Re: [revival-fire] Who is Truly Held Accountable

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******

Exactly! Please read again where Matt says "What would happen if instead of just speaking damnation over a city, we invade the city and stand on the promises of God and allow the cries of the righteous to overwhelm the cries of the unrighteous."  Listen to what he's saying!

Of course we should heed the possibility of total devastation of the Bay Area. We need to be prepared. We need to step in when the masses seek answers. But I believe that total devastation has already come to the Bay! I guess I didn't reach anyone with my post about "Revival and the state of the Nation."  Don't you see it? We are now – right now - living with the results of decades of the righteous allowing the cries of the unrighteous to

overpower us. A massive earthquake would only be the physical manifestation of the spiritual destruction that has already taken place.

Look, I grew up in the Bay Area. I was there during the race riots, and I was there while the hippies were having love-ins in People's Park, and Haight-Asbury was established. I wore flowers in my hair. I'm almost old enough to remember what it was like before all the humanism moved in. I have seen the transformation, and it is DEVASTATING! It's like an earthquake hit in slow motion – so slow nobody really noticed.

Over the last 40 years, the enemy has moved in slowly like a stealth, underground mind-machine. The church slept. And the church ignored and even mocked the few prophets who spoke out. The enemy laughed at his own victories – abortion, free love, the dumbing down of education, sexual diversions. The enemy used our own God-given, blood-earned political methods to gain his own goals. But the church wouldn't touch politics with a ten-foot-pole. Nope – too controversial – too confrontational.

About 20 years ago many righteous people began to organize to fight back – to take back some ground. They shoved a few anthills against the massive platelets that had been moved. But they didn't know about revival. While they ran up to the front lines, there was no one covering their back. On the upside, many gates have been opened for others to now run through. It is time to reap where others have sown.

So I say again -  while we're engaged in doing the Main Thing – bringing people to Jesus, and prophesying and healing – how do we balance revival with our responsibility to our families and our future? We have a responsibility to publicly denounce the enemy and stand firm for righteousness! And now we have the force of the revival and the passion of the youth. What is stopping us? We need to roust the enemy from his hiding places.

You know how earthquakes always have tremblers and aftershocks? They are shaking us up right now – quietly – subtly, under the guise of public programs and tolerance education. Will we continue to allow the cries of the unrighteous to overwhelm the cries of the righteous?

******* REVIVAL FIRE!!! *******

This may be too much for all of us at this moment – a downpour of spiritual perceptions.  Yet, for those willing, here is another nugget from the front lines.

When God spoke to Abraham about Sodom and Gomorrah, He said that the cries of the unrighteous have outweighed the cries of the righteous.   What would have happen if the righteous would have invaded the city and stood on the promise of God?

What would happen if instead of just speaking damnation over a city, we invade the city and stand on the promises of God and allow the cries of the righteous to overwhelm the cries of the unrighteous.

When one declares that an act of nature is the judgment of God, who should be held accountable?  The unrighteous?  It is in the nature of sinners to sin.

Or the Righteous, who are supposed to SHINE?

Jesus said that if the salt becomes looses its saltiness then it will be thrown out and trampled under the foot of man.

Who is supposed to be salty?  The Church – you and I!

It is us who are held accountable.

When I see the judgment of God I am grieved, I seek the heart of God and ask, where have I missed it.

Oh Christians, there is a world out there waiting to encounter the God that we so often take for granted.

Let this move us to see the heart of God and hear again the words of JESUS – GO! Go into all the world and preach the GOOD news!

That we would be so impacted that we MOVE!

Blessings

And loving the fact that God is stirring us…….I pray that He stirs us enough to get out of our comfort zones.

In Christ
