[revival-fire] A Trip to Oregon

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******
My three kids and I visited my brother in Oregon just recently. I am always afraid and a bit nervous when it comes to going somewhere where I haven't been to alone as a driver. This trip takes about 8-10 hours of drive. All kinds of thoughts went through my mind. "What if I will get lost, what if I'll have a flat tire, what if I brake down in the middle of nowhere with three kids and no cell phone...etc ?

Even though I picked up the necessary maps from AAA, had the direction printed out from Map-Quest and recruiting enough people to pray for our trip, I still found myself being nervous. Finally and after much prayer, I found peace and felt being assured that everything  will be okay.

On the way there ,we took only one wrong turn on the first half of our trip and we were back on US 97 in about 10 minutes with the help of a kind lady. On the second half of the trip we picked up two teenage hitch-hikers. The only time we pick up hitch-hikers is, when we feel led by the Holy Spirit to do so. Initially we passed by these two teenagers. After both my kids and I felt that we needed to turn around and pick them up, we did. / They were waiting there for about 2 hours before we came./

Each time this happen, my first thought is to share the Lord with them. My kids know that I jump at opportunities like that. They have seen me doing it many times over the years. My daughter, Mercedes warned me " Mom just don't start right away please !" "Well of course I don't sweetie, but I'll make sure I do share the Lord with them before they get out" I replied.

These two traveled with us a little over 100 miles, giving us plenty of opportunity to witness. The Lord blessed us with a great conversation with them and when there was an opening for us to share the Gospel with them, we did. We spoke into their lives, we encouraged and prophesied over them. Dustin and Bror came very close to salvation. They said that they've never had such wonderful experience with Christians before and that we gave them a lot to think about. Please pray for these two awesome young men that the good seed that was being planted in their heart would grow until it comes to full fruition. I saw incredible destiny over these two. I've been praying for them ever since. I praise God for opportunities to share His love and His plan of salvation with others. We are His light in this gradually darkening world to show the way to salvation.

During our stay a sty begin to grow on my right eyelid. Oh great ! I thought, I'm going to look horrible by the time I get back to Sacramento. Then the Lord reminded me of  the several occasions when I prayed over cold sores that began to shrink instead of getting bigger. So, I placed my finger on the sty and commended it to shrink back to nothing in the name of Jesus. I didn't see any change at the time of prayer. However, when I checked it later on during the day, I noticed that it didn't continue to grow. By the next day it began to shrink and it continued shrinking until it was completely healed. Praise the Lord ! Thank you Jesus for the evidence of the finished work of the Cross !

Beyond that,we had a great time in the company of our loved ones. PTL!  Our way back from Oregon was excellent. No missed turns, flat tires or breaking downs. Thank you Lord for your awesome protection and provision on this trip. A big thank you to all who prayed for us. God has answered your prayers.

Blessings to all
