more.  LIke the upheaval of hundreds of years of swallowing nonsense our generation has come up upon the mouth of the present day and now here we are with no clue as what to do...   "Neither past nor future matters, only now... make the most out of every generation..."   - The Way Of The Samuria                       Granted our parents and grandparents have not shown us the greatest example.  I can't remember the last time I saw a real man in this country (full grown mature adults excluded).  Believe it or not they were once in the same place you are even though we are the ones that have inherited their mess.  The bottom line, we are all in the same boat and we are just as screwed up as anyone else.  No one cast stones because no one had a right to and neither do me or you.  I know that the God, the Jesus that they have shown you is nothing that you want.  I didn't want it either.  But I promise you, I plead with you my precious generation, that is not the true God and that is not who Jesus is.  There is no corner, crevice, or crack that the hand of Christ does not reach out to.  I don't care what you've done, how you've done it, or who you've done it to, JESUS WANTS YOU.  He doesn't want anything from you, He wants everything from you, but most importantly He wants you.  He wants you in the way that you long and lust for that lover of yours but to the point that He actually did die for it.   We've never paid that high of a price.  He did.  You must know that He wants to listen.  He wants to understand.  He wants to know.  He wants you more than you will ever want Him and He doesn't care, just as long as He can have you...   "I love my generation... ...I love my generation"   -Cleddie Keith                       By all means I don't even want you to take my word for it; I want you to take His Word for it instead.  You don't need me, or a church, or a religon, or a pastor.  You don't have to pray, pay, or play anything.  Just say His precious name and before the end of it even reaches your lips He will answer "Yes?".  He is waiting for you.  He needs you.  You were right in your ignorant, youthful thinking.  There is some serious stuff missing around here.  Things are terribly wrong.  And YES, you can and will do something about it.  But believe it or not this revolution starts inside you.  In the square inch, twenty one grams of your inner most being where you don't even have enough room to get a foot hold in order to push against the great darkness of this world.  But when you turn that tiny, hidden fragment of you over to Him, it will be all that He needs.  He will change the world with you starting with you.  But you must change in order to change; there is no other way.  I give this all to you freely just as I have recieved freely and I will see you on the other side.  I love you brother...I love you sister...   "If you can see then look...
